NOTE: Lerena and Renoko's history will be explained more in depth throughout the RP.

NAME: Lerena Leigh Helena
AGE: 16
GENDER: Female
BIO: Born in America, she is also a girl who is very close to her family. As a child in Middle School, she was always made fun of for getting hurt so easily. When her sister got revenge for her, her mind darkened into something twisted and sadistic. After Renoko graduated from middle school, one of their old enemies hired a gang leader to kill the two of them. The gang leader in question turned out to be their uncle, but that didn't stop him from trying to kill Lerena. She has scars from her fight with her uncle. It is because of Renoko that she was able to survive. After the disaster and Lerena's recovery, her family moved to Domino City where Lerena was home-schooled until high school.
PERSONALITY: She has trouble trusting people outside of her family so she holds a lot of secrets within. She's hateful of people with friends, because she's never had any. Only those strong enough to break through her barrier can see that she's actually a good person who is protective and obedient.
APPEARANCE: --will be up in 2-3 weeks and in the meantime described--
TEXT COLOR: Purple

NAME: Renoko Mai Helena
AGE: 17
GENDER: Female
BIO: She was thirteen years old when she brought a gun to school and caused a huge massacre. She didn't kill anyone, but she left many people injured. After this act of cruelty, Renoko was suspended from her school. Her parents took her sister out of the school and they transferred them both to a private school. During this time, she and her sister formed an evil duo called the Demonic Sisters, meant to cause fear throughout their school. It worked, but at a heavy price. (see Lerena's bio)
PERSONALITY: Strong and protective, but cold-hearted and vengeful. She doesn't want anyone getting close to her sister and then hurting her, but even so, she will obey her sister's every command unless her life or happiness is being threatened. She is cruel and likes to see her enemies in pain.

[[Ok, I'll start :3]]

BEEP BEEP BEEP BONK! Akiko's alarm went off. Instantly, her arm flew out trying to shut it off, but ended up punching it. Her head shot up as her arm retracted, "Owwww-ah!" she said as she gripped her hurting hand. She ended up losing her balance and falling out of bed. After the initial shock, she sighed. "I hate mornings....." she grumbled as her alarm still screamed for her to wake up. She climbed up and shut her alarm off properly. She laid her head on her bed and sighed again. "Maybe I can pretend I'm sick and not go...." she mumbled to herself. This was going to be Akiko's first day at her new school. She wouldn't know anybody there, it was going to be a complete drag. She missed her old school, her old friends, her old life. Sure, she was closer to her family, her mother's side in particular. But still! It wasn't going to be the same. She finally got up and scratched her head, she had to get ready for school.

Jonouchi heard his own alarm go off but simply kept hitting the sleep button. It kept going off every ten minutes but he didn't care. He was having a wonderful dream about a big busty girl and wanted to quickly get back to that dream. After a half an hour went by, he realized he couldn't get back to that dream. He groaned and grumbled at his alarm. "I hate you..... so much alarm clock," he said shutting it off. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He then looked at the time once more. It took him awhile, but he realized he was late. "Damn it!" he said jumping out of bed. He started running around his room grabbing what he needed for school. His books, his cards, his clothes, his brush, anything and everything. He quickly got changed. As long as he kept up his pace he could easily make it on time to class. In the midst of his own concern about being late, he had forgotten that he was supposed to go to Yuugi's house so they could walk together.

Marik had already awaken way before he had too. He was already prepared to go to class, he just waited until it was a proper time to go. He sat there, his room dark with only a few streams of the rising morning sun light casting into his room. He held his Millennium rod, concentrating on what he had to do. On who he had to take out. The Pharaoh. He loathed him with every pore on his body. That retched cur. Thoughts of him made his blood curdle. While he had to wait in that grim filled tomb for the Pharaoh's return, he was already awaken and going about his own life. Forgetting what he had to do, forsaking him and his family. When Marik left Egypt, he swore vengeance on the Pharaoh. He was going to take his power, his puzzle, and his happiness. That man did not deserve any of it. He was going to take him for everything he had. But in order to do that, he had to study him. He had to find out his weaknesses. He decided to go to the same school as him, to go 'under cover' as a high school student. He was about the same age as them all, so it was almost easy getting in. That and he did have the help of his Millennium rod. it was about time now. He stood up and packed the Millennium rob into his backpack, just in case he needed it.

