The little streak of green was finding she wasn't as small as she used to be. Her legs were longer and more slender, and she could actually see over the grass now. That alone made the cub's walk have a bit of bounce in it. She was growing up and catching up to her adopted sister in size. Maybe one day the two, together, would be able to bring down larger prey that wasnt sickly.
Pilate stopped in front of a little fast stream of cool water and started to lap it up. It was refreshing and cool, a nice treat for being about in the hot African plains all day.
Fast movement of minnow's caught her eye moving down the stream. The cub giggled and awkwardly padded down the base of the stream after them. After all she was still a cub, though a little taller, her maturity was still much to be desired.

Adetokundo wandered among the grasses keeping an eye out for signs of life to avoid. She was a shy thing and spoke little.
Her ears picked up the sound of a stream and she padded towards it, still keeping her eyes open. Her grey-blue form not quite blending with the grass, camouflage was a lost cause for her until the sun set and the world darkened.
She reached the stream and dipped her fore-paws into it, the fur soaking and darkening as the water flowed. She bent her head and lapped up a few mouthfuls of water before looking around slowly. She spotted an oddly pelted cheetah near the base of the stream and she tensed.

Pilate didn't spot the blue lioness at first, her mind were on the brightly colored minnow's that were swimming about. It wasn't until she was so close she could see the whites of the others eyes that she noticed her. Her first thought was big.
Strangely enough , the little cheetah had never come across a full grown lion. She lived with one , but Val was only a teen and not full grown. Pilate couldn't help but mouth the words wow.
She took a few steps forward and stopped, smiling at the other, head tilted. She wasn't sure what to say and wasnt aware staring was rude.

Adet shifted uncomfortable in place, feeling the gaze of the younger one. She looked down and backed up, her tail wrapped around her left hind leg.
"H-h-hello?" Adet stammered out, needing a way to break the silence that had been ringing in her ears since the cub had begun looking at her.

Th cheetah cub took another step closer and smiled.
"Your so tall!" She contained her excitement but looking in her eyes you could tell this cub was excited about it. "I mean, not a bad thing but I bet you could like kill a whole zebra your self!!!!" Okay, so maybe she wasnt doing such a good job of containing her excitement.
Pilate took a few paw steps closer, still giving the stranger plenty of personal space, "I'm Pilate. Who are?" Her head tilted again and her large ears flopped to the side she was tilting.

She took another tentative step backwards, trying to keep a small smile on her face.
"I-I'm tall?" she looked down at the cheetah, a half confused, half afraid look across her face. "I d-don't think I could take a whole zebra alone, no. They're bigger than me."
"H-hello Pilate, I-I'm Adetokunbo, but please, call me Adet."

Pilate took a seat where she was. The tension from the other was a little thick and she didn't want to push her luck by getting closer. It was obvious the other preferred her space.
" Me and my sister took down a zebra once." She smiled proudly, leaving out the part that the zebra the two took down was already injured, and a baby. It sounded better with out those small details. Also the fact that her quote on quote sister was a nearly full grown lion and did most of the work. Yeah, the way she said sounded just fine.
"I think you could take down one too. You look really strong." She giggled and rolled onto her back looking up at the other, "I'm Pilate, its nice to meet you Adet."

"A w-whole zebra...?" Adet sat and tilted her head at the youngling. She looked the cheetah up and down, puzzled. She was smaller than Adet, that was for sure. If her sister was near the same size... Zebras were big.
"How did you do it?" Adet looked very interested now, leaning into the cheetah slightly, "Zebras are big... how big is your sister?"

The cub blushed, but the red color on the cheeks was not visible through her brightly colored fur.
"Well, " Should she lie? She hadn't really lied before just left out a few juicy details... which was close enough to lieing. The cub sighed, "It wasn't full grown yet and had a hurt leg.. " She smiled up at the other. Even if the thing had been an easy catch she was proud of it. Her sister had done the killing part.
"My sisters not as big as you yet but she's quite big... and a lion."

Adet smiled, "But you still brought down a zebra. The state of it prior to you and her taking it matters not. Did you eat all of it?" She tilted her head.
"Your sister is a lion, is she? She's lucky to have such a smart cheetah as a sister," she nodded.

Again , Pilate blushed. She liked this lion, she was nice.
"Thank you," Her head bowed slightly in respect to the lioness. "We didn't eat the whole thing but I had my fill," She smiled, "Do you hunt?" The cubs ears perked and her smile widened as she watched the other.

"Aye, I try to. Though, I'm most definitely not the best huntress around," she looked across the horizon and sighed, "actually now that I think about it I haven't hunted in a while..."

The cub looked astounded at that. Her face quickly cleared back to her normal bubbly expression.
"Really?" She didn't gasp or make any sound to follow it , but clearly she was a little surprised, " Are you of some high position in a pride?"

Adet smiled and shook her head, "No, I'm just a hungry rogue. Haven't found a pride or family to root me to one spot yet, but I'm waiting for it to happen."

Pilate's ears lowered some, "Your hungry?" That was the worst feeling in the world , to this cub at least. She sat there for a small amount of time before getting up, "Well, I'll go get you something to eat then!" With that the cub stood in the cool waters of the stream waiting for some worthy prey to be swept this way. After all it was for a worthy cause. Her face was completely consentrated.
