The Spellmaster frowned as she listened to the inkling's tale. With apprentices along, the crossing hadn't been as smooth as she'd hoped, but the very fact that it was there proved that Catspaw and the two students had made it through intact. With a wave of her wand, she created a ghostling in the shape of a bird. "Tell the Loremaster that the equation is stable but a disturbance is coming up 27 hours from now. If he doesn't want to have to look for the portal, be back before then." She sent it off with another wave and it disappeared through the portal. While they were in different dimensions, it was impossible to communicate telepathically. Even if they were in the same dimension, she could only speak into the minds of others. She wouldn't bee able to know their response unless she could see it. The ink bird ducked at Weaver, who hopped off her shoulder to swat at it. Soon the two of them were playing a rowdy game of tag on the desk beside her. Clutching a mug of hot coffee, Vixeneye settled in for the long wait.

Walking wabbly for a few steps to try and gain back his balance. This portal trip was different from the last one he had taken, but he was glad that they were all in one piece. Touching his bag to make sure that it was still there and also his blades as well. At first he was very reluctent to bring them at all as he was sorta still effects by the last trip he made with his master, but he brought them anyways just incase. Along with anything that he thougth might be helpful. Resituating his cloak over his back with the two blades sticking out over each of his shoulders.
Omarr was giving Ves dirty looks at the fact that he had put a bookbag tailored to Omarr that sat in the crook of were his neck met with his body and straped around his body. Not liking it very much and was currently trying to take it off with not much luck.
"Will you stop trying to take that off Omarr!" Ves said and gave the Chimera a stirn look. "I will make something special for you when we get back if you wear that bag for the rest of the trip." he added as well. But once that had left Ves lips Omarrs face lit up and a wicked smile appeared on his face as infact that this was just a plot to get what he wanted and Ves knew he was sunk when they got back.
"So were are we heading to, Master?" he asked Catpaw as he walked over to see if Cal needed anything.

Celandine wasn't one to burst into laughter over every little thing but there was amusement showing in the boy's eyes as he looked Omarr over, the poor dragon was wearing a back pack... and it had to be the funniest thing he'd seen in a while. While he remained silent there was a soft, chuckling sound from the one resting on his shoulder. The Flute Phoenix seemed quite amused at the expense of his draconic friend.
Mel pushed up on his feet to jump off of Celandine's shoulder and made lazy circles down and around to land on the back pack, leaning over to give the dragon what looked like a playful headbutt. Omarr and Ves were among the few that he had a good relationship with other then 'his' human. It was because they had known each other for a while, it was the only reason he would share...
Celandine looked over at the Loremaster for a long moment, remaining silent while Ves spoke. He was along because they were in search of rare plants. The idea of finding a piece of rare and hard to find flora from another dimension had his heart almost skipping over itself from excitement. It was a shame had to come with someone else's Master though he understood why they were grouped like this. Someone needed to be on the other side, maintaining balance.
His eyes went to the blades on Ves's shoulders before one hand went lazily to the one at his side. It was small, it was sharp, and it was well hidden. He'd never had a reason or need for anything more to protect himself with given the other capabilities he had. He hoped that they wouldn't run into to much interference between here, the plants, and home.

"Depends. Do you see anything interesting?" Catspaw answered as vaguely as ever as he fiddled with a few sheafs of blank paper. Once the seals were completed, they would become word-maps for the area. Since time passed differently here, he liked to make new ones every time he came even though he knew the area pretty well. Actually, they were here to gather seed pods from a cluster of giant dragon-snaps, but dragon-snaps weren't the kind of plant that could uproot itself and walk away, so they had time.

A techie burst into the room in a panic, still shouting into his communicator even though she could hear him clearly from the doorway. SPELLMISTRESS! Wheatlion has gone beserk again! Quickly! People are about to die! While she wasn't so concerned that "people" were about to die, promising future handler candidates were about to die, and they were invaluable to the balance of the planet. However, if she left, there would be nobody to balance the portal and The Loremaster as well as her carefully trained apprentice might be stuck in Sisperia, forever destroying the balance. She wavered, but her apprentice's face swam into her mind's eye and she could not go. With another wave of her hand, she made a ghost sparrow to deliver the news. "Come back quickly, if you can."

Celandine turned his head toward the voice of his Mistress, starring at the ghost sparrow that spoke to them with her tone and then tilted his head to the side. Come back quickly if they could? What was... what was going on over there he found himself wondering, worried for the Spellmistress though he didn't seem to show it.
He glanced over at Loremaster, starring at him as though to wait and see what he thought of the message, "Do we head back now? Or are we to remain until we retrieve the plant samples?" He asked, while he would much rather return to Vixeneye's side currently he was to listen to the orders of Loremaster Catspaw, much to his great dislike...
Again, not that it was clearly written on his features. Celandine wasn't one that showed any sort of emotion clearly in groups, around Melody yes and around Ves from time to time, but that was about all. Blame his rocky past for his clear lacking of any sort of social aptitude. As though sensing what was unseen Mel flew down and landed on Celandine's shoulder, nudging against his cheek then gave a whistling sound as though to cheer him up. Only the Flute Phoenix seemed very apt at reading him and what he was really feeling, the kindness of Melody's was rewarded with a little scratch under the bird's chin.

"We're going back." he said with sudden seriousness. "If the Spellmistress calls, there must be something dangerous coming." He pulled out a piece of paper, spreading it over his paw. Without being asked, Quil offered her ear for him to p***k. Only chimera's blood could make the time-space maps for this place. "It's no good!" he growled. "The nearest overlap is more than a month's journey away." Time flowed differently between the two worlds and portals could only be made in places where both both places occupied the same space at the same time. The original plan tracked the movement of one place through time, keeping the connection between the two by a thread until it could be retraced and opened again once the circle had been completed. In Gaia time, 27 hours would have to pass, but in Sisperia's time, it had already been several days. "Sweetscent, how much have you learned about time-push? Snaketail, get a splint and a roll of gauze ready. We are going to 'Plus C'."