[[oh, is Marik aware of his Yami yet or no?]]
PostPosted: Sat May 02, 2009 6:43 pm

((He's not aware of his yami. That makes things more interesting.))

The infamous Demonic Sisters were stationed outside the school watching people enter and walk to their classes. The eldest sister was leaning against the building with the bottom of one of her brown flats pressed against the brick wall. "Hmmm..." she said as she closed her eyes. "Our prey is quite limited today, dear Sister." came the cold-hearted voice of Renoko Mai Helena. "Or perhaps the Demonic Sisters need to become known for something else." Her eyes narrowed. "Classes start soon. Are you ready, Sister?"

Lerena Leigh Helena withdrew a black rose from behind her ear and appeared to be observing it. "I obtained this from one of our victims. It goes nicely with my outfit, does it not? If we did become known for something other than dominating the school with our combined power, then that would give our enemies a chance to mess with us." she pointed out. She would not stand for this. "Our victims seem to be keeping quiet like we asked. That's good. If anyone were to try and stop us, then we'd have a problem on our hands." added Lerena. "As for being ready for class, I hope our stupid Literature teacher does not assign us any more projects for awhile. She's retarded. It would be even worse if she made us do a group project."

"I'm done, Grandpa!" said Yuugi. He grabbed his brown bookbag and walked out the door of his grandfather's shop. He looked around for Jounouchi, but he didn't see him. "Jounouchi...man, he must have forgotten he was supposed to meet me here today." Yuugi thought with a sigh. He knew he was late so he didn't have time to wait for his best friend. If the circumstances were different, he would've waited. However, he had to spend thirty minutes helping his grandfather clean up around the shop before school. He didn't mind at all. Helping people was always a nice thing to do.

[[Ok, and also, is this Marik's first day or has he been a student here for a while? I wasn't sure which one we said he would be]]

Marik made his way to the school. He knew he would be deadly bored there during the whole day, but he had to do this. He had to disguise himself as so and fool everyone. They'll all be taken by surprise when he launches his attack. He was going to claim the Millennium Puzzle and permanently subdue the Pharaoh. As well as his little host. It didn't matter, he was still a part of the Pharaoh, that meant he had to go as well. He reached the gates of the school. Marik saw small groups of students entering the school. "Pfff," he mumbled finding this whole scene pathetic. He started walking toward the entrance where he saw two girls outside just watching people enter. He thought nothing of them, nor did he ask himself why they were doing so. He proceeded into the building.

Akiko already had her bags ready for school. All she had to do was get dressed, brush her teeth, her hair, the usual. She grabbed her things and looked for her lunch. If she didn't make one the night before her mom would usually make her something. She was so busy last night that she did forget to make something. So there on the counter was a bagel and a lunch bag. "Thanks ma, I'm going now," she shouted not sure exactly where her mom was. She grabbed her lunch and put it in her bag. She took the bagel and left her house. She didn't want to be late for her first day, though she still wished she could have been absent for it. She was making good time, she would be there in no time at all.

Jonouchi was out the house like a lightning bolt. He couldn't be late again. He actually cared now if he got detentions- now that he had friends and fun things to do after class. He just kept running, not minding where he was going or anything. It still hadn't crossed his mind that he was supposed to stop at Yuugi's house. And the way he was taking, he wasn't going to be meeting up with him at all.

[[my next post I'll have Akiko and Joey in the school next post]]

((He's been here for awhile.))

Yuugi had taken the shortcut to school, but knowing Jounouchi, he'd probably be taking the long way thinking it was the shortcut. Once he approached the school building, he noticed two girls who weren't going to class. Maybe they just didn't know that it was almost time to go in. A friendly reminder would help them to not get detention. He walked over to the two girls. "H-hello. Do you know that class is starting soon?" he asked kindly.

"Oh, we know, but we don't need a kid to remind us." said Lerena sarcastically. She knew who this was, but she had to make a joke about his height.

"Ummm. Okay, then, but I believe I'm in the same Literature class as both of you. And haven't I seen you in Geometry?" he asked looking at Lerena.

Renoko didn't like this guy being near her sister. Something about him seemed to be wrong, almost like a threat to their cause. She grabbed onto her arm and smirked. "Let's go, Sister. We don't need to be around this kid even if he is our age."

"Why, of course dear Sister." said Lerena. She walked inside the school building next to Renoko, ignoring Yuugi's slight annoyance.

