How do you open your town gates without actually going out? Like if you want to give someone your friend code and have them come in?
The only give me the option of going out. Never to just open them.
P.S. I'm sorry I sound so lame and desperate.
I'm kinda new at this.

There should be an option "Invite guests" when you talk to the watchdog.

but then they tell me to have them on my list and all that.
i thought you could just have them open and if people knew your code they could just walk in and be like: lalalalalaaaa.
you only get to invite a specific person?

Not only does the other player have to have your charactetr name/town name/friend code added to their friendslist, you must also have all of their information added 3nodding
