Rules:
1. No godmodding. AT ALL. If I see that a battle has been going on too long or any other sign of GMing, I will change the story as I see fit.
2. You are allowed up 6 pokemon and thats all. This means you do NOT HAVE TO have 6 pokemon. NO LEGENDARIES. The pokemon will all be set at "Level 50" to make all battles fair.
3. Move sets are limited to 4 moves, no OHKOs, and the moves must be learnable by the corrisponding pokemon
4. I hate to be un-creative, but no made up pokemon or moves, please.
5. Of course, respect all guild members...blah, blah, Gaia ToS, blah blah.
6. Most important, DRAG THIS ON AS LONG AS POSSIBLE :3
7. All pokemon battle of whatever stature will be 3 on 3.
8. (Not really a rule but...)Teachers are minor characters, only in the background during class scenes in which more important things occur other than learning. I will be playing not only a student but also as the Headmaster, but only when it is necessary (which it wont be most of the time :3)
9. The story has a set path, that is EXTREMELY flexible, there is a begining, and an ending, the middle is up to you as the RPer. Each role has its specific guidlines, so please bear with me. As soon as the mystery is solved, the life at the Academy will return to normal, and it will become a free reign RP...that still abides to the rules above....but maybe not rule 8 :3
Plot:
It is several months into the school year for Arkeus Longton's Academy for the Battle gifted. Everything is normal until several weird going-ons start popping up. The students are dissapearing, there are a strange increase in the pokemon population on school grounds, and an unnaturally "chummy" relationship between the Electric-type geeks and the several Dark/Ghost-type trainers. Could there be a consipracy a-foot? When a group of students tries to investigate, it's only a matter of time until the truth is revealed.

Setting: The school is set up in a far off corner of the Resort Area in the Sinnoh Reigon. Most students at this school are rich although there are a few middle class students. The classes are varied (and created at you, the rp-er's leizure). The school is a basic 3 story building surrounded by varried terrains to better suit Pokemon training.

Bio: Robert was born into the world under the night a Ho-oh flew overhead, a sign of a blessed child. Robert was raised by his parents who ran a pokemon egg farm and nursery. It was there he learned how to properly care for pokemon, and where he quickly became attached to them. As a child, one pokemon he had become close to was a hatched Riolu and the two became inseperable. On his tenth birthday, his parents allowed him to choose five pokemon eggs to take as his future partners, as he prefered to raise pokemon from the moment they were hatched rather than catching them through battle. His travels took him to all four regions: Kanto, Sinnoh, Johto and his home region of Hoenn. Although he was a skilled trainer, the best he had been able to accomplish was getting to the second round of the Indigo Plateau league. Learning of the university during his travels through Sinnoh, Robert used his gathered winnings from the gym battles and contests to enroll, seeking to better himself as a trainer.

Bio:Noah has always been a very oh how to put it....a very strange child.He grew up in a rich home but was never spoiled.Noah always loved electric type pokemon and science.He never made any friends in school because he was always teased as a boy and that pushed off the edge into madness.Noah has always believed in science over all and put it before people anyday.Rumor has it that his own parents deemed him so crazy that he was put into an asylum but that may just be a rumor.What is true however is that his parents sent him to the Pokemon Academy to try and get over his madness and make some friends.He does;however,take very good care of his pokemon and they seem to be the only thing besides science that he cares for.And yes he walks around with goggles and a stethoscope on him he's that crazy.Not to mention he has an attitude problem where he has to be right about anything.

Bio: Cas was abandoned from her family at the age of 7. She had lived across the world, drifting from town to town just to make a decent living. When she first came across a pokemon, a Scyther that would be her first pokemon, her life changed forever. Cas was so gifted at pokemon, that she was considered a prodigy. By 17, she had saved enough money to enroll in the Arkeus Longton Academy.

((Okay let the RP begin, we will all start in the school's auditorium, where Headmaster Arkeus is holding a school meeting about the dissapearances...for the 5th time this month))

Derek glanced around the vast auditorium, the entire school seemed to be seated in this small place at various circular tables scattered througout the room. The walls were scattered with various posters portraying random pokemon accompanied by various sayings. At one far end of the room, stood the stage, and on it, a lone podium. Headmaster Arkeus was at said podium, struggling to speak above the murmmur of the various conversations taking place around the auditorium. Derek slightly leaned back in his chair,"Ugh," he sighed, "How many times do we need to be told students are missing...". He glanced around at the kids nearest to him, he believed their names were Mathias and Cas, he wasn't expecting an answer, but you never know.

