'Twas early morning, not a soul wake in Soup's herd, except for keii that is, both Akuba and Keii were always up early, but Keii wanted to get out early to avoid attention, and for peace and quiet. She turned to Linnie who was younger than her,"I'll return to you later little Linnie, to teach you the things you wanted to know." She strode past her herd looking down at Aku and Niele smiling and continuing on, as soon as she got away from them , quickly she drank and hurried away for a short distance, to avoid Brian's games of tag, he was so much older yet he was much like a foal, laughing at the thought of brian she slowed down, he was like a brother to her.
Soon Keii arrived at the clearing, pretty much alone, she closed her eyes imagining what she had just walked away from, it was now time when they would wake, maybe she's gone too far? She ignored her thoughts, listened to the silences and grazed, not noticing her surroundings.

He had stayed longer than usual, keeping his mother company within the herds grounds. Eden was beautiful, anyone would be completely idiotic to not understand a potential to settle down safely with a family there; it was high almost high enough to reach into the heavens, and preserved by the large dip created by what they thought were stars that had become lost on their journeys through the outer regions of the current world.
His mother had taught him more about the world they lived in and about the world their family originated from, it was like as he became older they were putting more faith into his abilities. Happily, he listened and took all what they said in.
The base of the mountain drew close with every calm step, the air became stuffier, and filled more of his lungs when he breathed in; there was certainly a difference from the base and the peak. Thoughts continued to swirl in his mind as he continued along the narrow path and soon he was treading along grassy terrain instead of the rough rocky flooring. He snorted, letting the blond stands of his mane float along with the tender breeze.
There she was.
Alex paused mid-step, slowly dropping a golden hoof to the floor to complete the appeal of a soldier. He rose his head high into the air, noble and strong his gaze stayed connected to the tainted ivory figure ahead. It was slender and gentle not an inch of muscly exterior to it. It was obviously a mare, a young one at that.
He looked either way and when there was no one in sight he neared the female pressence, pausing moments away from her current stance.
"Hello, fair lady. What brings you out into the clearing this fine morning..? Alone at that." He spoke to her in a gentle tone, no alarm in his voice but only concern for her own benefit, he didn't want any harm to come to those who didn't deserve it.

Alaxander's gentle voice attracted the attention of her ears, she stopped grazing and her head followed, looking at a porcelain white coloured male, she smiled at him quickly assessing whether to run or embrace the kind gesture of conversation. She decided to accept. "Good Morrow kind sir, my name is Keii. My excuse for coming out here is really for the quiet and to get away before one of my herdmen ask to play another game of tag with me again. He's so foalish at times, but that's why I like him,"Keii sighed, her eyes dithering on his appearance, not surprising she had met quite a few angeni, until her eyes rested on his eyes, she had not yet seen any quite like them.
She kept herself relaxed, he seemed well mannered and so far the impression was good, she hated to ask questions, but she did so anyway,"So what brings you out here sir?" She kept her voice soft and quiet but not too quiet she hatted having to repeat her speech, this made her talk louder but more sarcastic, there was no need for her to be rude to the kind stranger, so she kept her politeness high, without effort, her whole life had been about manners.

Alex watched over the female as she turned a gaze to his deep sapphires, he kept his head high but his posture was kept relaxed, casual; he didn't really make much of an effort to appeal like a knight, it was natural these days. He gave a soft laugh.
"Sounds like my sisters, they're always foaling around too. Don't worry, I wasn't being suspicious" he smiled respectfully to her, watching the trimmed grass sway where she had been grazing. He hadn't meant to interrupt her, but he preferred to see if people were alright before carelessly passing by.
She had an odd short tail, not feathered long after where the bone ended, and her ears where chunkier than the usual species of soquili. Was she one that he hadn't encountered yet? This could be quite a helpful meeting after all.
At the questioning of his company, he lowered his head, closing his eyes within the bow before lifting it back into her graceful gaze. Like a true loyal soldier, he told the truth.
"I was just coming down from my own herdlands. It had been a while since I last saw my family... I actually came across your path to see if you were doing alright. I wouldn't want an innocent soul being harmed in any way." he stood in silence for a moment, pondering on how to word his question, but then he decided to let his stubborn tongue loosen. "out of curiosity, what would you call your kind? I wouldn't say your features are familiar..""

