A roleplay between n e v e r l a n d - - xx [Trystan & Crux] and Jynk [Faolan & Ziazan]
Location: Shopping District
Time: Early evening.
Weather: Cool and clear.
PostPosted: Fri May 01, 2009 10:52 pm

Faolan bopped down the sidewalk, humming a jaunty tune. He'd kept the hood of his jacket up for two reasons while out shopping: one, to keep people from staring at his horns and, two, to allow Ziazan a hiding place while the little Essentic clung to his shoulder. Adjusting the straps of his backpack to be more comfortable, he rounded the corner, looking for the incense shop he'd been told was around the area.

It had been a clean kill.

Trystan smiled to himself, the color of black beginning to bleed from his eyes and turn to white again. Crux was beside him, blood splattered over the left side of the shimmering band of red. Shaking its head, the Proto thrummed a bit, cleaning the mess from his "body."
"Has the job been finished?" Crux purred, and Trystan nodded soundlessly. "Yeah, lets go." He said simply, turning on his heel and walking away from the mess they had left. Two bodies were piled in a dumpster. The best part? No one would ever know who had done such a thing. Flipping open the messenger bag, he let Crux in before closing it over the other. In public, he had to hide the horrific doll proto somewhere. The messenger bag was just big enough for Crux to slip into if he folded himself up just a bit. A smile fell onto Trystans lips. It was strange indeed, strange indeed....

Rounding a corner, Trystan expected to keep walking when he felt his feet tangling and crumpling together. The worst part? With someone elses. A scream was caught on his lips, turning into a muffled yelp when he crash landed into the floor, instinctively attempting to not land on the person he'd knocked over. It ended with Trystan a few inches away on his back, sprawled out on the concrete like the idiot he was.
He said lamely, his head pounding a bit. Sniffing the air a bit, he heard the demonic blood start to pump in his ears as he picked up on... another demon. A scowl fell onto his lips. This was not what he needed. The white of his eyes started to turn black again. Encountering others with similar blood as his made him go into his more... morbid self. And Trystan was keen on doing that as little as possible. Flipping onto his stomach, he stood up and eyed the kid on the floor with a narrowing of his eyes. Trystan had accidentally knocked the boy to the ground, and now had a fine glance over the horns on the kids head. Apparently his blood wasn't lying to him. This was another demon. Perfect. He didn't offer help, just observed - his eyes were completely black except for the steely blue now. "You aren't dead are you?" He settled on asking in the middle of observing, feeling his messenger bag for Crux. Peeking out from between the folds of cloth was a shimmering red band, collecting what seemed to be data. "Essentic." Crux purred from within, and Trystan narrowed his eyes. Leaning down, he roughly grabbed the other by the arm and hauled him up, not feeling like being gentle today.

"Alive, demon?"
He asked a bit teasingly, even though his eyes said otherwise. Honestly, all he wanted to do was go home.

"Great Bertha's beard!" Faolan managed to yelp as he'd collided with the other man and fallen to the ground. He'd just been sitting up to check on Ziazan when he was hauled to his feet a lot more roughly than he usually liked. "Let go, dammit!"

Looking up, though, he froze, golden eyes locked onto the eyes of the man holding him. "Oh, ******** me sideways," the young man groaned. He needed no other signs to tell him he was in trouble. The man holding him fast oozed danger.

Ziazan moved so that it could peer out of the hood of Faolan's jacket, then pointed a wing at the bag the stranger wore. "Essentic."

Snickering a bit at the kids feeble attempts at getting him off, Trystan let go without much trouble and eyed him up and down. There was no mistaking the tug of demonic energies coinciding - even a half demon could sense a full ones blood. They were drawn in like magnets if they let themselves be, and after a kill, Trystan was subconsciously drawn to others like a guilty pleasure. "No need to be feisty, I was only taking you off the ground." He said in a rumble, black eyes sizing the kid up and down. For a purebred, he didn't look like much at all. Pity, really. Glancing up as the kid started to swear and make a completely twisted comment on ********, Trystan snickered again. "Sorry babe, you'd have to pay me for that." Trystan said dryly in fair game, then glanced down at the boys legs in a display of slight disagreement. "And even with my skills I'm not sure I could ******** you like that. It'd be quite hard - especially since you dont look all that flexible." Trystan held back a bark of perverse laughter. Thankfully, Crux didn't know anything about perversion, or he would of either been laughing along with his owner, or trying to kill him for saying such embarrassing things.