Ves was a little disipoited that they wouldn't be getting the plants, but it he knew it was important to get back to help those that would need it. Omarr looked very happy as it would mean that he would be able to get the backpack off his back which he found very undiginfined to wear.
He also was conserned Cel too as he knew Celandine didn't show emotions around him all that often and knew that they need to get back to his master as soon as possable as he knew to some what to how Celandine was feeling right now. Omarr butted Ves's legs to bring him back to the pressent as there master was giveing them some orders.
"I can do that master," he replied with a nod as he took off his own pack to take out the needed stuff form it but also makeing sure to have other things ready just incase they were needed as well and waited.

They were going back, good... he was quite relieved not that one could guess it from the steady look on his face. In fact he didn't really look as though he cared one way or the other but Mel could tell from the ever so slight shift in his pulse. The Flute Phoenix gave a soft whistled then turned to look over at Omarr and gave the dragon a chirp.
"Time push." He murmured, considering his answer then finally gave a nod as though answering a thought he'd had, "I have learned a bit about it." He told the Loremaster, it wasn't among one of the three best classes of magic that he was best at and using the Time Push was exhausting at best but if it meant getting back to Vixeneye if she needed him... Well if that were the case he would push himself no matter how hard he had to push. She was one of very, very few he would risk his health for given what she was to him and his loyalty to her.

"As you know, time-push shifts forwards or backwards along the movement function. "Plus C" uses a constant to move the entire function." He drew a circle on the ground with a silver knife as he spoke, then marked a spot on the time-space chart. "I need you to move this here. Since we are here, it will line us up with this spot, where the Spellmistress is. From there, we will be able to go through the portal. " The Loremaster's voice was deliberately calm and even, but his heart thundered with dread. Plus C, required a huge amount of energy. He and Vixeneye had only done it once before and both times, even she was unable to pay the cost alone. He wiped the blade clean on his cloak and looked into his own reflection. "Do you understand?"

He looked at the chart for a long moment, it was... a bit of a distance, wasn't it? He didn't show his worry over moving from point a to point b though, he merely nodded his head, "Alright." He agreed, glancing over at Ves for a long moment. He was glad that Snaketail was here at the moment, were something to go wrong at least they had a doctor on hand he thought to himself idly... if and when he collapsed at the end of this spell he would hope that the guy would know what to do.
He took in a deep breath, drawing in a lungful of air but also started to gather needed energy to him, "Alright Melody, I will need your help." He murmured, wanting the Flute Phoenix to be there for him for moral support as well as steadying him while he did this, "Loremaster, Snaketail, if you will hold onto me." He wasn't a fan of physical touch in the least but it would make it easier to move them all if they were in contact then if he were to try to do so with them just standing nearby to one another.
He could do this he told himself, he could do this, he would get them back to the Spellmistress so they could deal with whatever danger was threatening her he told himself.

Omarr gave Melody a little growl back as he wrapped his tail around his boys leg as the magic was going to be worked, but made sure to not hinder Ves.
Ves has sorta learned to tell Cel's moods but knew sometimes to watch Melody for Celandin's moods and to the fact that he knew that he didn't like touching others as he reached a hand out to touch his friend. But also had keep all his medical supplies near by as he knew they would be needed.

Placing a hand lightly on Sweetscent's shoulder, the Loremaster took a deep breath. "Start the incantation on the count of three please. 1...2...3!" Without giving himself time to flinch, Catspaw drew the knife hard against the base of his arm, opening a critical artery. His life was tied to his chimera's and both gushed out of the wound along with his blood, providing the energy needed to balance the spell. Three minutes before he passed out. Six minutes before he bled out completely. He would have to rely on the two apprentices from here.

The rush of energy feeding into him from the Loremaster's sacrifice was... almost painful but it helped, he drew it all in along with his own energy which was shared with Melody, and that which he could draw forth from the air. As it wasn't one of his three best schools which he could call up and cast easily, without ritual or chanting, he had to fall back on both of those things. The ritual written in the blood of the Loremaster and he started to chant, not in a normal language but in a magic tongue and started to summon the Time Push. It wasn't something he'd really done on anything near this scale but he wasn't about to pause, wouldn't hesitate as it meant risking the group.
His eyes flickered, starting to glow as he lifted his hands a pushed them both forward as though trying to push aside some great weight which in a way he was... at first there was nothing, as though the spell might not have worked... and then Melody was giving a loud, somewhat high pitched, whistling sound as they suddenly moved from where they had been to the point that Catspaw had indicated they must reach. He looked around, eyes wide, "Woah... I..." He'd done it and at the moment he was so surprised that it even showed a bit in his eyes as he looked around the area that they had made it to.
"Did you see that Snaketail?" He murmured, he was quite proud of himself and he felt... fine. An illusion as he took a step forward and broke the tenuous balance of magic that was flickering around his body in what amounted to an invisible shield as delicate as a strand of spider silk. As he took a step forward there was a trickle of blood from his nose, he staggered, and then his body seemed to go jelly like as he collapsed. As he fell his eyes went wide, shock and a touch of fear showing in them and he reached a hand out to try to catch hold of Ves to keep from hitting the ground.
As he fell Melody did as well, seemingly as drained as Celandine was. The pair were utterly spend, every ounce of their energy and then some had been drained... it was frustrating for SweetScent as they wanted to get back SpellMistress VixenEye, not laze about in such a manner.