Keii's eyes brightened her expression emphasized but her turquoise pools of water that she called eyes. She was happy he asked instead of staring,"Yes, not yet are they familiar to most soquili. My kind are the Cerynei. We are deer like, smaller than usual soquili, but only by a bit, really we are made for running, really from what I don't know, I don't think the Ceynei have any predators but the deer sure do. Centeries ago, we grazed here till we moved to our own lands, unfortunately a month or so before I was born it burnt down, slowly were all migrating over here, but me, I've only ever known these lands, being the only cerynei fawn at the time it was a bit lonely too,"keii bounced back from the depressing route she was talking into," Heh, to male Cernei have deer horns and short tails like I. Some describe them as bunny tails, mostly foals." Keii waggled her short tail, and moved her big ears. "We are similar to deer let's just say that, you features are quite familiar to me", she nodded,"what is you name? If I may have the privilege to ask of course sir?"

Alex nodded, listening intently to her indetailed explanation about these new creatures - The cerynei. They were beautiful, built with the posture of a damsel, agile and thin especially perfect for fleeing. In an instant it was easy to tell that they were peaceful creatures. Her personality and visually open nature was a perfect example.
"Ah I see. Your kind are very unique, its a surprise really... It makes sense to why I have never heard of the cerynei before if you have only recently imigrated back to these lands." He watched her eyes, seeing the sadness spread, then her sudden turn in emotion glittered consideration for the conversation. Delighted at her thoughtful attitude, he walked forward and ruffled the bangs of her mane with a gentle chuckle, before taking a step back.
"My name is Alex" he winked, shaking his large boff lion like mane so it fell smoothly back into place, the dark ribbon strands hanging by it. "and what would yours be?"
Although he was interested in learning more about her kind and about the lands that had burnt down. Maybe she would explain further in time? He tilted his head, knowing that it was a touchy topic and he wasn't going to pry about it.

Never had she met such an angeni, so warm and easy to get on with. Other's seemed quite arrogant and ill mannered, sometimes just as bad as kalona.
She giggled lightly,"Were are unique as a flutter is to a butterfly." She believed that the cerynei may have seemed unique to those who hadn't seen their kind before, even as a foal some had mistaken her for an odd deer. When his ruffled her hair she puffed out. "I hardly have any mane to ruffle." She looked at Alexander's hair longing for lovely locks such as his, but quickly she changed her mind, she could never imagine the sensation of having such lengthy hair.
Keii nodded gratefully,"My name is keii", she left the rest of her name unsaid, really it wasn't important, her friends and family called her by keii anyway, nothing longer, usually nothing shorter. When Alex shook him mane, keii regarded him once more and his black ribbons caught her eye. I wonder if the patterns have a significant meaning to them.
Alex seemed to be in a light spot of thought, he obviously thought about things more deeply than she did,"any thing else you'd like to enquire about? I'd enjoy the company." Many angeni have I seen, but this guy. He is like that of fairy tales I was told as a fawn.

"Then you are very unique" he answered, quite proudly.
A flutter was unique, or more advanced to a butterfly. As a butterfly was pretty, they had no comparison to the grace and elegance of those who were broader, had four legs, a long visible muzzle and had the ability to change size, although he did understand what she meant. He felt she should have more confidence in herself and about her kind but maybe that was the instinctive feeling the Cerynei kind had? They were modest.
He bowed his head respectively when she introduced herself. "Its nice to meet you keii. Does your name hold any specific meaning?" he wondered, it was possible sometimes different species had their own culture. He was soo interested in learning it really was unbelievable.. Was he being.. Maybe a tad rude? He raised an eyebrow, a little at himself and then narrowed it back to a casual expression that normally never changed.
"Sure, I'd love to keep you company" he added, with a friendly smile walking a short distance to stand by her side politely. It was good gesture when accompanying someone.