Looking down as something hummed from within the mans jacket, Trystan peered. He hadn't been listening to Crux, and only remembered the other when he stuck his head out of the bag, as well as his metal claws.
"Essentic." He purred. "Bird, feathered. Interesting." Crux nodded in satisfaction "I am Crux. And you are?" Horrified, Trystan stared down at his talking horror-esque doll, and then back at the thing he was staring at. "Crux!" He snapped, shoving the thing back in the bag before growling. They had already attracted attention from their fall, and if people kept staring, rumors might be starting. And with the Essentics... Oh right, the man had one too. God dammit all. "Feel like an adventure, kiddie?" Trystan said snidely, but didn't wait for a response. Reapplying his vice grip on Faolan, Trystan growled in threat when Crux poked his head out again. "Time to go." He said in false cheer, before roughly pulling Faolan down the nearest alley way and out of sight. Somewhere safe - somewhere not in the middle of public.

Thankfully, Trystan didn't think this was kidnap. No.... this was just friendly negotiations.

Bad. Bad. Bad. The whole situation had gone from an innocent collision to something horribly wrong. Fao decided not to comment at all on the man's prattle about having sex with him and let himself be pulled along, hoping to catch the man off guard and make an escape. He'd seen other demons and half-demons before--unsure which this man was--and knew they were usually not people to piss off, or even come in contact with. It was a miracle he'd be raised as he had to be rather friendly and jovial for someone of demon blood.

"Essentic is dog-like. Metal and wires. Perhaps unfinished? I am Ziazan," the small proto said by way of introduction, ignoring Fao's attempts to shut it up. It fussed a bit at the boy trying to keep it from flying down to meet the other Essentic, wanting to touch it and, thus, know it.

Faolan managed, even with the man's vice-like grip on his arm, to keep a hold of Ziazan. He twisted a bit, proving he was indeed flexible, and glared at the other man. "What do you want with me? I've done nothing to you." He continued keeping an even stare at the black-eyed man that was kidnapping him. That's right, kidnapping. Already, though, he could feel his fear was bringing on the irregular heart rhythms that had plagued him since he was a child and the last thing he wanted was to blackout with this man anywhere near him or Zia.

"Correct."

Crux would have been smiling a slightly morbid smile if he had a face and a mouth to show off. He had poked out from the messenger back once again, examining the other Essentic as best he could while they were all toted along for the ride. The shimmer of the band was enough to make anyone wonder.
"Dog." He purred out. "Dog. Wild dog - no domestication. Metals and wires - flexibility. Usage of weapons is made easier with less flesh." The horror-esque tone he took on - a slight droned hum as if it were information coming out from a demon made in hell - was enough to make Trystan want to shiver. What the hell had he gotten into when he'd taken Crux? The Essentic was scarier then him at some points. "Ziazan, a pleasure. And your purpose?" Crux inquired in a thrum and then cocked its head to the side when Faolan was yanked out of his sights. Trystan had dragged them to an alley now, behind the market place where people were. "Crux." Trystan said with the slightest of demanding tones, and the Essentic thrummed.

"Trystan, you are irritated. Impatient. You have told me that is... not good."
When the man snapped for the other again, Crux just jumped out of the bag and stood at his full height, band shimmering as though he were pleased. "None hidden, none in sight. Closest is..." He rambled on for a moment, before Trystan decided not to listen to the Essentic anymore and turned to Faolan. "What do I want with you?" He asked with a slight coy grin, crossing his arms. "Nothing, kiddie. Just that Essentics are illegal goods, and I'd rather not be thrown in jail because yours decided to have a conversation with mine in the middle of the street." He scowled a bit, and shuddered as the demonic pulses began to tear through his system. "Anyways..." He gritted, changing to a position with his hands moodily placed on his hips. "I'm interested in you. You are a purebred, aren't you. Because of that, its not what you've done to me, but what you haven't done." There was no mistaking that. The aura was too strong. "You dont act like it - you dont smell like blood, you've got no weapons on you..." He snorted a bit. "What kind of life have you led? What family do you come from anyways? Or are you just one of those mutts?" Trystan knew that most well known demons were associated with family ties, just like he was. There were others, but because of the demons primordial instincts, it was less likely for them to separate, and even more farfetched for them to have any sort of job that was.... normal. Or maybe Trystan was just being stereotypical again.