Atemu appeared beside Yuugi, though no one else could see him at the moment. "Those two are up to something. I'm not sure if it's something we need to worry about, but I don't think they're doing anything right."

"Hm..." said Yuugi. He couldn't talk to his yami right now where people could see him, but he acknowledged what he said for later. He walked inside the building as well.

"I hate that kid! His name is Yuugi, right? I don't see why he's the King of Games! He's obviously not as good as he's made out to be." Renoko said to Lerena.

Lerena nodded. "I was planning to ditch Geometry today to do some research. But if that kid is in my Geometry class, he'll probably suggest to the teacher that I'm skipping class, getting me in trouble. Ugh. I hate Yuugi too. He's so...I don't know. Something about him is just annoying. I hear he has a split personality, but I'm skeptical."

Marik took his seat and waited for another day of class to start. Sometimes he wondered if this was even worth it, maybe he was better off just killing the kid and taking the puzzle. But he knew the puzzle would never work for him if he did it that time. He had to win it, it was the rules of the ancients. So he had to find some type of weakness. It was rather annoying since it was Yuugi- he already seemed rather weak. It was the Pharaoh that made him stronger. Well, he wasn't even there yet, so Marik decided to read his book to pass the time.

To calm her nerves, Akiko resorted to her music on her IPOD. She really couldn't hear anything except for her music from her tiny headphones. In fact, she started day dreaming a bit, falling into a trans from the melody. Once at the school, she didn't notice anybody, she paid no mind. However, when she reached her class room, she put her little device away and looked inside. The teacher signaled her to stay and he walked out to her.

"Hello, you must be Akiko Kuruten. If you don't mind, I'd like everyone to be here before I introduce you to the class. Please wait out here," he said then returned to the class room to wait for all of his students.

Akiko sighed a little. Great, ok, wait outside of a hallway- let everyone know you're new. She slipped her earphones back into her ears to keep herself entertained. She leaned up against the opposing wall, looking into the class room and waiting for the teacher's signal.

Jonouchi dashed through the hallways and into the classroom. He didn't even notice a new girl standing outside of the class room. He flopped into his seat. "On time!" he announced happily. "Right Yug?" he said looking over at his seat. However, his little friend wasn't in his seat. "Yuugi?" he said then thought for a moment. "Aw s**t.....! Man I hope he's not to angry with me," he said remembering now that the two of them were supposed to walk to school today.

Marik looked over at Jonouchi. God that kid was an idiot....

[[oh yea, I gave her the wrong last name at first so that was editted. And if I ever accidentally write 'Joey' instead of 'Jonouchi' I'm sorry. For some reason, I always mess that up crying ]]

((I don't mind if you make a mistake like that. xD Whoever would yell at you for something like that must be a retard. I do prefer his Japanese name though.))

Renoko took her seat and pulled out a book she had checked out of the library's fiction section. It was about Egypt's history and she couldn't quite figure out why it was fiction until she noted something in the table of contents: the Millennium Items. What were those? She flipped to that page instead of reading the book's introduction. Supernatural abilities was the key word that highlighted the introduction's topic. These items had supernatural abilities? Who could be so stupid as to push out the possibility of these items actually existing? She looked at a diagram of the items. There were seven in all: the Tauk, Rod, Ring, Eye, Ankh, Scale, and...Puzzle?

Her eyes widened. That puzzle resembled what she saw around that kid's neck earlier! Apparently, it wasn't just a fashion accessory. She couldn't discuss this piece of information with her sister now. There were too many people around. She got out a notebook, wrote herself a note, and tore it out before placing it inside one of her brown flats. She read about the rest of these items in interest. Getting a hold on these items would be difficult, but useful in the Demonic Sisters' quest for power. It wasn't as if Renoko didn't have enough power, being the sole heir to her mother's fashion company. However, she wanted her power to be renowned and feared throughout the world.

Lerena was sitting in front of Jounouchi and behind Malik, but she didn't care to speak to him. He was too busy reading a book. Her sister seemed to be making a note of something, which was good. This meant she'd find out something important later, and possibly a new lead on their quest for power. The teacher was also big on group projects and he taught Chemistry in particular. At least his reason for grouping up his students with people they'd never speak to otherwise was because this subject couldn't be entertaining even with a close friend. On her way in, she barely noticed Akiko and thought she was just finishing up with a song before walking into class.