((gotta be the biggest entry I've doe on 'one on one' rp ever...)
Keii nodded gracefully at his bow,"In fact it does, it means 'honorable mare', I didn't choose my name, it was given to me, by my mother or who ever looked after me before my cousin and his mate, the name was attached to the basket on a tag, my cousin and his mate changed it from keii meshika to keii himba, meshika means doe, but they didn't realize I was a cerynei fawn until I came out of my basket, then it just stuck. So my name is quite ridiculous, but you may call me a mare, you may call me a doe, any is fine for me." She loved to tell her stories and share information about her kind, so those could learn about her kind an not be afraid. "I think- that- my family may have burned in those fires, really I hope they didn't and I hope to find them, one day. I'm just glad I had my cousin to look after me. He won't tell me about before I was born or how he got me, also I am glad for my exceptional sense of hearing, smell and speed, and climbing rocks and mountains is no problem at all" Her face straightened out into a neutral dreamy look her clear eyes clouded for a second or two.
Suddenly once again she quickly changed the subject,"Oh thank you Mr.Alex, the company is received graciously", she smiled one again when he stood beside her,"I really have talked way to much about myself, really I think of it, rude and boring and yet I don't know much about this kind stranger beside me." She was referring to Alex. Oh god, I really shouldn't be doing this, he's so nice, I really don't want to be asking too many questions. He cheeks started to burn,"oh, I'm s-sorry Alex, I shouldn't be asking so many questions", her tears gathered themselves ready to roll down her cheeks, she tried not to blink, surley they'd go away if she didn't...slowly. He voice quivered,"It's just...",she sighed. What are you doing? Shut up you ugly wretch. Keii pulled herself together, her tears disappeared and her cheeks remained un-tearstained,"I'm sorry, I hope I haven't made you think badly of me. Why does such an angelic creature want to talk to me? I'm such a plane jane, there is nothing to me and no spark." Keii began to doubt herself, sniffled and moved closer to him. She looked at him to see his reaction, she gave him a look letting him see right through her very sincerely, her eyes were like the crystals of a fortuneteller's ball, every thing she felt, and then she just shut it off, and straightened out, and laughed,"God, I'm so depressing. I'm sorry to seem really rude, I don't usually get such an opportunity to meet someone as amazing as yourself." She went to ruffle his hair but decided not to, it might make a good impression, he might like to keep his hair nice, and she wouldn't want to ruin his 'do'. Her heart began to thud, she knew she had made a terrible mistake and played herself as a fool. DONK DONK DONK. She took a deep breath. Damn it, I've really done it now. A lovely guy has just strolled into my life, what do I do, break down?!!!! I must have done it now, I have no chance of an outside herd friendship with anyone. He is that 'knight in shining armor' every girl talks and dreams of. She swallowed hard. Keii's accent was almost the same as her cousin's, and by everyone it could be defined easily in one word, english, it was not posh, but it was not that of the cocknies or liverpudlians, it was a cheshire like accent, soft, a nice mixture, it was a treat for the ears of those who herd it. A change to what they were used to, Alex had not noticed it? "Would you mind showing me round those mountains up there, maybe show me a route I'm not likely to get lost on?" She pouted and blinked her long lashes flirty but unknowing of her flintiness.

When he had chosen to accompany the little lone doe, he definitely hadn't expected to learn as much as he had done. It had helped with how Keii continued to ramble and how she had managed to get herself worked up over Alex's silent nature. He shuffled his shoulders and couldn't help but gather an increasingly amused laugh.
"Well you certainly have a lot to say little Doe. Thank you with sharing all that with me" He grinned, nodding sincerely in understanding. He always loved to listen to tales even if he wasn't one to share alot of information unless asked. Certainly, she definitely wasn't depressing and as stated before, she was Unique.
"You know with that attitude Its wonder you was alone out here, I think many stallions would kill to have such a bubbly, upbeat gal' but what can I say." eyebrow raised, he looked to the sky. How true, the women he had bumped into... Hadn't had the most graceful introduction. Well, not when you had two wittery voices behind you telling them your whole life story.
He sighed a little, then eyed her from the side whilst accompanying her on this little hike she had requested. He didn't mind, maybe he'd show her his own herdlands if believing it was a good idea. "Your welcome" He managed, through all of her speech eying out a good route to take.
"How about we take a short route, it'll be safer. That way, you won't have to watch where you step as much" how that had been a pain in the past as a reckless foal, running in the danger zones.. Ok he had been responsible even back then but sometimes he let it slide. Only sometimes..

Keii's usual shyness turned itself on, it'd had been hiding, and now he had triggered it. She knew she wasn't as pretty as most other females but she always hoped her personality would make up for it,"r-really?" She murmured quietly. She gave a shy laugh,"me and my mouth",she sighed. Keii walked along side Alex with great gracefulness. She hoped her unfamiliar features wouldn't scare him or 'freak' him out too much.
When Alex suggested an short cut, she smiled, but because it had less of a rocky road, she almost burst out into a laughing, but that would have been very rude,"A short cut sounds good, but to me it makes no difference, whether it be a rocky road or a smooth and flat pathway." She looked down at her two toed hooves,"It could be for your benefit, if you were to walk, but you can fly. If you flew away now I'd be very sad."
She nodded grateful of his suggestion,"but.. if we take the short cut, i'm less likely to get lost, like i usually do." She nudged him and flicked her tail, his wings were the soft, and well looked after, as she pressed against him for the short nudge, she felt a nice warmth coming from him,"apparently I'm from some kind of winter land or mountains. Are you as good in cold weather as I am?,"she gave a faint shy smile again and grew silent, but only for a little while before she spoke once more," Do you",keii hesitated,"know that mountains well?"
Keii continued waking over joyed with the company, she was a little doe with a big heart and endless kindness. Her ears followed Alex's voice, sound amplified by them greatly, it was nice to hear a new voice. She wanted to know more, she had felt she had talked enough.

