Been playing the game for a while but really cant really get grips on hacking is there some sort of method or just plain guessing please help.

Either sending packets, compliucated or changing values using T-search or cheat engine, or using the console

Ok I got this cool When you are going to hack a bunch of letters and symbols appear.. The symbols don't work so they are just there to give you a hard time.. you have to click one, any one really, and you get a small hint on the lower right corner of the screen saying how many letters are right...so you basically have to think a lot and try to find out which letters are the correct ones.. Look for one that has some same letters and looks like it could be it, but if you have one chance left to not get locked out then turn it off and go back to trying to hack.. The puzzle will be reset, but you will have all four chances to break it.

XDD I normally guess when I hack ahaha,I try every word and then if I have one guess left I get off the terminal and the get back on.

To put the video in to text:
Essentially, let's say you need to get a 4 letter password (Not even sure if very easy computers have 4 letters, but stay with me here.) to get this done with. If you look at the list you'll find similar words. for the sake of this example, let's say that the words on the list are:
Cans
Bear
Cart
Oval
Crag
Cars
Sane
Blue
Now, look closely at the list. Any of them similar? I'll bold them out for ya.
Cans
Bear
Cart
Oval
Crag
Cars
Sane
Blue
Ok, now we got a list of very likely suspects. It's time to pick one at random.
Cans [3/4 correct]
Ok, so that had 3 letters correct and placed correctly. Look at the other 2 words that are similar to that one, and repeat the spelling of C-A-N-S to yourself. Now let's see which one of those words 2 of the letters line up with. (technically you have 4 guesses and so with this scenario it wouldn't hurt at all to just try those out, but normally you have at least 5 possibilities. I am just too lazy to make a more realistic situation. Let's say you only have 2 guesses on this puzzle.)
So, you can do this in your head, but for larger words using paper is easily. Pretty much, just spell each one out individually, knowing that CANS has 3 out of 4 letters correct.
C-A-N-S
C-A-R-T
C-A-R-S
Now check it out. Check out how many letters the other options have in common with the word CANS. I'll bold it out again.
C-A-N-S
C-A-R-T
C-A-R-S
Now, you know that the one you're looking for has 3 letters in common with CANS. CART only has two letters in common, so that leaves you with your password.
CARS
Make sense?

well the lantern in megaton has the easiest password of all its "BROKE" and you will have the safe opend and get the caps ninja
of course youll get twisted KARMA lol
