[PRP] You -almost- speak my language (Hataki x Imamu) FIN

Hataki had managed to sneak off from his family again. Honestly, why did they even keep him around anymore? He didn't help with the hunting, he didn't help watch or play with his siblings. He never listened to his parents anyway. He was just there, and very good at being 'in the way' as well. The young wild dog guess that it could be because of this whole "stick together as a loving family" nonsense, but he wasn't so keen on going through with that idea/tradition.

His simple white and gray coat didn't blend in very well with the green and gold grasses of the savannah, but he crouched and made a game of disguising himself from others that could possibly be nearby.

He whispered and played with himself, imagining that there was a big, bad lion on the other side of that hill, and Hataki was going to pounce the lion before he could pounce the wild dog himself. His back legs tensed and he positioned himself for the perfect pouncing.

See this wild dog was something else. She only listened to her father and twin. Mostly. Half-heartly she would cuddle up to her mother~ Half heartedly. Wanting only her father's approval which meant to BE stronger. She stalked now.. Low to the ground.. The grass was high and blowing in every direction possible- except it mostly hit east..

She was getting stronger and this would be the first hunt on her own. For BIG prey.

The gazelle were jumping about- some were playing- some eating. She focused on the one's whom looked the happiest. Her paws stretched.. her claws slicked out.. She couldn't wait. But the worst thing. Was.. when another predator tried to get a kill. Which this time was a lioness~ and a big one to be exact. She quickly and viciously took down a male which made all the gazelle flee- Imamu wasn't the type to give up unless it was useless.

So. She ran after them with all her might.. Not even too concerned over the lioness that seemed to take down her prey as easily. What she didn't know is that lionesses usually travel in packs. Dare-devil wasn't even close to what came to Imamu- some thought it was ignorance. But she thought it was DETERMINATION.

There was an unsettling hill just above her and she could see it- looking up as a gazelle was running length to length with her. With the hill coming up close- she managed to jump with all her might- with the hill being her anchor grab around the gazelle's hip- causing it to trip with her own legs.. falling almost right on top of the boy- but they missed by a few feet. With the impact Imamu clung her jaw in to the hip- not letting got.. but the gazelle was dead. Death by twisting its neck when the fall happened. The wild dog was breathing hard.. blood was sinking in to her mouth as though she ran a marathon. Too tired to get up.

Hataki had no freaking clue as to what had just happened. He had been missed by only inches when that other wild dog and that gazelle came flying overhead, only to land nearby. What in the world had possessed the other youngster to do something like that?!

Intrigued, but only because he could possibly berate the other for their stupidness, Hataki stood and trotted over to the place where she (for he found that once he neared, it was indeed a she) had landed, her teeth still tightly locked into the flesh of the gazelle.

"Uh...you can let go now, you know. It's dead," he told her, poking the prey with a paw just to make sure. It looked dead and it was bleeding, but you never knew with some animals...

Imamu's heart raced..clinging. Her jaws sunk in more.. Moments later she heard a voice.. making her eyes shoot open.. Looking around.. It all happened so fast.. She could hardly grasp it. But right now her jaws were locked against bone and meat.. Words. Frank words.. Which made her chest rise with a light chuckle before shaking her head a little.. to help get it loose and when he finally did. She brought her face up.

A light chuckle yet again.

"Thanks..." She cocked her head up and lightly wagged her tail. But she still laid there next to it.. half her body was under the leg that seemed to weigh a TON now. Her mouth painted with red.. licking her chin but couldn't get to most of it... Composing herself..

"I.. did it.. " Her cheeks under the blue fur were pink now. "I did it.. Father will be proud.." Head nudging against the dead thing.. shaking.. She looked at what happened and indeed she got herself in a mix.. "Can't.. move.." She tugged a little with the slight strength she had. Ears tucking back. She tugged again and growled..

"If you don't have anything better to do- go. There is a lioness..Just above that hill- a lil ways.." Her voice was raspy. Probably inform him before she somehow gets out from under this thing and drag it back home.

What on earth was she doing? This was one strange wild dog; Hataki had never met someone like this before. She was...really weird.

"Yeah, sure, whatever." The male made a strange face at the other and backed upa little bit, just in case she decided to do something crazy. He didn't want to be anywhere near her if he didn't have to be. He didn't notice that she was stuck until she mentioned it and started to try and tug away. Hataki rolled his eyes, not really wanting to help at all.

But he knew he should.

Without saying a word, the older wild dog approached and took a leg to drag away from her. He hoped she wouldn't jump him, and hoped that she wouldn't take it the wrong way. He ignored her warning about the lioness. If that cat came, he could take her. Lionesses were stupid anyways.

