 Tenkou mitsuru tokoro
ni ware wa ari,
yomi no mon hiraku
tokoro ni nanji ari! The rain came down at a heavy yet steady pace, quenching the thirst of the grassy fields. A chilly breeze accompanied the downpour, but it was just that--a rainstorm. A pleasant, gloomy, wet rainstorm.
The favourite weather of Noble Symphonia's anti-social caretaker.
Ally's bright red galoshes padded across the drenched grass as she carried herself aimlessly. Music pounded through her headphones and she bobbed her head to the beat, lost in her own little world. Freezing fingers played with the frayed edges of her striped scarf as she hummed along with the current tune ringing in her covered ears. Bespectacled eyes cast skyward, Ally let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding. A small cloud emerged from her lips as she breathed. Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi!

"Gah, it's a little too cold for a walk..."
Stuffing his hands into his deep pockets, John walked out in his rainy day attire. Black as any of his other outfits, he was stylish and more importantly, warm. He used his Goti Clips as earmuffs, protecting his ears from theodd gust of wind. Walking out into the field, he quickly spotted the quietest member of their little organization.
Walking up to Ally, he paused for a moment before tapping her on the shoulder.

tokoro ni nanji ari! Ally jumped slightly at the sudden contact, whirring around to face whomever decided to touch her. She almost assumed a battle stance before realizing exactly who it was; who could mistake the bright green eyes and signature messy hair--even if it was matted down by water?
Her cold hands gingerly gripped her large white and black headphones as she slid them down to rest around her scarfed neck. The bass of the music faintly pumped from the speakers. "Hello, captain," she greeted quietly, brushing wet bangs from her face. Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi!

"Please, that's far too formal. You can just call me by my name."
John brushed some hair from his frump of a hairdo and smiled. She seemed jumpy, for some reason. Good thing she had registered that it was him, otherwise he'd be wondering why his head was rolling on the ground.
"What'cha up to?" he asked lightly.

ni ware wa ari,
yomi no mon hiraku
tokoro ni nanji ari! A faint smile gracing her lips, Ally averted her gaze to the ground. Little worms started weaving their way out of the soil...a common occurance when it rained. "Just taking a walk...thinking about things," she said rather vaguely, something of which she had become an expert.
She tapped at a bare patch of mud with the tip of her rubber boots. "What brings you out here?" Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi!

"I was looking for you." he replied honestly. "I figured that since some of the members were gathering, you'd try to avoid it."
John clenched his fists in his pockets, trying to keep his fingertips warm. He wouldn't mind using a bit of fire magic, but it would be impractical and dangerous; he could set the whole field ablaze.

tokoro ni nanji ari! "I see," Ally whispered, tucking soaked strands of raven behind her ear. Her dark eyes still focused on the ground, trying to see through lenses covered in rain droplets. "That's...not quite the whole reason," she admitted as she rocked back and forth on her feet. "But that's...part of it." Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi!

"Didn't want to run into a certain someone?" he asked rhetorically.
John sighed lightly. Sometimes Ally's most defining trait was her unrelenting timidness, especially around certain people. Smiling, he patted her shoulder.
"Well, how long are you gonna stay out here?"

tokoro ni nanji ari! "I...don't know. For a little longer, at least," she muttered, giving her shoulders a slight shrug. John knew her so well...though, that wasn't really much of a surprise. He was one of the only people she felt truly comfortable around. "I promise to be in before dark," Ally added as an afterthought, finally taking a moment to glance up at her leader. Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi!

"Alright, just don't freeze out here, okay?"
With a very brotherly air, John wrapped one arm around Ally's shoulder and gave her a quick hug before leaving her to her thoughts. His own thoughts concerned where to get some grub; he was hungry. As if that were a surprise.

yomi no mon hiraku
tokoro ni nanji ari! Tired eyes watched as John grew smaller in the distance. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she rested her headphones over her ears once more. "You're too kind to me, John...," she muttered to the rainy air, turning on her heel to continue her walk across the grounds. Ally pulled her hands further into the sleeves of her sweater, curling her numb fingers in the soft fabric to warm them up slightly.
A soft melody penetrated her ears, and a few musical notes left her vocal chords in unison with the lyrics of the song. She sang as she strolled, her voice growing slightly in volume. No one was around to hear her, except maybe the worms that wiggled at her feet. They made for a great audience.
Ally continued to wander aimlessly through the fields, no destination in mind. Just like always. Ideyo, kami no ikazuchi!