She couldn't help but look at the back of Malik's head. It was amusing enough to keep her from screaming out of boredom, though she was hoping he really did not notice. Lerena hated it when men looked at her. It meant she had to 'explain' something. However, she convinced herself that this man didn't care about what she was doing because she was far too pathetic to pay any attention to. This was actually an amusing thought. Most of the men at this school had weak wills and were easy to take advantage of, but this man probably wasn't like that. Good. Now she only had to find a reason why she was staring at his hair in case he actually cared to find out what her deal was.

Come to think of it, there was no way she could be more retarded than Jounouchi. He came running into the room like a moron. Even if Jounouchi was somewhat cute, he definitely didn't have the intelligence she was looking for in a man. Why was she thinking about this? Good heavens, someone shoot her. She pulled out a book about the signs of the western zodiac and hoped that Malik didn't know she was staring at him before.

Yuugi walked into the classroom and took his seat beside Jounouchi. "Ah, sorry I was late. I had to clean my grandpa's shop. You apparently overslept, Jounouchi. Am I wrong?" he laughed nervously. His best friend and him were so close that Yuugi knew Jounouchi was one to oversleep or ignore his alarm clock. He noticed that one of the girls from earlier was sitting in front of him. She seemed to be doing some research on something. At first glance, she seemed to be one to skip class, but it appeared to him now that she was quite diligent in her studies.

It wasn't very strange that Marik enjoyed books. After all, he was stuck in that tomb most of his life and knew nothing of the real world. So he would usually take books out of the library and read when he was bored. Anything from fiction to philosophy. He especially liked books about astronomy and magazines about motorcycles. He peeked down from his book to see Yuugi walk into class. He cringed a little when he saw him. However he just sat there and watched him. Normally, if he ran into him he would just act nice to him, but he certainly wasn't going to pretend to be his friend. He didn't have that much tolerance for him. He went back to look at his book but stopped. He had a strange feeling someone was staring at him. He hated that feeling, drove him nuts. He looked from side to side and saw nobody paying mind to him. He then looked over to see the girl in back of him staring at him. However, he did nothing. He just turned his head around and continued reading. Why was she looking at him like that? Oh well, no matter to him.

"Heh heh, sorry Yug," he said scratching the back of his head a bit. "Oh yea? I guess you guys are still straightening up the shop," he said. Jonouchi put his hands behind his head and leaned on his chair, "Who me? Yea I over slepted. Couldn't help it man, I was dreaming about this fine chick," he moved his hands to trace the form of an hour glass, "smoking body and everything. I didn't want to wake up." A few girls near Jonouchi who over heard made faces and frowned. Jonouchi could be a perv sometimes but so could every other guy on the planet. But deep down, he was a good guy. He just has a dirty mind from time to time.

Akiko waited patiently outside, paying no mind to anyone. She was rather shy and especially nervous. She resented having to do this in her mind. But no matter how much she rejected the idea of starting over, she faced the fact that she would have to. She saw the teacher gesture for her to enter into the class. She quickly put her earphones away in her pocket and walked into the class. She dare not make eye contact with anyone, so she just kinda looked at the ground, the walls, the ceiling, anything other then a person.

"Class this is our new student Akiko Kuruten. She's joining us from the States. I would expect you all to make her feel welcomed," the teacher said as he then looked at her, "Would you like to add anything, Akiko?"

Yea great, tell everyone I'm a foreigner, Akiko thought. She glanced over at the teacher then back over the group of student. "Yea well, I was actually born in Japan, then my family moved to the States....." she said in almost a mummble but enough for people to hear it. She wanted to add that she hated starting everything over again and prefered to be back at her own school with her own friends, and just over all comfortable. But she didn't say that. Instead she forced a smile and shrugged at the teacher.

"Alright then, we have one more available seat toward the back. Why don't you take a seat?" he said wanting to start class.

Akiko nodded and walked toward the back. She wasn't near anybody in particular. She held her bag that was over her shoulder so it wouldn't hit anybody. People nearby could see the bruises on her legs if they examined. She was a little conscience about that, since whenever she did wear a skirt she would have pants underneath. She sat at her seat and took out her notebook, ready to learn. She didn't mind school itself, the education part, she worried about being alone.

[[I decided to add some things about Akiko that I normally don't. And also like Renoko and Lerena, there are somethings that I left out about her history. :3

And don't worry, nobody's yelled at me about messing up Jonouchi's name. Sometimes I just get aggravated with myself for doing that. X3]]

((I know what it's like to get irritated with yourself. It happens to me often. XD

Lol @ Marik enjoying Astronomy. I was so tempted to make the Science class Astronomy instead of Chemistry, but high school rarely teaches Astronomy. I don't see anyone at Domino High School teaching Astronomy either.))