She laughed with a very cocky way.. "Ah-huh." After the leg was moved- she barely could make it out and then once she did she jumped along and walked around in a very proud manner. She did it- she did it~ not knowing that it was pure psychics that led her to her win.

Smelling the kill and nodding as though he helped in some way.. then just a tad bit later she laid on it.

"The lion can come." She explained.. "The smell of food and driving us away from it~ BUT that won't happen to me!!!" She laughed as she leaped in to the air and snagged one of the legs then tried to drag the oversized kill to her lil den where she could admire it then share it with the family. Knowing that her mother did all the hunting ~ for the 12 family members with them. Nine were her size! Siblings non the less.

As the wilddog talked.. she unknowningly spoke truth.. The lioness was not far from them now.. and her body sunk low to the ground. A rogue probably.. with no real family as she was stalking and hunting pretty much alone. The lioness homed in on where they were.. smelling the kill and having lost the chance of her own kill.. A shame. But a wilddog that did it for her? Was an even bigger shame but~~~ one could never complain when hungry. Right?

Great. She was one of those stuck-up know-it-alls, Hataki guessed, from the way she acted and what she said after he had so mercifully freed her.

"Look, dummy, if there's a lioness out there that you just hunted after, there's no way you'd be able to beat her in a fight. Even if they're stupid, they're bigger and stronger than you. Especially because she's probably a full-grown lioness and you're barely past the age of a pup." He watched as she tried to drag the big gazelle away, probably to her den to gobble all of it up greedily.

"AND, if she does come to get revenge or an easy meal, or whatever, I'm gone. I'm not helping you, and it's your own stupidity if you die today."  

[Chi Sohma]

She stopped and whirled around. Almost angry.. well one so small can be cute when angry.. but her fur bristled and barked. "Well... I'd just have to! Because.. because.. momma can't do ALL the hunting alone and besides. Lions and big and stupid.. I can out run them. I can't die today!"

And just when she said that.. the lioness had made good time, pin pointed them.. and pounced on the hill...above them. Smirking with her teeth hungrily. Waiting for the right time to just pop in. "Stupid are ~~~~we?" She laughed..

Imamu's ears went up..and then low as she growled... fear touching the edges of her paws... and slowly started to consume her. Her growl was pathetic.. her legs outstretched and her tail up in the air.. She... couldn't loose this! Stupid as it was... It was the good of the family! Its what DRAGONS DO!  

[Kytora]

Hataki raised an eyebrow at her outburst and was about to reply with another smart comment when, lo and behold, the lioness had found them. Her toothy grin glinted with the rays of the sun just as the darkness of the realization with exactly what kind of situation he was in hit him.

Fantastic.

"Of course you're stupid," he couldn't help but retort. "Everyone knows that. Wild dogs have always been and always will be smarter than lions." He narrowed his eyes at the lioness and took a small step back, preparing himself for...whatever happened next. Whether he was going to run or (he couldn't believe he was even thinking about doing this) fighting back.

The lioness was almost perplexed with this now becoming situation.. They didn't run.. and were not afraid? Oh such things only happened once in a lioness's life. Stupidity of other species.. she didn't get along much with them at all.. Neither did she care for them. "Ah.. so you think your 'smarter'~" She laughed then jumped across and whirled around to have them in a corner.. smelling the richness of meat in front of her. But lowly growled as she felt rather insulted.. then took a step forward.. "The smart ones~ have put themselves in a fine predicament.~ In a corner.. and dead soon enough." She growled even more lowly but deadily.. "And a mouth yea have on yea. Soon to be taken off."

Imamu looked beside her for just a second.. "You said-" But then the lion jumped and it made her quickly side step and get again in to position to attack if needed. Growling. "Yea! Your stupid!" He barked.. rather letting him do the talking and she chirped on out.

She took another readily step forward, "Oh?" Then took a practice swipe at them.. assessing their skills in dodging. One at the male and one at the female..

Instead of dodging she tried to pounce the swipe but missed but was ready to strike again in a matter of minutes as she took a jumping step forward then quickly back out of reach. "You can't take us! We have thousands of us! Their coming!" And as she said that she pawed up some dirt within the ground at the lioness's face. Slowly taking a side step away from any flailing.."We hunt in packs!" Which wasn't necessarily true right now. She had hunted alone to get stronger.. and found this wilddog that seemed... like her. Ready to fight.. taking a side glance at him.

The lioness roared and took another swipe before the dirt had filtered in to her eyelids.. Which caused her to take just one step back before growling. "Oh you little!~" taking a quick steps forward and swiping her paws every which way. "When you fight~ fight. Not dirty tricks!" She reprimanded. "Thats not what hunters do! Sad excuse for one!" Swiping again at random before shaking her head off and squinting to see. Thousands of them.. these must be joking.. she didn't smell anything for miles around. Not even a pack smell!