((Two edits later and this opening post still seems insignificant compared to some of the others... ._.))

Sitting in the seat two to the right of Derek was Noah Antwiller.He was quietly laughing to himself."Mmmmmm,"He cackled,"Who cares that people are missing my SCIENCE is more important than these pathetic creatures why must I be bothered by this crap!?"Noah shuffled his hands near his face and had an insane grin on his face.

"It's really not a smart move on the school's part to tell us about things we already know in such a repetative and frequent manner. All it does is increase both the paranoia of the scared students and desensatises everyone else to the seriousness of the matter. If anything, they should just close the school down for a little while and bring in professional investigators to handle this. Keeping everyone here is only going to give the culprit access and a feeling of superiority. If something like the school's shutdown were to occur, the culprit would have more to worry about since the students would be transfered away from this facility, leaving the faculty to be investigated. And if the disappearances were to continue while the faculty were under investigation, then we would know for a fact that a student or group of students were involved." Matthias replied in a calm tone of voice. taking out a bag of gummi bears, he began popping a few into his mouth. "Either of you two want some?" he asked.

Derek righted his chair and looked over to Matthias, "Uh...no thanks." He then glanced over to the clearly insane boy next to Matthias. wonder what he's so happy about.... He returned his attention to Matthias, "Well, what would make you think it would be one of the staff members? They're all so old and boring...none of them would be-" "QUIET!!!" In an instant nearly all of the students in the auditorum turned their heads to the stage and by default, Headmaster Arkeus. The headmaster looked surprised at the sudden attention and quickly cleaned himself up; righted his bright red tie, adjusted his white lab coat, and slicked back a stray strand of gray hair. "Ahem. Now that I have your attention, I'd just like to remind you to be extremely carefull at night, and that the new curfew is at 7:00. All students caught out of their rooms or wandering in the dorms past this time will be punished. Also, the Battle tourney that signals the semester will be canceled," quite a few "boo"s and "aww"s rumbled through the auditorium, "On account of the number of missing students. Thank you for your time and patience, you may all return to your dorms"

((Uh forgot to mention the dorms o.o The dorms are a building next to the woods on the east side of the academy. Ironically enough, all the main characters share the same floor (floor 3) of this 5 story building. As you can imagine, it must be very wide to house so many students. Oh yeah, and each room houses one student and features whatever you want it to :3))

Noah stood up after being told that they could go back to their dorms."Finally this stupid meeting is over now I can get back to my SCIENCE!"Noah said and then started to quietly laugh insanely with a grin on his face.He walked by Derek and headed out the auditorium door towards his dorm room laughing and talking to himself the whole way out.

Derek gave an annoyed glance over to Noah as he was followed out of the auditorium. Why would he be following me? Oh wait...we have the same dorm floor. He then glanced over to Matthias and Cas as they walked along side Derek, Mathias hadn't said much, and Cas hadn't said anything at all. He wondered what could be on their minds.

Matthias was quiet along the walk, but mostly because of Noah's ramblings and insideous laughter. Such a blatent disregard to the concerns of the safety of his classmates, and he seems to do nothing but over emphasize his love for science. He's clearly insane and purposefully draws attention to himself. Is he acting this way to cover up something else? Or is he genuinely like this? Either way it might do me some good to keep an eye on this guy. Matthias thought to himself. He was rather disappointed about the tournament, but that was nothing compared to what was going on at the school. Once he reached his dorm, he turned to look at the others. "I'll see you folks later. Feel free to visit if you want." He spoke as he entered into his room.

The room was quite large, featuring a small pool for water type pokemon, a fireplace, a queen sized bed, a computer desk where he kept his laptop and 3-in-one scanner/copyer/printer set up. a nightstand with lamp and the doorway into his bathroom. Robert took out his pokeballs and released all of his pokemon into the room. "Alright everyone. First some bad news. There's not going to be a tournament for the beginning of the semester. All that means is that we'll simply keep working as we have been to improve our strategies as a team." he then looked over to his Gardevoir. "Lilly, I have a task for you tonight, but we will talk about it later." He spoke with a calm tone of voice.

