Story:
Season 1: Sora Naegino travels from japan to the US with dreams of joining the Kaleido Star. An very famous acrobatic stage and performance group that she saw when she was very young with her mother and father. After reaching however she gets detoured by a strange man, a thief who grabs her bag and then by the police (who kindly then rush her to kaleido stage). However she ends up reaching late for the audition and is rejected by her idol Leyla Hamilton (Who tells her that she should just go back to japan and come back next year). Luckily for Sora however, another acrobat gets injured just before the show and the owner Kalos (the stranger from earlier) gives her permission to jump in and take the injured acrobat's place. At first she's rejected but Kalo's reconsiders and decides to keep her claiming that she has potential to one day be a star. After that Sora struggles to be acknowledged by the other performers including her idol Layla (who sees her as a threat) and become a real Kaleido Star.
Season 2:
Sora returns to Kaleido Star after attempting Legendary Great Maneuver. Because of Leyla's injury Kalo's recruits a new star by the name of Leon Oswald. However, Leon refuses to acknowledge Sora as his new partner. At the same time someone else now comes to the stage named Mei Wong. Mei also dreams of being a top Kaleido Star just like Leyla and wants to do everything to defeat Sora and win Leon's favor.

I love this anime!! I never thought I'd be interested in a acrobatic anime type but it caught my attention. I watched it in dubbed and the english voices are OK. Ken was....ah....terrible? Well moving on. (lol)
I highly recommend others to watch it. It's hard to explain but it's one of those shows that catches your attention. Sora is an acrobat and has to endure a lot of drama(difficulties) along the way. The artwork is pretty decent and the storyline keeps you hooked b/c it's one of those anime that's just nice. Give it a try! ^_^