Trystan overlooked the other again for a moment. He snickered a bit. At least if he got annoying, Trystan could just knock him out. Though... like with every Essentics owner before, he was certainly interested with this one. Even more so then that, Faolan was.... a demon, a purebred. That one in itself made Trystan morbidly curious. And not necessarily in a good way either...

"Crux, it's nice to meet you, too. My purpose is clairvoyance. I read the histories and auras of objects for my master to aid him in his fortune telling," the small Essentic said, fluttering down to where Crux was, very cheerful for one facing a dangerous situation. It reached out a wing-tip and brushed it against the horror-doll combat Essentic. "You seem safe . . . for now."

Faolan leaned back against the brick of the alley wall when the man had let go of him. "Ziazan, shut it," he told the small one before focusing back on the man, trying to keep his breathing even. "I have no idea what you're on about. I'm not a purebred at all. I don't even know who my parents were. My adopted father found me abandoned on the steps of a church when his carnival was passing through. He took me in and raised me as his own." His lips curled into a sneer of disdain. "I'm not like you. I'm not evil. I don't hurt people. I'm just a fortune teller in a traveling carnival. Nothing more or less."

He closed his eyes briefly, gritting his teeth against the skipped heartbeats, vainly willing his heart to slow down. Opening his eyes again, he fixed the man with a steady gaze, despite the fear he felt. If this demon had an Essentic, then he knew Banning and Banning had told him who the other owners were. This man was certainly not Willis or Elst and was most likely not Lee, but Trystan--whom he'd been warned to avoid. Lovely.

"Banning won't like you picking on his other clients, Trystan," Faolan said through gritted teeth, leaning more heavily on the wall, one hand to his chest now.

Ziazan looked up at its owner, all too aware of the occasional episodes the young man had when under stress or overworked or, in this case, experiencing great fear. It had somewhat sensed the arrhythmia starting, but had been distracted by the other Essentic. Now it's attention was fully on its owner and worry showed on its small face. It looked at Trystan and Crux, unsure of what to do as it was not designed to protect. The little creature flew up to eye-level with Trystan and fluttered there. "Help him. Please?"

Crux purred again, this time reaching up a mechanical hand to feel the feathers tentatively. "You are different. Strange." He said in a hum, cocking his head to the side, scanner shimmering. Nodding at the information, Crux steadily watched the other, not minding the touch in the least. Contact wasn't so bad, as long as it wasn't harmful. "I see. Clairvoyance. Interesting - you must be... very helpful." Of all of the Essentics Crux had met so far, this one seemed to be the most pleasing. Lauss had been... well, to say the least, they had simply ignored each other for the most part. Aoi was something Crux felt a kinship with, but would rather not encounter again - the flowers had made Trystan unhappy, and Crux was not sure he liked the natural feel of it all. "Safe?" Crux purred out, tilting itself upwards as it repeated words said by its master. "We weapons are hardly safe. But I will not harm you. Not unless Trystan orders me so. And it does not seem likely."

Watching the man in the most aggravated of manners, Trystan flashed his black eyes dangerously.
"Then you are a fool." He gritted, angry that this man seemed to have no idea about his true nature. "Haven't you noticed at all?" Trystan shook his head, slamming a fist right next to Faolans head against the brick wall and leaning in close. He was a head taller then the other - and he like being menacing. As well as that, his demon blood was just begging him for a closer scent of this a*****e. "Your blood. Your scent. It all screams that you're not anything different then us." He grinned in a sultry manner. "You're a demon, and if your body is lying, your affect on me most certainly is not." He wasn't talking about a sensual thing at all. The shudders ripping through him from the strong scent of near demonic blood was a unique trait of the Chevalier bloodline. They were built as weapons, and usually took on such bloody jobs as hitmen because the mere scent, the faint smell of pure kin blood would set them off on a bloodlust. Because of his half breed status however, Trystan was able to contain it better. However, it wasn't enough to stop him from wanting to rip this person to shreds and pull him back together again for an examination. "What a cute story." He mocked, black eyes narrowing as he listened. "Whoever said I was evil? Whoever said I'm the one hurting people?" He cocked his head to the side with a purely sadistic grin. "How would you know anything? Is that your outlook on demons? Even when you're the exact same as us? Hypocrite."

