The green cheetah was now looking quite lean and taller. She'd grown but not much since her last venture round these parts. Today she was quite far from home and in a familiar spot she knew from when she was small. The scent of lions was very strong, the markings on the trees caused her stop and not venture much further.
Pilate had ventured in hopes to revisit that cub from long ago and see if he really had become the great warrior he said he would. That and she wanted to show him that she had gotten better at hunting and running. Her pink eyes watched from the safe edge of the territory.
Most of her thought it was silly to be sitting on the edge of demon hunter territory looking in for a cub she had only meet once but part of her really hoped he would turn up.
Maybe he learned how to have a good time. The naive cheetah sat and waited.

Buibui'Sefu was sniffing around the edge of the pride. He had seen her in his vision. The little girl he had known when he was a child... still smaller than he was, but he knew her from the bright green and her pink eyes. He had always wondered what had become of her, and now he supposed he was finding out. He could see her, not far away from him.
"Hello Pilate." He told her, approaching and sitting beside her. He had grown a lot, both mind and body... but if anything, he had lost most of his sense of humor, rather than gained one. To be expected, all things considered, but Bui didn't mind. He liked to keep things serious.

Pilate almost fell backwards in her surprise. He had grown so much more then she had, when they had met, she had been the larger of the two but now she was looking up at him.
"Bui!" She cried out, not masking her excitement to see him. He sure had grown that was for sure. She coughed, acting like she was clearing her throat trying to make the airs around her more serious. From what she remembered, as a cub, this boy wasn't the playful sort. Possibly why she was interested in him as a character. You don't forget a small cub claiming to be a mighty warrior.
"You kept your word I see, grown up nice and strong. I suspect the demons run in fear," There was an edge of humor laced in her words. Not in the mocking sense but in the humor you use when your happy to see some one. Pilate was very happy to see Bui. "Did you know I would come back?"

Bui very nealry smiled when she seemed so suprised to meet him. But he rarely showed that much emotion to anyone outside his family. His mother and sisters were the only ones he let see his softer side... and perhaps Tieracase as well, though to a lesser extent.
"The demons haven't seen me yet, I'm still in training." He told her, smirking a little as he watched her. "But I'm closer than ever to reaching my dream... and soon the demons will run in fear from me." And he knew that would happen for sure. He had always loved to see the demons flee in terror...
"Of course I knew you'd come back. I am a seer, aren't I?" He mentioned, his smirk growing a little, "I've been keeping an eye out for you, since I knew you'd come back. I knew you were on your way, I thought I'd meet you." And she was still fast... maybe not as fast as he was, but she was fast. And would only get faster.

Pilate contained her excitement about seeing Bui a little more. She was just happy to see a familiar face from her past. It gave her life a little more meaning to be remembered, and she was greatful for that.
Here she had come to show off, but she found that the one to the right of the spotlight was Bui. She didn't mind, infact she was so happy to see him living his life just how he had told her, many moons ago, he would. His dream was becoming reality and that was something worth the travel to see.
"Your a seer? I hadn't known, " Pilate couldn't stop smiling, she was sure when they were cubs he probably had said something but at the time she hadn't known what the title really had meant. Now with more knowledge about the world under her belt she knew.
The cub cleared her throat and tried to act more serious but her smile was bright on her maw wouldn't go away. "Bui, would you like to hunt with me?"

"Hunt with you?" Bui asked, looking thoughtful. But he might as well, he didn't have much else to do that day, having already been released from his apprenticeship duties. He had already done his best to make sure that he was better than anyone else training with him too.
"And yes, I am a Seer... perhaps I can find us something to eat around here..." He mentioned thoughtfully, glancing around them. Perhaps he could have a vision and find some food... though there was always the old fashioned way.
"Come on, let's go." He said with a sharp nod, looking around them for a good place to start looking.

Pilate didn't question his sense of direction, only nodded and followed after her child hood friend. Her pace was quick, well footed and silent in her normal graceful flow. One thing Pilate had going for her was her grace, even for a cheetah she was graceful.
The cub sniffed the air for any sign of other beings beside them selves, and got a small wiff of something over the grassy plains. Though she couldn't see anything she could smell sweat and scat that didnt belong to a feline.
"What about over there?" Her head jestered towards the area she was sniffing. What ever was over there , she hadn't smelt anything like it before.