For being a dumb lioness, she sure did move quickly. One minute she was on the hill above them, peering down with an evil glint in her eye, and the next she had leaped to corner them against the hill. Hataki narrowed his eyes and raised his hackles, a low growl emitting from deep in his throat.

While she chose not to dodge the swipe, he did, and narrowly missed the outstretched claws aimed for tearing him apart.

"You're just jealous you didn't think of it first," he taunted, rolling onto his back and then again to his feet to dodge one of her crazy swipes. He stayed low to the ground and approached her from the side. Once he was close enough, the wild dog swiped a paw at a hind leg of the lioness. He aimed for the heel, hoping to cripple her with a small slice.  

[KuroiNera]

The boy at least moved but he was taunting and made her want to just rip him apart. It felt like she was being ambushed by children! Growling as she was then underhandedly snipped. The girl was just.. sparky and annoying which made her pounce at them. Looking side to side as she got cut on her hind leg and whiped around. Growling and snarling as she pounced on what looked like the pup but the pup already had dodged the spot long before she lounged at her!

Imamu was surprised the other was still here and keeping up the fight. She smiled.. quirky smile as she then jumped on the lioness's shoulder and grabbed ahold of it via her jaw. Locking and tightening with every moment as the lioness thrashed and bashed around as she was taken by the shoulder. The pup was so small that she could shake it like a rag doll as she thrashed about!

Just then. Rustling came from not to far off.. The pace wasn't like any other as the setting paws of another was very rarely heard but covering much ground.

Hataki narrowly avoided the second lunge of the lioness; he had barely rolled back to his feet again before he realized that the other wild dog pup had grabbed onto the lioness' shoulder and was being waved about like a rag doll.

He didn't know whether to laugh or be worried, so he settled for a wide grin instead.

And that was when he heard the rustle as well, and he couldn't help but think it was more lions...somehow, she had called in reinforcements. Unless the wild dog had done the same, even though he hadn't witnessed either.  

[KuroiNera]

Waving the body around as she then slammed it in to the hill.. and thats when a snapping could be heard.. and it didn't sound good. Normally the lioness could fend off little rugrats but this was impeccable! The sounding of the snap was that of a thick stick that was the propelling wave of jump from a black blurr as it tackled the lioness's face and bite down on her face. As it tore skin off and clawed at the face..

Imamu was all conscious through the whole thing but being slammed knocked the wind out of her barely..before a light whimper came out of her. When she looked up. She saw her. Which made her want to show that she could defend herself! By that she started to dig her claws in to the lioness's body and shaking her head rapidly..

Before long after this- the lioness fell backwards to try and fling the other wilddog off. Its black body and only white skulled face was a bit haunting.. a demon for sure! Thrashing her head around to get the demon to let go. The wilddog was right! There had to be thousands then?! But she didn't even smell this wilddog for miles! Where did it come from? As she dodge rolled and threw the black blob away from her from the momentum of her head. Taking some skin with her.

While she turned and took a bite out of the other white pup and ripped it off of her. Not as strong as a hyena's bite but tough enough to hurt and take some skin while she was at it~.. Getting in to a stance ready for another attack before she gave a roar.. a prolongated roar.. that almost shook the ground.. then a snarl as to dodge away. She thought she could have some fun with them.. but that wasn't gunna happen.. Those bratty little wilddogs. Now being on the opposite side of.. snarling.. and showing her teeth with blood starting to drip down her muzzle.. a gasp between her snout and cheek and a gasp right on her shoulder.. with an added slit on her hind leg. What more could happen but she didn't want to back down.. not one bit but there was really no choice.. Fighting was taking more energy than she thought.. "I can get easier food else where.. stupid dogs..puppies non the less.." Growling. "You lucked out this time~" The black blob of a wilddog was small.. but her eyes looked piercingly and judgementally at the lioness.. Making her rethink messing with them again. The lioness stayed staring at the wilddog too.. before taking all three of them in her line of vision. Before turning away and running off.


Yes, luckily for them... Subira had come. Obviously it was the twin.. except for the skeletal wings on her back. Huffing for a moment before turning to the two wilddogs.. equally starring at both of them.. as she looked to see her sister laid on the floor and slowly getting up. Then back to the silver male.. staring.

Needless to say, there wasn't much Hataki could do to defend himself (and not the girl, never) once the black shape of another wild dog darted out to be the source of the rustling. The two girls seemed to be handling the situation just fine, even when the lioness was obviously utterly exhausted and was forced to retreat. It would take a while for her wounds to heal, anyway.

"That's right, us 'stupid puppies' drove a full-grown lioness away from a kill. You remember that next time you run into a wild dog!" he yelled after her, making sure to put in his good two cents.

Then he turned back around to the other two and was met with the unblinking gaze of the new addition to their group.