Listening to the faint irregular beat of the others heart, Trystan leaned away, a smoky smile falling on his lips.
"Fortune teller or not, you cant deny your blood. And sooner or later, you can guarantee that it'll cause you trouble." He grinned devilishly. "God, you're so stupid, demon." He watched the other carefully, interested by the weakness seeming to show through, despite the others "status." Perhaps the demonic blood had been muted out? This was weird. Trystan narrowed his eyes. This kid, was he telling the truth? Just how much did he know about demons then? Not much... it seemed. He had leaned away in thought, not interested if the other wasn't going to retaliate.

Jerking a bit as the other managed to taunt him using the name Banning, Trystan turned with a speed at an incredible rate. A snarl hadn't even made it out of his throat before his dangerous hand curled around the others throat, forcefully cutting off air supply for a moment. It was taking all he had in him not to snap that pretty neck.
"Do you really want to push your limits?" Trystan snarled darkly, his nails digging in the soft flesh. "I am not inclined to resign to peaceful negotiations. If you think just because you're hanging out with Banning, I wont hurt you, you've got a lot of nerve." Trystan smiled fluidly, squeezing a bit more. "I'm not sure I would be opposed to seeing you bleed, if you push your luck anymore, fortune teller." Dropping the hand, he stepped back, his eyes wide from the thrill of having a life in his hands for a split second. He wanted to rip this boy apart and he couldn't. The aggravation was killing him, but not so much as the shudders now racking his body. Both of them seemed like they were losing their limits, but it was who broke first that would be interesting to see.

Crux glanced up at an alarming rate when his masters hand had shot out like it did. He shuddered a bit, the anticipation killing him. Trystan seemed to be thinking like an animal in heat, and the Essentic didn't know much but what he did know was that things like such were not exactly good, and his master could hurt himself from doing something solely on impulse like that. Looking up as Ziazan flapped in front of him, Crux's red band shimmered, as if collecting data.
"How so?" He purred, cocking his head to the side. "Irregular heart beat indicates a cardiac condition relating the organ." The Essentic thrummed, taking in more information. "I am not sure I have the ability to do as you ask, but can only do so if willed to by my master. My apologies, Ziazan." He said like a drone, though he did look at Trystan for advice. "Trystan, this man is undergoing a heart condition. Ziazan is not pleased. We should... " He trailed off. Help was a foreign word to him. He was built for destruction, and it was odd to think of such a thing. Crux did not want to help. It was not within his creation. He was destruction. It was impossible for him. Hearing Trystan swear, the Essentic glanced up. Trystan scowled and looked over at Faolan. "Look, I'm not going to be responsible for your godamn death you stupid demon. But I'm not done with you yet, so just calm down. Do I need to drag you around again to make you stop freaking out?" He said through gritted teeth, the last part a bit of a morbid tease.

Way to add humor, right?
PostPosted: Mon May 04, 2009 1:30 am

"No. Don't touch me," Faolan grunted, trying to move away from the psychotic man, wanting to avoid being strangled again or hit. He slid down the wall to sit upon the ground, gulping at the air, eyes closed. He was dizzy, but felt he'd stay conscious. "Don't flatter yourself. You're not the cause of this. I was born with it. It comes and goes on its own."

Finally he looked up at the man, feeling more calm now, which surprised himself. "I'm telling you the truth. I know I have demon blood. The horns are a dead giveaway, but I know nothing of my birth parents. I was found abandoned just like I said. As far as I've ever known, I'm only half demon. Why are you so sure I'm purebred?"

