Hopefully people will use this thread as a kind of bulletin board to get paired up, whether you want to learn or are willing to teach, or simply want a conversation partner. You can put down as much or as little info as you want. I think a good start would be to declare what you want (teacher/student/conversation partner), your prefered means of communication (gaia messages/email/messenger of choice), and maybe even the hours you are usually online (try to adjust them to Pacific Standard Time, just to make it easier) so you can get paired up with someone who will actually be online the same time as you. Let's see how this goes . . . New: I have added a meebo chat client to my blog, so people can chat with me, no messenger required. i need at sensei-sama.my hours are usually later in the day,around 7-8 easter,i have no idea the time in PST.i have yahoo and aol instant messangers.me emails are modsoul3@yahoo.com and modsoul3@aol.com. the messenger addresses are the same as email addresses.i am thirteen,and havnt taken a couse yaet,mostly have just learned a bit from the novel shogun,and from shonen jump's,kanji of the month,and from thier nihongo lessons.

Hello I am looking for a conversation partner who can teach me basic Japanese. Im 17 and going to collage next year, I havent taken any Japanese courses only because my school did not offer them. I'm a sophmore in highschool and am currently in my 3rd transcript-reconized year of Japanese.
I'm looking for someone that is willing to teach or be taught, and is also willing to help me proof my essays and speeches before I turn them in. I'm looking forward to talking to anyone over AIM, PM, or email.

7th grade student that only knows a hand full of japanese words and phrases.

i have just started learning japanese about six months ago and i am looking for a conversation partner and/or teacher that is willing to teach me. i am 22 and i am a quarter japanese. i can only understand what is said to me. that is why i am searching for someone that is willing to walk me through learning how to say things in Japanese the right way and without an accent.
