Electric Field
The field is completely flat; no bumps or hills can be located. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field on each side are six electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These create a static discharge across the field and in the air itself for one reason: a metal piping that outlines the edges of the field floats several feet above the towers themselves, held up by the discharge. During the battle, the piping can release lightning at random points on the field due to the amount of buildup them possess. This ensures that your pokemon stay moving during throughout the entire battle.This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

((Incase you don't know, you write an "intro" post and roll a 6 sided dice to see who goes first (highest number wins). No attacking yet))
Since his trainer had given him a free day, Helium decided to partake in his favorite sport: haunting the gym arena. But today was one of the days he particularly enjoyed. Days when his trainer would send in random people to challenge him with his own teammates. Those days were always quite interesting since he could determine his own ranking within his trainer's group even though it was a different trainer handling the pokemon.
The gastly chuckled to himself, waiting for his challenger to appear while carelessly floating between the bars of the railing in the trainer box.

Albireo bounced cheerfully onto the field, already having been told what he was he was supposed to do. Fighting Helium couldn't be too hard, and he had been promised a big treat by the guy whom his trainer had lent him to. That was all the incentive he needed!
He stopped a few yards in and looked around. He didn't see Helium anywhere, so he just decided to roll around a bit, get himself loose for the battle... or something.

When both entrants had entered the arena, the towers of electricity whirled to life. Helium, having never seen them before, tilted his head curiously at the strange metal objects.
BZZZZZ
A tendril of electricity shot out at the gastly but helium nimbly dodged it with ease. Albireo, a bulkier and slower pokemon on the other hand, didn't seem to be too fond of the electric currents flying around at random. How interesting.
A large grin practically split Helium's face as the gastly opened his mouth to release his own ball of electricity at the dewgong.

((Note that you can use ANY move dewgong/seel can possibly learn. TMs, HMs, egg moves, everything.
Also, this is a thunderbolt attack. It does 100 damage + 50 for super effective + 25 for field bonus
BUT SINCE IT'S A CRITICAL HIT
Now it's (100 base damage + 50 super effective)x2 for crit + 25 for field. Only the base damage and supereffective damage are multiplied during critical hits.
So total, you take 325 damage. Ouch.))

Albireo did NOT like this place! Not only was there electricity jumping around everywhere, but it was also jumping out of Helium's mouth!
He was sent tumbling by the effect of the Thunderbolt, which felt much stronger than it should have. He shook himself before turning towards Helium and firing off the best thing he had, a beam of pure ice.

Helium knew that shiny cold beams coming from his opponent were probably not good things so wisely choose to float out of the way. Unfortunately, some of his gas got hit by the attack and was frozen solid into the ground but no substantial damage was done.
Bug Helium LIKED his gas. The Dewgong was definitely going to get it now. Helium inhaled sharply and quickly spit out another ball of thunder at the Dewgong.

((Oh by the gods. I literally laughed out loud! ANOTHER 325 damage. You are such a cheater!))
Again with the evil electricity! Helium was being very mean, and Albireo was being treated like a ragdoll! He was sent flying by the massive shock again and managed to get himself upright.
He put on his meanest face (which constituted sticking his tongue out and throwing his horn around a bit) and dashed towards Helium, hoping to get in a good honest Lick!

TIME TO SHOW YOU ANOTHER ASPECT OF THE BATTLE SYSTEM WHILE TRYING NOT TO BRUTALLY CRUSH YOU ON ACCIDENT gonk ))
Helium floated backwards away from Albireo's large tongue but miscalculated and failed to completely miss the attack. He felt his body unconsciously shiver from the attack even though mentally, he was not affected too much.
But the two were in quite a close distance right now, something Helium did not feel extra confident about. He was the type that enjoyed lurked a considerable distance away in the shadows while waiting for the perfect opportunity to attack. He would have to create some distance.
"Gaaaassss!" The gasball pokemon declared, his eyes glowing as a strong gust of purple wind flowed towards Albireo's direction to push the dewgong away.

(Ominious wind attack stat boost, +50 defense)
(Ominious wind is actually an offensive attack, but it has the side effect of raising every stat. I'm taking advantage of this side effect and using it to raise my defense. Note that you can only either choose to actually attack and do damage or only do the side effect of the attack, not both.
Stat boosting attacks require no dice roll)

Albireo pushed through the strong wind, trying to use his tongue again and get in another shot. Apparently Helium didn't like being licked, and he felt it was good revenge for all of the electricity thrown at him!

"Why you filthy piece of lard, how dare you keep licking me wit that vile tongue of yours?" Helium growled out to his teammate, electricity cackling around the ghost pokemon. The ghost pokemon had no qualms about licking people, but he certainly did not liked getting licked himself.
"BURN INTO FINELY ROASTED MEAT, THEN MAYBE YOU'LL EAT YOURSELF!"
Electricity shot out in all directions from the angry gastly and the tendrils of high voltage electricity reached towards Albireo.

The thunderbolt hit him yet again as he tried to run away from Helium's onslaught. He turned to Helium, stuck out his tongue, and barked madly.
Albireo let loose another beam, this time shooting it high into the air. The beam let out a high pitched whine that could be heard for miles around.

The last statement by his teammate made donut pause for a minute and break out in peels of laughter, rolling his gaseous body around in the air. Of course, this wasn't the smartest thing to do when an attack was coming straight at him.
Helium took the signal beam hit and suddenly felt greatly disoriented. His floating became sporadic.
"Heeeeeey, why are there tw-no three now! Why are there three of you fat lumps of self cannibalistic meat?" Helium groaned, trying to shake the confusion out of his head but failing. "Well, you're ALL going to be toast anyways!" He declared, shooting another dose of thunderbolt at them.