Lerena Leigh Helena turned slightly red when Malik noticed her, but she was too busy reading her horoscope for the day to notice. It was quite pointless to believe in any of this crap for real, but sometimes her horoscope for the day actually made sense. This was only on occasion and not nearly enough for her to truly believe in it. When she was home-schooled, she took Astronomy. It was a self-taught course, but she enjoyed learning about it. She learned that she could actually teach herself things during her last two years of Middle School. Around this time, she also picked up some things about Astrology, which involved some study on the arrangement of the stars. Astrology had some similarities to Astronomy, but wasn't scientific in the slightest.

Her horoscope said:

You might take notice of someone for the first time today, dear Taurus. If it makes you nervous, perhaps you should communicate your feelings with the person you admire. Who knows? You might form a long-lasting friendship.

She snorted and looked up. A new girl was walking into class and she had bruises on her legs. It might be nice to befriend her, but Renoko would be skeptical. She caught her sister's stare and sighed to herself. Why wouldn't Renoko let her make any friends? She didn't understand.

Renoko looked at her sister and knew that the look in her eyes spelled a cry for help: she wanted to make friends with this new girl. If she was willing to pretend to be friends with her until the two of them truly knew her motives, than perhaps it wouldn't be so bad. She would never give her sister up so willingly until a person could pass her trial, and so far, no one was able to pass it. The both of them would have to get close to Yuugi later and take his Millennium Puzzle. However, as stated in her book on Egyptian history, she had to win Millennium Items in a duel, otherwise it was not truly hers and it would reject her. This punk only won through luck. Only one person was truly worthy of holding the King of Games title: Seto Kaiba.

She no longer wanted him to be hers anymore as she had grown out of her crush since arriving here. However, when she heard of Yuugi beating Kaiba, she was enraged. This was the underlying reason that she hated Yuugi.

Now that she thought about it, Akiko didn't seem that bad. If she had bruises, she probably knew what pain was and wouldn't dare hurt her sister so recklessly. On the other hand, the bruises could also mean that she was a violent person who got angry at others easily. That wouldn't be good at all. The first one seemed more likely to her, because someone who got angry easily usually got angry because of something that made sense, like someone insulting a friend. She went back to reading her book on Egyptian history and finished up the paragraph before closing it shut.

Yuugi was about to respond to Jounouchi when Akiko was introduced to the class. He smiled as she introduced herself. As she went down the isle to her seat, Yuugi waved at her. He'd properly introduce himself after class or if he had some free time at the end of Chemistry. Perhaps if they got grouped together, he could make friends with her sooner. It wasn't good for a new student to be left out. He barely noticed the bruises on her legs and was paying more attention to her face. She looked kind of cute. Ack! This was an embarrassing thing to think about. He turned slightly red and just got out his books to avoid discussion.

Turned around to see the new student. Sweet, at least it was a girl. However he didn't find himself too attracted to her. She seemed nice, but she wasn't busty like he liked them [[god damn Jonouchi is a perv XD]], and she was rather a tiny girl. Oh well, no matter to him really. The teacher asked them all to bring out their books and be ready to take some notes, they were going to review some note, take some new ones, then perhaps start a group project together. Joey brought out his books and note book. It looked like he was taking notes, but instead he was just doodling to pass the time.

Marik payed no mind to the new girl- he could care less. He read through out the whole introduction and only stopped when notes had to be taken. He rolled his eyes a bit. Chemistry was not his personal favorite. It was rather strange. He didn't know why he tried passing his classes- they were irrelevant to him in the long run. He could just fail and concentrate on his own person goal. But, there was something interesting in learning new things- even if he knew he would never use them. And of course, he would never admit to anyone, nor himself, that he found these certain things interesting. He grumbled a little, not wanting to take notes today. So he just didn't, he listened instead.

Akiko didn't notice Yuugi waving at her or anybody looking at her. She wasn't being rude, she was just nervous as anything. She took out her books, doing as told. Of course, she hid her phone inside of her desk- texting her friends from time to time. Sure she was a good student but she got bored from time to time. When the teacher mentioned 'group project' she cringed. God, today of all days? Really? She sighed and complained in her head. She hoped they would run out of time, thus having to skip the group project.

