Kitou:
Ooo, what was that? She'd heard the phrase curiousity killed the cat, but Kitou believed in no such thing, strongly feeling that curiousity were the foundations of new discoveries and new life. After all, if someone hadn't been curious enough to wander across these lands, would her beloved En Gedi ever have been formed? Would Africa in general have ever been found? Numerous questions flashed through the tan-coloured juvenile's mind as she crawled after the interesting beetle she'd found, wriggling underneath a fallen column and bouncing further into the ruins.
It was true that as she'd grown, she'd become more curious and adventurous. It wasn't true, however, that she wanted to speak any more than before. She still felt that you shouldn't say anything unless you needed to, and remained a quiet yet observant young female. She was smart - not overly so, but her intelligence was more of a strength than anything else.
The beetle crawled forwards a little more, Kitou's emerald eyes trained on the shiny black shell with excitement. That soon faded, however, when wings appeared from the shell, carrying the insect out of a small window leading outside. Pouting to herself, Kitou allowed an irritated growl to rip from her maw as she moved forwards, standing in the sunlight being allowed in through the window. Ah...sun. She did enjoy it.
Ahava:
Ahava was relaxing in the ruins now. Earlier she'd been practicing her hunting, as per usual. Although she did not really need the practice she likes to stay in peek condition, it would do the pride no good for her to falter during an hunt. She thought she would have a quiet afternoon to herself but a small growl caught her attention. It sounded far off but not to far. Ahava headed in the direction of the growl hoping one of the prides cubs was not in danger.
Ahava quickly found the cub, who appeared to be grazing out a window. Ahava smiled and padded over none to quietly attempting to make her presence known. “Hello, there. You gave me quiet a fright with your growl. I was relaxing when I heard it and thought you might be in trouble. But thank the skies, you seem fine.”
Kitou:
Kitou nearly jumped when she heard another voice - she'd been too buy enjoying the sun, and had even been about to begin purring due to the lovely warmth over her fur. But then another lionness walked in and she made to start running, before recognizing the markings on the female. Whilst she didn't recognize the lionness specifically the markings painted onto her where most definitely En Gedi. She was a friend.
Kitou managed a weak smile, but nothing more, causing a stony silence to fall over the pair. ...Well what did this female want, for Kitou to recite her life story? She didn't really have much of one, she was only a juvenile. And there was nothing to really say, was there? She hadn't been asked any questions, and idle chitchat was a waste of valuable words. Allowing a sigh to part her lips, the young lionness finally relenting, looking rather awkward as she finally released a meek "Hello."

Ahava:
Ahava thought it weird that the cub was so quiet usually with most cubs would have excitedly introduced themselves and asked her tons a questions. She smiled at the cub, who seemed to know she was not a threat, but was not very inclined to give into the cubish instincts of becoming a waterfall of words. At the small hello, Ahava figured she may as well introduce herself.
“It nice to meet you. I am Ahava.”
She walked over to the small window and sighed as a small breeze ran though her fur. She loved this place it was so quiet, very good for thinking and relaxing. Her eyes traveled from the light to the ruin marking it illuminated. The markings were very similar to the ones on her shoulder and breifly she wondered what they meant.
Kitou:
The other lionness seemed to catch on to the fact that Kitou didn't enjoy speaking as much as an average cub - whilst she preferred to save her word,s she wasn't a fan of awkward silences. Most of her family knew to move on if she didn't reply, and no more was said. But with strangers, it was different and awkward. This one seemed smart enough to catch on, though, and Kitou was grateful.
"Kitou," came the same small voice, as Kitou followed the lioness over to the window, also standing in the breeze. She purred, closing her eyes as a wide smile spread over her face, wriggling her butt around a little on the ground It was nice...but cooooold!
Ahava:
Ahava grinned at the cub called Kitou, thinking she might be the cub to see just how special the ruins are. She knew many animals made their home in the ruins and she was quite sure that one day it would be the ruins that offered her totem. Though the ruins were abandoned very long ago, Ahava felt the life pulsing through them.
“Kitou, is a lovely name,” she said moving across the cold ruin floor to the marking on the wall illuminated by the small light from the window. “The ruins are a wonderful place,” she started seemly thinking out loud, “they tell a story, but its hard to find if one is looking. The ruins are filled with life, but one must be quiet and listen to find it.”
Ahava looked to the cub and gave a small wink before her ears twitched a bit and she moved aside a rock and revealed a small green frog that hopped up onto Ahava head making her giggle slightly. She had to looks silly with such a bright creature on her head.

Kitou:
Kitou blinked her eyes open as Ahava spoke, offering a small smile as thanks. She'd never thought of her name as pretty - Dione had a far prettier name, in Kitou's opinion. But she did like her name - it was simply, and easy to remember. Unlike Sylar's - he had to shorten his, it was so ridiculously difficult!
She closed her eyes again, letting the breeze blow over her once more as Ahava continued to speak. it was all stuff Kitou already knew, though - she was a smart cub. She knew that listening was more important than speaking, hence why she rarely spoke in more than a whisper. Often she'd just sit and listen, to learn nature's secrets. A giggle caused Kitou to open her eyes once more, the juvenile turning to look at Ahava. She personally didn't see the amusement of a frog on the lioness' head, but offered another small smile none the less, watching Ahava curiously.
Ahava:
Ahava grinned as the frog jumped of and hopped along on it merry way. Ahava suddenly got an idea and looked to Kitou who was watching her. She smiled brightly, her enthusiasm shining through. Kitou seemed to intigue her and she wondered what place the cub would hold with in the pride when she grew. Not only that but she was wearing flowers, which is where Ahava idea came from.
“Would you like to explore? There is something wonderful I would like to show you.”
It was a garden closer to the edge of the ruins, or it has once been a garden, but although it was over grown their was obvious rhythm to the 'garden' and plants found their she hadn't seen in other parts of the jungle or around the main pride lands. She made a note to speak to her brother about it later.
The garden was a little ways off, but their were a few interesting things to see on the way like the weird solid reflection, one could even touch it, also a painting of humans she supposed. The walked on two legs and had no fur.
Kitou:
She was...smiling at her? Feeling very awkward now, Kitou forced another smile back, eyes darting around for a way out. She was feeling awkward here, and didn't like it. Ahava was lovely - she was sure. But she was tired, and small, and getting irritated by the increasing pressure on her to speak.
Explore? A snort and disgusted wrinkle of the nose should've gotten the message aross pretty quickly. Whilst Kitou enjoyed adventuring places unknown, she didn't like exploring, as much. Places she knew were fine. But bad experiences down a hole had put her off exploring for a good while yet. She shook her head, offering a small, apologetic smile to Ahava as she turned, beginning to make her way out of the ruins. She should be getting back to Papa, anyway.

Ahava:
Ahava looked to the young cub wondering if she had offended her. She decided to voice this fact, "Sorry if I offended you. Its fine if you do not want to go." She gave a small laugh, "I only wanted to show you the garden. Its a bit messy but I think it is lovely."
Ahava turned to head off to the garden on her own, but turned to back for a moment. "Goodbye then, I will see you around I sure." With that she turned and headed toward the garden.
Kitou:
Kitou paused, turning her head back to watch Ahava as the older lionness spoke. She hadn't offended her - Kitou just dind't like exploring, was all. Her forehead scrunched in her mild confusion, but before she could say or do anything the older lionness was off - presumably to this garden. With an audible sigh, Kitou turned herself, continuing on in the direction she'd been heading. She wanted to play with Papa, anyway - he was always gentle with her, unlike all her brothers...
