The striped lioness sighed and stretched, kneading the ground with her front claws. It was early morning, and the grass - and Ivilis - had a fresh coating of dew. Once her stretch was finished, she shook off some of the damp and looked out over the landscape. She wasn't quite hungry yet, so for now she had nothing to do. Maybe she'd go for a walk?
It was probably a little too early to go visiting, but it was a pretty morning, so there was no sense in going back to sleep and wasting it.

Life had taken a rather uninteresting turn for Manuku. While rather stressful, he had quite enjoyed the chaos of his six extra siblings arrival- but they dispersed, returning to their home or.. wandering off on their own. His own full siblings had started to become more independent, which was great, but he enjoyed life at home, life with everybody around way too much. Manny wasn't going anywhere fast, though with news of his siblings finding love and having families, it was on his mind. His parents didn't seem to be producing anymore cubs to create more interesting things to do very fast.
Feeling energetic and already having annoyed and failed to revive any sleepy family members, Manny had no choice but to wander away. At first he walked aimlessly but soon he decided to head around the areas with the highest daily traffic in hopes of finding someone to chat with. It'd be quite boring to spend the morning alone.

Ivilis was still getting used to running into strangers on a regular - even daily - basis. She found ti to be quite a pleasant change, however, especially with the wide variety to be found here. There were all sorts of personalities, and every color under the sun. As such, it wasn't surprising to find herself on a path towards someone who was an odd sort of combination of colors...neutral browns and a very rich blue.
Having no reason to avoid an encounter, she continued to stroll along her current path until she was near enough to speak without really raising her voice.
"Good morning," she offered pleasantly.

Despite Manny's interest in finding something to do or someone to chat with, he didn't notice Ivilis at first as he stared off in the wrong direction. When he did look ahead of him, she was hard to miss, especially since she continued walking toward him. It was hopeful. Not that it had ever been really hard to find someone in a pride this size.
"Good morning," he returned, stopping where he was to indicate his desire to chat, "Never a quieter time around here, it seems." He looked around, not seeing anybody else around. Considering he'd purposefully gone where he would find others, it was pretty quiet.

"So it would seem," 'Lis agreed. Since he seemed as inclined as she did to chat, she settled herself comfortably into a sit. "It's a lovely morning, though. It's a pity there aren't more awake to see it." Although, she supposed, if they lived here, they were probably used to it.
"I'm Ivilis, by the way."

Manny couldn't help but take a moment to appreciate what the lioness before him looked like. Part of him was too superficial not to take special notice. He was used to blue, but she was so much paler than anybody in his family. It was unique, it was nice. He did his best not to make his look too obvious, he did have manners after all.
"It's their loss," he said, thinking of the family members he'd tried to wake but deciding quickly it wasn't so bad, this was hopeful, "I'm Manuku, it's nice to meet you Ivilis."

"True enough," she said, with a touch of a giggle. She did notice that she was being looked at, but it didn't bother her in the least...it was perfectly normal to have a look at a stranger, after all. And, well, she did know she was pretty.
So 'Lis smiled for him, pleasantly and prettily. "It's nice to meet you, too. It seems I'm meeting someone new almost every day, here."

"Yeah, it's a busy place," he said agreeably, glancing around, "Most of the time anyway." He chuckled, looking back at Ivilis with a smile. The he thought about what she said, it was almost like she wasn't always here.
"Are you not from around here?" he asked curiously.

Ivilis answered with a gentle shake of her head. "No, I'm from...somewhere farther south." That was just enough information about that to make it a suitable reply, she decided. "I came here looking for a friend and decided to stay."