Ziazan fluttered over to hug Faolan's neck with its wings, happy its master was feeling better. "You'll be okay, Fao. You have to be. I can't take you back to Farstep alone. Besides, the clowns would never let you live it down." It turned to look at Crux with a grin, as if sharing the joke with the other Essentic. Zia understood the other was underdeveloped, having yet to gain a personality, but it didn't stop from trying to be personable to the other proto.

Faolan stroked the small Essentic's back. "Yeah, I know. I'd never be able to explain being dragged home by a mutant parrot, either." He looked up at Trystan, still trying to relax to slow his heart rate down. "Banning was right to warn me about you. Why he'd give an Essentic to you is just . . . insane logic."

Ziazan extracted itself and went to sit beside Crux again, somewhat ignoring Trystan. "Thank you. You . . . did help. Some." It put one of its tiny hands on the other Essentic's shoulder, the feathers of its wing acting as an ad hoc cloak for Crux. "You don't seem like a weapon. More like a guard dog. A good one, too. Your master must appreciate you very much. He must be happy to have someone who understands him." It stayed near the other, keeping a hand on it, and looked from Faolan to Trystan with some worry as to what the strange man might do to its master.

Trystan sneered and moved away from the other under the feeble command. Despite his urges, he knew that it would be better for both of them not to come into contact with each other as much as possible. Triggering unwanted reactions was not Trystans idea of fun, after all. He killed for a living - not for fun. It was an addiction - not a game. "I wasn't flattering myself, darling." Trystan said snidely, hands defiantly placed on his hips. "If you think that was flattery then baby you haven't seen anything yet." Grinning, the egomaniac settled into calming his raging blood down, not wanting to feel the desire for a hunt take him over anytime soon. "Pity you were born with it. Maybe you're just defective." If he wasn't such a crude creature, that could have been taken as a joke. Too bad the two weren't friends, and too bad Trystan wasn't exactly kind.

Listening carefully to the boy speak, Trystan narrowed his eyes. What kind of family abandoned their son like that? Especially a demon... Perhaps - no. This wasn't something Trystan wanted to dig into. He knew all about family problems, he didn't need to give this kid a lecture on it.
"So your parents just abandoned you like that? No wonder you turned out so..." He paused, looking for the right word. "Normal." He finally decided. Of course, Faolan naturally did not appear normal most likely to other humans. But to demons, it was almost a pity to see their kind mauled by such... subtle appearances. "It feels like you are." Trystan responded simply. "Your demon blood is much stronger then mine - I can smell it, and it wouldn't be destroying my common sense if it was as muted as you think it is." He smiled dangerously. "After all, I'm only a mutt - I would know another of my kin if I saw them." Trystan purred in the back of his throat in a lavish way. "Apparently theres a lot you dont know about yourself. Pity you'll probably never figure it out."

Looking up as Banning was mentioned again, Trystan narrowed his eyes and then snickered. So Banning had warned Faolan against meeting him? That was a humorous thing one in itself. Banning was an a*****e.
"Yeah well, warning labels never really work, do they? Lo' and behold, here we are. Nothing you can do now, darling." He said in a snide tone, his eyes icy cold and crude. "Insane logic?" Trystan snorted in some sort of attempt at laughing. "The mans giving out illegal good to people who dont even know their own parents - much less their blood ties, or anything of the sort - as well as little girls and old men I'd bet." He rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders upwards for a moment. "This man was insane long before he chose to give me an Essentic." He concluded loftily.

Crux let its band shimmer more as the other Essentic landed back on him after tending to its master.
"You are welcome." He said - almost awkwardly, as it was uncommon for such words to be said to him. Turning his head a bit towards the other when the Essentic spoke, Crux would have blinked - had he the eyes to. Instead, a thrum came from the back of what could only be imagined as his throat. "I was made as a weapon. I eliminate things... for Trystan." He said but his words were simple facts. "However, I was also built to guard my master - no one shall touch him." He said softly, nodding his head a bit. "So... yes, a guard dog is correct, I would assume, in some cases. You are... smart." He said and nodded his head, turning to watch the humans with careful precision. Faolan seemed as harmless as the next guy, but Crux's un-personified nature was still adapting to the idea of "friendship." When the other spoke of Trystan, Crux cocked his head to the side. "Trystan? Happy?" A purr left the Essentics throat in what could almost have been considered laughter. "That is a far fetched thing. But yes. I am as he is. We understand each other... and that is good." Crux nodded. If he couldn't get along with his master, he wouldn't be able to feel such a strong bond. Yes, they were one of a kind... and of the same... It made sense. It all made sense. Turning back to his master, Crux's band shimmered once again.