Bui watched her keep up, suprised at how swift she was. She was certainly graceful. But he supposed that came with being a cheetah. He had seen her in visions before, he should have known better.
He turned and looked over at her, "Sure, let's head over." He nodded, not caring much one way or the other. He wasn't especially hungry, and this was a good way to pass the time.
And besides which, he was a good hunter. He wasn't worried about living down his reputation.

Pilate, over the last few months, had upped her hunting skills from lizards at least. She wasn't as hungry as she had been when the two first met. No, meals came more readily at her now that she knew how to catch them. Having an older lion sister pretty much kicked a**.
The cheetah nodded and kept beside the lion making sure to be careful not to pass him. The airs around Bui suggested that he liked to be in charge of operations, which was all well and fine with Pilate. Pilate just liked the game of the hunt more then anything and was growing more into a skillful huntress.
"Alright chief," She nodded at him as the two moved along. Still there was no sign of what they were looking for.

Bui was glad that Pilate seemed to be on top of things and wasn't getting in his way. He closed his eyes, standing still for a moment, and then he smiled, "To the east. There are some rabbits in that area who should make a tasty meal." He mentioned, happy as always for his sight.
He headed off in that direction, following his gut as best he could. But then, his gut was his sight, and thus, almost always reliable. He was glad that she kept up with him without over-taking him as well.
He was sure she would be able to keep up, and so would he, but he liked to keep the pace comfortable.

Pilate merely nodded and sprinted after. Her thin limbs were quick, and to her surprise Bui was just a little faster then her. From her experience with lions, it took alot for them to be speedy. They weren't born with the build a cheetah was.
"Your training really shows just in your running," The cheetah grinned at her friend as the two headed toward the strange scent. It was odd, because Pilate had never scented rabbits like this. Was there something else lurking or were these some kind of demonic rabbit. She giggled at the thought of demon rabbits, a mighty python like scene ran through her thoughts, and continued on.
Maybe the territory was messing up her normal sniffing skills.

Bui nodded, "Yes, our strength, speed and stamina has been heavily trained ever since we were young. My mother was very careful to make sure that my siblings and I would be fully prepared for any demon attack, and now that I have my official trainer... believe me, I am completely ready for any hunt, or any attack." Bui told her, obviously quite proud of this fact.
Honestly, if he had been a less arrogant creature, he may have been afraid of fighting the demonic forces when he grew older. But he was, as it turned out, a very arrogant creature. And nothing scared him, even when some things probably should have.
He didn't notice any difference in the smell though. He had lived near the demons and in the lands his entire life. Besides which, his ability to see what went on in the present often prevented him from improving his other hunting skills. He didn't much care about that kind of thing as it was.

Pilate walked silently, amazed, at Bui's maturity for a short while. Her naive loving point of view made it all the more stunning to the cub.
Her amazement was cut short as a hare poked it's head from the tall grass only to disappear again. They were close to a family.
Her eyes wandered over to Bui, waiting for any indication of what to do.

Bui looked down and her and smirked, "I suppose we should do this exactly the same way we did before... you chase it, while I find a good position... drive it over to me, and I shall capture it. Then we will have something to eat. There are quite a few over there though... so be sure you only chose one. After all, we don't want to lose them." He reminded her.
He supposed that she was probably used to this kind of thing, living on her own... but he didn't really care. They would be far easier to catch with two than one, and he had never turned down an advantage in his entire life.

The cheetah nodded and crept low on her belly. This was a familiar picture in her memory and made her smile some. Slowly she crept in the grass eying for movement, or long ears.
A pair of ears followed by another pair of ears popped up in the tall grass. No good since there were two. The green cheetah shifted directions and crept to where a strong smell was coming from. Every paw movement was carefully calculated and noiseless.
Out of the brush popped another pair of ears, black and only one set. The cheetah diverted her attention once again to them. Slowly, and steadily the cheetah crept and crept until she launched her self into a sprint after the fat thing. It took a sharp turn, but Pilate followed perfectly blocking its way sending the frantic creature towards Bui's direction.