[[perhaps we could have Lerena, Marik, and Akiko in one group and Renoko, Yuugi, and Jonouchi in another? Or did you have a particular grouping in mind?

Oh I love Astronomy IRL. I figured he would too since the times of the ancients people tried to foretell the future and such. I also feel Marik is the type to enjoy philosophy, but I'm not very good at the subject and I can't expand on it. I wish high schools taugh Astronomy, not even my college teaches it! >:[ ]]
PostPosted: Wed May 06, 2009 10:29 pm

((The grouping sounds fine to me. I was confused at first, but I finally remembered the group projects. xD I know nothing about Chemistry so I can't expand on that subject. Lerena and Renoko are the type that are interested in the supernatural; psychic abilities, magic, witchcraft, the like.

Lol, I had writer's block for Yuugi. I bet you can't tell xD))

Renoko sat at her desk mouthing the words that the teacher said, but she was actually taking notes. She took pride in her intelligence and she wouldn't get anywhere by slacking off. Chemistry actually interested her, because she got to prove that she was responsible with potentially dangerous chemicals. The idea of being a mad scientist without actually doing anything mad also amused her, but she still took her work very seriously. She hoped she would get to put her teamwork skills to good use and find out some important information that would aid her and her sister. Perhaps if she got teamed up with Yuugi, she could ask about his Millennium Puzzle.

Instead of taking notes, Lerena just listened to the teacher. Notes were stupid. The book was right in front of her and he typically taught straight out of it. Only their experiments were taken elsewhere. The teacher often gave them worksheets with directions to follow for the experiment. Since she detested taking notes, she refused to take them. Today was not the day to take notes. She was actually a little angry at Yuugi for being such a pest. Who invited him to school and made him boss anyway? She held back a few snickers that would otherwise be attributed to her fantasies of his death. Perhaps she got angry too easily, but there seemed to be something about Yuugi that annoyed her. Was it his all-too-willing-to-help expression? Or perhaps it was the optimism in his voice that seemed to result from him trying to help someone out. Guys like Yuugi made her sick. Very sick.

He didn't want to take notes today and he couldn't see the board over Renoko's head. Why was she so tall?! He decided to just sit there listening to the teacher. Sometimes that helped more than his notes did. Why did he even need to take notes when the material was in his book? He liked to learn about things, but taking notes was tedious. There was no need to write anything down that he could just look it up in his book later. He usually just referenced his studying to certain pages in the book so he'd be able to study the book instead of his notes.

Joey continued goofing off until he heard the techer say, "Alright, looks like we can do a small group activity." Jonouchi sighed, so much for going through Chemistry and not doing anything. The teacher started calling out names for groups. Each group was made up of three people. "Jonouchi, Yuugi, and Renoko," the teacher called out inbetween the other group roosters.

"Yes!" Jonouchi said to himself- at least Yuugi was in his group. He had no idea what was going on and at least he could ask Yuugi without getting smart a** remarks like 'why weren't you paying attention?' He turned over to Yuugi. "Sweet, you and me are in a group," he said. It was rare the two were grouped together. Supposedly, these were 'random groups' but Jonouchi doubted it. He then looked over at Renoko. She was...... kinda scary. Sure, he respected strong girls, but she just had this attitude about her. Not to mention, she was a little too rough for her own good. Oh well, maybe she's a good lab partner.

Marik held back a glare when he heard 'group activity'. God he loathed these things. Why did he have to be paired up with nitwits in order to do his work? He was perfectly capable of doing things on his own. He kept an ear out for his name- hoping to be in a group with Yuugi so he could further his gullibility into thinking he was his friend. Uh.... he hated that word, 'friend'. There was really no point in having friends, life was all about watching out for one person only- oneself. Besides, he didn't think there was anybody out there that he wanted, or could, connect with. So why try and fail?

"Marik, Lerena, and Akiko," the teacher called out. He glanced around, looking to see who may be looking at him. He didn't know who either girl was. Wait, Lerena..... he peeked behind him. Wasn't that the girl who sat behind him? Now who the hell was the other girl?

Akiko almost groaned outloud when she heard they were getting into groups. Instead she put her head down and groaned in her arms- not making any noise. She peeked her head out and waited to hear her name. Didn't matter who she was put with- all the same to her. Actually, she took that back, she didn't want to be put with any jerky people. She heard her name and had no idea who the other two were. So she looked around to see somebody looking at her. Once all the groups were called everyone got up to meet up with their partners. She stood up and waited for her two lab partners to come and get her. That was the only way to find out who they were.