Noah ignored Matthias and walked past him to get to his own room.His door was covered with "Keep Out!" signs and one of which read,"Keep Out!Trespassers will be electrocuted!!" and underneath it on the sign was words that were written with a permanent marker,"WITH SCIENCE!!(and yes science was in bold marker.)He opened his door,quickly went inside,and proceeded to shut the door behind him.He turned on the light and looked around.Inside his room was all sorts of beakers and test tubes and other assorted electrical devices.It had one double size bed in the corner next to one the desks and on that desk next to some of Noah's science crap was his computer.He also had a drawer were he stored his clothes which were really all the same things:a bunch of white lab coats and some black pants."MMMmmmmm AHHHHHH,"He cackled,"Now where was I?Oh yes SCIENCE!"He then went over to his computer and started working on many complicated scientific formulas while talking to himself.

Cas had been silent the whole time since the assembly. She was nervous, but didn't want the other students to know. She hadn't made any friends at all really. Everyone was simply acquaintances. She was saddened by the fact that curfew was now 7:00. Now she'd have to sneak in and out at night. There was no way she'd stay coped up in her dorm for that long. She waved to Matthias and Derek (Noah had already left into his room, so she didn't get to wave to him), still without a word, and went into her room. Once the door was closed she looked around and said, "Man, I need to get some stuff." All that was in her room was the bed provided, and a lamp she had found discarded in an ally. "Well, I guess it's not as bad as some of the places I've been in. At least there's a floor!" She giggled at her own remark. She pulled out her pokeballs and released her pokemon. "Ok team! They've made our nightly trip even harder to make. And on top of it all, I'm still worried about the students missing. I'm so afraid that I'll be next..." Cas's Scyther nudged her hand with his head full of sympathy. Cas smiled, then said, "Yeah... I've got you guys! I should be fine!" Cas returned her pokemon, and then leaned next to the window, watching the sun. Wishing the sun would hurry up and set.

Derek quietly watched the others go to their dorm rooms before walking...right back out of the dorms. He decided that he needed a little stress relief and he only knew one way to do it. He threw a two Dusk Balls into the darkening twilight sky and watched as they released two of his three faithful companions in a flash of dark void. "Dusk!" Yono, Derek's Dusknoir, chuckled and slapped Derek on the back, he couged "Nice to see you too." Next he knew his sight was shouded by something squishy, soft, and purple, "Hello there Fuwara, you know what to do." Derek's Drifblim, Fuwara, wrapped it's "arms" around his waist and hoisted him to the top of the dorms with Yono close behind. Once at the roof, Fuwara gently brought Derek back to solid ground, "Thanks for your help again, Fuwara" He took out a Dusk Ball and called his Drifblim back. "Okay Yono, your turn. Use Shadow Sneak!" Yono grabbed Derek and sunk into the floor that was the roof. On the floor below, he called Yono back and found the room he was looking for, completely abandoned just like the rest of the 5th floor, and bare except for an old Grand Piano. He sighed, "I really should be trying to find out more about these dissapearances, but I guess that can wait till tomorrow, it is Sunday after all." He slowly walked to the piano and began to play his favorite song, the Moonlight Sonata.

Robert already had the syllibus out for his classes. It was always a good idea to get as much done around the begining of the semester as one could in order to make life easier later on. A few required essays to be written for the finals. Even though he did not have the full layout of what they wanted, the topics that the classes wanted written on were clearly labeled in the syllibuses. he could at the very least crank out a few rough drafts that he could put to the side and simply refine later once the format required was presented. "Lily, could you pass my litterature book please?" Robert asked. the gardevoir gave a nod and used her psychic attack to lift up the book and float it over into Robert's hand. "Thank you my dear." he spoke. "Now, all of you, I want you to train on close quarters evasion. Just make simple yet fast physical attacks with your partner and avoid being hit by thiers. Try to be at precise in your dodges as you can. Judges take away more points from the opponent if attacks like those an be successfully dodged repeatedly." he spoke before getting to work on the rough draft for his lit. final essay.