However, this man seemed to be doing something strange to the other. And Crux could not understand what.
PostPosted: Thu May 07, 2009 6:06 pm

Fao nodded, not really listening to the other till he kept referring to him with those pet names. He looked up at Trystan, giving him a look that wasn't quite a glare. "Do me a favor and stop calling me 'baby' and 'darling'. You certainly look nothing like my girlfriend. As for my being defective, maybe I am, but it's a part of who I am and I've learned to deal with it, probably as well as you deal with your rage and bloodlust, right?" He moved a bit, bracing himself against the brick wall, then stood up slowly and leaned back against it, feeling much better.

"If the alternative is being like you, then maybe it was a good thing I was abandoned. Also, thanks so much for bringing that up so often. Why not give me a nice papercut and pour lemon juice in it, too?" Fao said bitterly. "As for my parentage, I'm sure you have a better grasp on what spawned me than I do. I didn't get the benefit, as it were, to be raised by demonkind, so I took what I got. I love my dad. He wasn't able to bring me up as a proper demon, maybe, but he's a good man and he raised me the best he could. Is that so wrong?"

As for Banning, the two were in agreement, but Fao didn't feel like giving the man the satisfaction of being agreed with, so stayed silent on that issue.

Ziazan nodded at Crux's words. "I do not understand what a weapon is, but I sense your function and purpose are in harmony." The Essentic looked at the two half-demons, tilting its head. "So much alike and so different."

"I didnt know I looked like a girl in the first place." Trystan stated dryly back, a hand on his hip. "Sorry - er, what was your name again? - old habits die hard, and I dont think I'll stop just for you." Trystan eyed the other for a moment, his breathing calming down even though his demon blood was still pulsing like a hunger inside of him. "Rage and bloodlust?" Trystan snickered, leaning against the opposing wall and crossing his arm. "Its part of being a mutt. I just got back from a job - I'm always like this." He shook his head, eyes flashing dangerously. "If I weren't dealing with it right now, I would have to say that you probably wouldn't be in such a nice state." Trystans black sclera eyes flickered over the horns, momentarily noticing them under the dark hoodie. He didn't put much thought into them, and instead moved on, turning to Faolan again. The boys demon scent smelled familiar - vaguely familiar, but from where, Trystan couldn't place. It was like a memory being just out of reach, a fact he couldn't quite hold on to and think about clearly.

Sneering a bit at the others next words, Trystan dug his nails into the soft of his skin and glared at the other, his eyes sharpening with a dangerous glimmer. The threat of rage boiled underneath the surface, those dangerous eyes narrowed. Be careful, the body language warned.
"And perhaps it was." Trystan said dangerously. "You would have never survived in a world like ours with the way you act now." A dangerous grin formed on his lips. "So its better for both sides, isn't it? Oh well, its not much of my concern anyways. You may not like it, but we're both mutts, and you should get that through your thick skull soon enough." Trystan sighed, examining his nails in mock disinterest. "And as much as I'd kill to give you a papercut, I dont think that'd really get me anywhere..." Trystan flickered his eyes up with a lazy cat like smile. "I dont feel like making enemies today, anyways." The half demon glanced up a bit, hearing Crux thrum from somewhere nearby. The silly Proto was like a guard dog with the way he always hovered. When the boy talked about what had spawned him, Trystans eyes jolted open in the slightest.

s**t.

He hadn't even considered that this kid may be from some prestigious demon family gone wrong. After all, cases of mutts like him had happened before. Luckily for Trystan, they had decided not to kill him at the last second. Well, his father had decided that really. Sadly enough, the Chevalier family was not as crude and heartless when it came to their own spawn. And Trystan was only saved by that in itself. Pushing away from the wall, Trystan planted his hands on his hips and frowned a bit at Faolan.
"Theres no benefit to being raised as a demon." he said absently. "Its just a bunch of learning how to deal with s**t." Trystan smiled dangerously at the other, his eyes glittering with danger. "I never said that was wrong." Trystan shrugged, staring hard at Faolan. "You shouldn't assume things so quickly. It might just be the death of you." With another cat like grin, the black eyed demon narrowed his eyes at Faolan. Or more specifically, his horns.