[[I'm ok with Chemistry, I'm more of a Biology person. :3 haha, no problem :3]]

Yuugi felt slightly nervous. One of those girls from earlier was in his group, and the more obnoxious one at that. How was he going to get some cooperation from someone who obviously hated him? He watched as Renoko made her way over to him and Jounouchi. At least Jounouchi was in his group. He doubted that Renoko would try anything funny with Jounouchi around, but she still made him nervous.

So, she was paired up with a dweeb and perhaps the most stupid Millennium Item wielder. Not a single girl in her group; how sickening. She walked over to stand next to Yuugi. "Hey, Yuugi. What's up?" she asked darkly. "Let's get this straight, Jounouchi, Yuugi; as long as the two of you are with me, you won't fail this assignment. However, I prefer that you two at least contribute to the project at hand. And Jounouchi, Yuugi and I will handle the chemicals. You just give us the directions. Do I make myself clear?" she said with a creepy smirk. "No offense or anything, but I don't think you're quite responsible enough to handle the chemicals. They're a bit dangerous."

He sighed. "What gives this girl the right to boss you or Jounouchi around like that?" Atemu asked. "It doesn't seem very mature of her at all. She seems a bit stuck-up."

"Uh, Renoko, this is a group project. This means that ummmm...it means...it means that Jounouchi and I are doing this project with you. You don't necessarily call all the shots." said Yuugi nervously, secretly agreeing with Atemu's reasoning. This girl kind of reminded him of Kaiba, but it didn't seem like she noticed the resemblance between the two of them or they might have become acquaintances.

"Oh, I know that, Yuugi. Jounouchi gets to tell us what to do for this project. I think he'd be a little more appreciative that I gave him the best job. He barely has to do any work after all." replied Renoko.

She eyed Malik for a moment, but then walked over to Akiko. "Hey, Akiko. Marik's all the way over here, so follow me. Unfortunately, I don't know him at all so I don't know what he's like." she led Akiko over to where Malik was sitting. "Okay, you two; I'm clueless when it comes to Chemistry, because well, it's a stupid subject. Just tell me what to do and the school won't get blown up."

Jonouchi didn't really have a problem with little contribution to the project. However, he did have a problem with the way Renoko said it. "Hey, I'm responsible enough," he said pointing at himself. A few girls giggled when they heard him say that. Jonouchi turned around to them and made a face, damn giggling girls. "But.... that's the best part of the whole class, messing with chemicals...." he said a little bit more bummed out then irritated. Of course, his choice of words just proved Renoko right.

Akiko smiled when one of her lab partners came up to her. She seemed really nice too- so that was good. "Ok," she said nodding and grabbing what she needed. She sat with the two and waited for the paper to be handed to their group. Thank goodness for Lerena, she was the first in their group to stand up and say something. Akiko giggled a little, "I got a pretty good handle on this, don't worry." Akiko looked over at Marik, he didn't seem too into the subject either- but he also didn't seem like trying to do this project. She started reading the outline to see what everyone could do.

Marik looked up to see two girls- they must be the two in his group. He didn't bother greeting either of them, he just waited to be told what to do. When Lerena mentioned blowing up the school, he smirked and added, "Would make things a whole lot more interesting around here." He glanced over at Yuugi's group. Whenever he's around him or his friends, he puts on his 'nice act' but that didn't mean he had to do it with everyone else in this school. He slouched in his chair a bit, glaring at Akiko. Would she just finish up reading and tell him what to do already? He just wanted to get this thing over and done with. Marik continually cursed at this whole idea of group projects.

Finishing the overview, she saw that they were going to have to mix chemicals, heat it up with the bunsen burner, and record results. "Ok...." she said figuring outthings each person could do. "We're going to need someone to measure chemicals, someone to stir and heat the mixture- keeping an eye on it, and someone to record results and give out instructions," she said looking at both of them. She certainly wasn't going to give out jobs. "I don't care which job I get, how about you two pick first?" she said to both of them. Even though she was shy, she knew this had to be done- and since both of her lab partners weren't too into the subject, she had to get the ball rolling. She wasn't much of a leader, but she was very good at solving problems. She spoke with a soft voice, direct and to the point, but still kind.
