Ok..I have a lot of problems that I need help with! 1.I have a VERY bad habit of cussing..I need help to stop.(These words I shouldn't even know!I'm only 13!) 2.I have a good freind who's to much into witch craft. She says she belives in God and all that but she also say Saten and his Demons are going to engulf the world and take control over everyone's mind! She also says she has a dark angel and pretends to make it come out!And everytime I start to read my Bible, she starts to scream,"LAURA! PUT THAT (missing word) THING DOWN OR I'M GOING TO (missing word) BURN IT!"
What do I do?I need verses!

for the cussing problems there's Matthew 5:34-37 But I tell you, Do not Swear at all: either by heaven, for it's God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your 'Yes' be yes and your 'No by no; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
For the thing with your friend, tell her that she has her religion and you have yours. Tell her if she wants to be a friend of yours, she'll have to learn to respect your religion and you will have to respect hers. Tell her she can believe in whatever she wants, but that doesn't mean she has to interfere with your beliefs

For the cussing read Colossians 3:8 "But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips." Also James 5:12 "Do not swear-not by heaven or by earth or by anything else." Oh and I placed a story in here recently about why we hate cussing so much, I see that you know it's wrong and want to stop, I just thought you might like to check it out: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=1344422One other thing is don't forget to pray about it. I use to cuss all the time and I hated myself for it, but one day I sat down with God and asked him to take control of tounge and help me to use it only to speak of his good works. Now don't get me wrong it took a while, but I was determined and with his help to overpower the devil and all his temptations, plus additional help from my Christian friends and family I was free of it for good and I never intend on returnng to the way I was then. As for your friend I would again say spend some time each day praying for her. Don't give up and just start off by being a friend to her. Avoid joining in with her activities but whenever a convosation arises that you are uncomfortable with just pray quietly to yourself for courage to speak out to your friend and pray that she would see the light. By being a shining example for the Lord she will begin to notice that you have something in your life far better than she has in hers. You are best off living as a great witness to her, act fully in God and carry out his plans, don't be spending every minute trying to force your friend to believe what you do, but slowly introduce her to your ways, show her what it is she is missing out on and then eventually, hopefully, she will see what forces of evil she has been messing with. I'll be praying for you and your friend P.s. http://web2.airmail.net/dpelc/yellow/Great website! heart God Bless heart

I've taken the time to memorize this verse because it's so helpful -
" Flee from the evil desires of youth and pursue rightousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who follow the Lord out of a pure heart. Don't have anything to do with foolish or stupid arguments because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel. He must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hopes that God will grant him repentence, leading him to the knowledge of the truth, and he will come to his senses and escape the trap of the devil, who has taken him captive to do his will. "
2nd Timothy 2:22-26

I have a really bad cussing problem too. I've read all the verses but it doesn't really help. I stop for a while, then I go back to school and it's bad again. I'm also having a cutting problem.

As for verses for your friend who is into witch craft I would suggest this one but it is your over all judgement.
Revelation 20:7-10 [7]When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison [8]and will go out to deceive the nation in the four corners of the earth-Gog and Magog-to gather them for battle. In mumber they are like the sand on tyhe seashore. [9]They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. [10]And the devil, who deceeived them, was throuwn into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet ahd been thrown. They will be tormentd day and night for ever and ever.
This verse shows how although many times it seems Satan is winning, but in the end he and all his followers will lose. But be careful if you share this, because you don't want to seem like your on the attack.

okay for your friend, her mind has already been under the influence of a demonic spirit, hince the screaming when she sees you read the bible. Nothing of the devil can stand to hear the true Word of God...it infuriates satan and his demons. You need to PRAY for her and she needs to go through deliverance in a holy spirit filled church.
for you....stay in the Word of God...pray, and keep in right relationship with Jesus Christ. Do not succomb to the lies of the devil and make sure to keep your friendship with this person in check, because you do not want any wrong relationships, evil or demonic spirits to filter their way into your life. Hope this helps and I will be praying for you and your friend.

Hope this helps and I will be praying for you and your friend. I wouldn't say she's been under the influence of a demonic spirit as in possesed, so much as simply not filled with God. It's very common for people to react violently to the Word. My advice would be to simply show the friend the love of Christ and be a good friend to her. Don't press your beliefs. They'll only come to god by His work. As for evil or demonic spirits filtering into her life.. Newsflash, they're all around, everywhere! However, if you're Christian, you've got nothing to fear. You've got Christ inside of you. That doesn't mean satan can't drag you down, and Lord knows Satan knows the Bible inside and out, so watch yourself, and don't give him a foot hold.