"Aye, having some playful qualities always helps" it would help with relationship issues if she ever ran into them. Alex flicked his ears forward, true he had listened to what their kind was capable of, but he was taking more note of 'easy way to get back, as well as accomplish the journey' He'd lived on the mountain and traveled around it for many months as a foal, he knew the one he lived on well and wouldn't have dared taken her somewhere unknown, unsafe.
Alex looked around quickly as she slid into his side and smirked, looking over her features. 'what was that all about..?' "Heey. Now, that's not very lady like, is it?" He teased, Letting his wings spread out, beating gently against the air slowly to cool the long delicate feathers. He gently nudged her back, flicking her body aside with one of the four elegant wings. Then sneakily, he turned his head filtering out an innocent sounding whistle and before she even had a chance to accuse him, he gave a light chuckle. "III didn't do it. Honestly~"
It was only when she mentioned her homelands were alike the surrounding mountains, but the mention of that cold, chilly season brought back long past memories of breaking free of that dark, hard shell. He'd grown and become comfortable, then he'd been revealed helpless to the world welcomed by two gentle eyes at first he;d been scared... Then they spoke with familiarity.
"You could say that" He simply uttered, watching the mountains still frame.

Keii didn't answer to that, all she could think about are the faces of them who feared her appearance. But she open her mouth, but no words came out.
"I'm sorry she blinked. honestly, so sexist, not all mare have a set way of behaving, there are some who are elegant, some are psychos and others...lonely." Keii was pushed a side by one of his wings, it made her jump, slightly startled and unexpecting. She laughed, with her black lined eyes looking at his expression. Happiness. She stepped on a rock, it was slipper than she expected for a second or two she lost her balance, only to quick regain it again, but just laughed it off quietly. The air from the beating of his wings brushed past her white and lilac pelt. 'Someone outside my herd...acctually enjoys my company. He hasn't ran away.'
'so he does wow, niiice. I have so much to ask.' Keii looked at her stripes where there were no wings, then looked at his saying,"Wings of a bird molt every so often, feathers in pairs one by one, by any chance do yours do the same?" She was just as inquisitive, or maybe...nosey.
Finding a new friends was a nice experiance, but would this be, an encounter to remember, would he still remember her?

So he definitely hadn't expected to be called sexist, but maybe he was a little sexist... That would be because of his fathers views, guessed they had brushed off on him afterall. "Ha, your right. You just named my mother and my two sisters all in one" He laughed a little, looking at her. Ok so... His mum was extremely Elegant; Neria wasn't so much psycho but she was eccentric and Tere... He'd never actually seen Tere 'happy' just a shell, put on for her family.
It was because he was looking at her and allowed his wings some cool air that when she slipped he had flung out his wing, deliberately stroking the front of her neck, holding it securely there until she managed to keep on balance. His expression showed concern but in his features you could still tell how relaxed and casual he actually was.
'clumsy' he had smirked, once she regained her balance. It was quite fun keeping this one company, he'd never met someone so.. Different to regular breeds that appeared around these lands often enough. Maybe it was just the cerynei, they set a good image.
"Hmm?" Alex wondered what she meant, it was a good question though and he rolled his eyes thoughtfully, calculating a not-so-effort-filled answer to give her as they approached a cavern filled with sharp, rugged rocks.
Pff and this was the shortcut?
"I don't think they do.. I've never noticed a loss in feathers or maybe I just haven't payed that much attention to them." He paused, looking over to her thick, dark outlined eyes, letting his gaze fixate for a minute. "I don't fly that often.. So you don't have to worry about me heading off any time soon" his reply had been delayed, but, he never let anything go ignorantly disregarded.

Keii was grateful for him catching her, 'wow, how strong are those wings, and he just uses them like that?!' She was scared of touching his wings, incase they were delicate or special to him, but he used them as if they were extra arms.
"Why the sly look? I it because I tripped?" Keii in a jokey way, and her tail stuck up now, she concentrated a little more on where she stepped.
"It's hard to not notice your flight feathers missing, your coverts are a little bit less noticeable, apart from the spikes and spines where new feathers grow, so the mustn't...fascinating",when he looked into her eyes she tried not to melt, her water like eyes were the colour of the sea on a sunny beach in the Caribbean, she quickly looked away and met his gaze again, they pierced through him and into is sapphires. Her eyes always emphasized her facial expression, so she was always careful in the way she expressed things, but with him she didn't hold back much.
She hadn't notice the 'short cut' until she broke the gaze,'oh my",she thought the short cut would be more mare friendly,"it certainly does look dark. What if we...y'know...bump into an unexpected passerby?" 'I wonder...what will happen..come on, be brave, your not scared of the dark, and going into dark places with strangers isn't the best of your ideas. But he seems believable...right? Yes, I shall trust him.'