Something was so similar about them....

Crux glanced over at Ziazan for a moment, his band shimmering as he stood at his full height instead of crouching like he had before. This creature... did not understand what a weapon was? Pity.... But that was alright, Crux decided logically. Because Ziazan wasn't made like him.
"A weapon is dangerous. Used for inflicting harm upon others or being used for self defense." He said softly, and cocked its head a bit. "We do function... in harmony. He understands my movements, as I do his." A rueful smile would have fallen on Crux's face, had he one to show. "Even though he will never admit it." Crux purred a bit in the back of what could only be assumed to be his throat. Following Ziazans gaze, Trystan glanced at the two as well. "Opposites attract?" He offered lamely, as he had read up on sayings like such on the internet. "Perhaps that is good. Too much alike, they could repel each other. Correct?" He thrummed, wondering if his information on magnets and objects and the law of physics and such would be able to related to humans.

Or demons.. in this sense.

Faolan had just about had enough of it all. "Enough with the empty threats already. If you're going to kill me, just do it and be off with you. If you're not, then shut the hell up already about it." He looked at Ziazan. "Hey, if this guy does kill me, go tell Elle I died bravely or something, okay?"

The Essentic rolled its eyes. "I highly doubt the man will kill you, Faolan. You are two sides of the same coin." It looked back at Crux and shrugged. Perhaps the other Essentic could talk some sense into the two men.

The young man looked back at Trystan, noticing the way he was looking at him. "What now?"

Puffing out his cheeks in a mock child act, Trystan sighed and waved his hands, backing up a step. "Mrow, kitty kitty, no need to get feisty, I was just joking." He said, tossing his head to one side with a grunt. After a second, he just glanced back at Faolan and frowned. "I dont kill people I'm not hired to. Honestly, I'm not that bad." Replacing his hands onto his hips, Trystan cocked an eyebrow when the other turned to his Proto. "Elle?" He repeated with a curious grin, a lazy taunting one. "Whos that? Your giiiiiirlfriend?" There was something about this kid... Something that made Trystan really want to tease him. Maybe it was that they were both demons, and Trystan knew a lot more then he did. Or maybe it was just because of his morbid curiosity in the candidates for Banning. Who knew, who knew.

Crux purred a bit at the other Essentics words. What Faolan was saying was true.
"I agree." He said loftily, much to Trystan choking on his own words. The man had been astounded at Ziazans words, to the point that he had had a small jaw drop moment. Now Crux was telling them to behave too? "Perhaps... you can learn something from another half demon, Trystan." Crux said to his master, turning his head in the slightest. "And perhaps information can be divulged to him as well. After all, as Ziazan has said, you are... two sides of the same coin." With that, the Proto let out a satisfied thrum and nodded its head. That was all it had to say.

Looking back at Faolan, Trystan grinned lazily.
"You heard them. Play nice." He said, nudging the other slightly in a mocking tone. As much as Trystan hated to admit it, he was actually starting to come back down from his morbid euphoria from his demon high. And now he just felt a bit tired, and not in the mood for arguing. When Faolan asked him about what they were going to do now, or something of the like, Trystan just shrugged and shifted his book bag on his shoulder. Cocking an eyebrow, he slowly connected a few puzzle pieces in his head as he stared at those peculiar horns. Within the entirety of the demon world, there were distinct traits tied to different purebred families. The Chevaliers were known and recognized by their black sclera. The Diamoni Family was known by their slick silver tails - Eli, his "friend" of sorts, was a perfect example of that. This kid... This kid had a trait from a familiar family... Now, Trystan just needed to remember the name... Smiling tauntingly, Trystan leaned back and crossed his arms.

"I think I know your real dad."
He said simply. However, information came at a price. And he didn't feel like giving Faolan much of it anytime soon.
