CornerianXXSpecialXXForcesXXTraining

An OC Starfox fanfiction role-play.

XXXXXThe area we call the Lylat system contains hundreds of planets orbiting a large handful of stars. These planets have widely varying biomes. Terran planets, desert planets, frozen planets, asteroid belts, gas giants, the list is nearly endless. And of these planets, only a few have been explored and charted by the Cornerian Republic. The Cornerian Fleet was designed to protect this system from alien threats. But in recent years, the threats have proven to be too much for the fleet's mightiest armadas to handle. Time and time again, the Cornerian government has been forced to rely on vigilante groups to solve their problems. Star Fox has clearly been the most successful.

XXXXXIt took too long for Cornerian generals to discover the formula for success. A small, well-trained team of exceptional students constantly and completely manages to best entire battalions of average militants. So, a new academy has opened on Corneria. The Academy finds elite students and offers them a full scholarship to attend specialized classes designed to make these students the absolute best that they can be. These students will someday become the Cornerian Special Forces, or the CSF. But for now, they're merely in training.

XXXXXWelcome to Cornerian Special Forces Training. Don't expect it to be simple.

Rules
F-3

I don't want to have to post too many rules. For the most part, if you play intelligently, I'll have no issues.

1.) Follow Gaia TOS.
2.) Don't godmode. Godmoding takes a great many forms, but I should hope you're smart enough not to do any of them.
3.) Read the Story Review post often! I'm going to summarize everything that's happened, so it's really an invaluable tool.

XXXXXReally, just be smart. I trust you guys.

Corneria
F-12

Corneria is a beautiful planet, more than ninety percent covered in water. Sprawling cities cover what little land there is on the planet, and those cities expand over the water as well, such that the entire planet looks like a single, ever-expanding city built over and around pools of water. The planet has a distinctly technological look to it, but not one without aesthetics. Fountains and monuments work their way seamlessly into the crowded pedestrian sidewalks, occasionally lined with grass, flowers, and trees imported from other worlds.

Above these paths are where the automobiles roam. They hover nearly twenty feet in the air. They don't really fly, but rather they glide along tracks that lead throughout the city. These 'tracks' are two thin poles about twenty feet apart that emit a sheet of purplish light between them. This light is a powerful electromagnetic force that guides the cars through the air and to their destinations.

Skyscrapers are the norm on Corneria. Buildings with less than five stories are almost entirely unheard of. By building straight upward like this, the Cornerians are able to keep wide spaces between their buildings, giving the entire planet an open, clean look, despite its heavy population. The crime rate on Corneria is almost the lowest in the Lylat System, and the people are generally friendly and cooperative. There are only a couple of slummish areas, and even they compare favorably to the luxurious portions of other planets.

The people of Corneria are greatly varied; travelers from across the system make it their home. Daily life for a Cornerian generally consists of nine hours of sleep, nine hours of work, and twelve hours of play. Corneria has a thirty-hour orbit. Work on Corneria is usually very mechanically-oriented, since Corneria's main exports are ships, games, and electronic luxury items. There is no farmland on Corneria, and almost all food is imported from nearby worlds with more landmass.

Entertainment for the average Cornerian is as varied as the people themselves. From music clubs to libraries to restaurants to swimming pools, any Cornerian can find something to keep themselves entertained. Education on Corneria is the best in the System. Many off-world parents ship their children to Cornerian boarding schools to give them a chance at a good education.

The Academy

The Academy is a Federation institute established specifically for the training of CSF. The entire facility is located in one building. The building is over twelve stories high, and is surrounded by civilian district. Parks, libraries, and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The building itself has a great deal of security. In fact, the entire first floor is almost entirely composed of security gates and identity verification. The process of entering the building can take nearly five minutes.

The inside of the building is sanitary and plain. Decorations are few and far between, and the walls are almost all plain white or metallic gray.
