As a pup he hated packs because of how they treated him, and didn't understand anything about them. He now knew about packs, their ranks, and the job of each rank. He knew that sickness and injury may make you weak in a bad situation but it didn't make you dead. You could still recover and survive, even from loosing limbs. Mistakes were just that, mistakes. They were not an unforgivable act or a big deal. He wasn't ashamed to admit he had been wrong about many things before. The cold Northerner attitude famous in this region had changed in him. He had learned the values of team work, friendship, and trust. He couldn't go back to the cold, wary, detached, anti-social creature he had been before. Adapting back into Northerner life would be difficult at first but he was sure he'd survive. This was his home.
Perhaps he had been down south for too long, he needed to relearn how to smell and track things here. He was a little lost and had stumbled onto a pack's territory without knowing it.

 Molly was still getting used to belonging to pack as she trudge through the snow. She wasn't sure what to do with herself since there were so few in the pack so she often went on walks around the border of the pack's territory. She was doing just this when she came across some foot prints. She sniffed the ground and air around them trying to see if it was Suicide, Camisado, or one of their kids. However the scent wasn't one she knew. She became alert at the thought of someone trespassing or that it might be someone who means harm. She looked in the direction the prints went in trying to see if the helix in question was still in sight. The scent was fresh but no one was there. Frowning Molly began following the prints.

Kane was beginning to wonder if he was becoming paranoid. He kept feeling like he was being followed. He kept glancing over his shoulder. Kane couldn't smell anything but then again, if he was being followed they were down wind of him. His ears perked backwards, trying to listen over the sounds of the wind.
Rather than shrug it off as 'just a feeling' he decided it was better to be safe than sorry. He jumped into a soft snow drift, letting the snow bury him. It was cold, he needed to grow his winter coat back in. Keeping still he allowed his red eyes to gaze out at the tundra. For once he was glad he was white in color. It blended in so well, probably his saving grace as a pup.
He questioned his own maturity though. He was hiding like a pup, when he should be out there confronting whoever or whatever was out there, if there was anyone following him at all! He decided he would act more adult and reveal himself once he knew what he was up against. If it was that much a danger he could always remain hidden, unless he was found.

Molly was still following the tracks and scent when she noticed a change in the smell. It wasn't quite the same anymore. Almost has a dash of fear or something close to it. She paused as she looked around, still a ways from the 'intruder'.
Shaking her head she decided to keep going, just be more cautious as she went. She moved forward focusing once again on the tracks.
She soon came upon where Kane hid himself and paused as she looked at the tracks. They led a little off to the side and then disappeared completely. The helix she was following either had wings and flew, which is really hard to do here, or they jumped. Looking around she didn't see anyone or even the little red dots peeking out of the snow.
"Who's there?! Who ever you are show yourself! You're trespassing on my pack's territory!" She yelled out.

Kane waited in the snow. At last his instincts proved correct. Someone had been following him! A black female, with the body posture of a beta. She looked like she had scars on her nose. She smelled alone, he relaxed at that. It wasn't an entire pack after him. Her voice called him out, commanding him to appear. He accepted the order and stood up out of the snow as if he were made of it. He was proud his Northerner tricks still worked. She hadn't seen him.
"My name is Kane." He kept a safe distance, in case he had to escape. His Northerner attitude was different but it was still there. "I didn't smell a border. I left the North for a time and I guess my nose dulled down south." He explained. He was mature enough to accept that weakness didn't always mean death, so now he wasn't afraid to speak of dulled senses.
"My travels led me far in my effort to earn my rank in adulthood. Now I have returned to find my home again. I am somewhat lost though. Would you show me back to your pack's borders?" He asked. He hoped she wouldn't attack, she was the first beta he had met in a long time. He hoped to learn from her, not fight or run in fear of bloodshed.

Molly stepped back when the white and red male suddenly appeared out of the snow. She looked at him seriously for a moment, debating on if he was a threat or problem. "You blend in nicely with the snow Kane." She said starting to put down her guard, "I'm Molly and this is the Northern Downpour territory."
She shook her head at what he said about the border. "I don't think Suicide or Camisado marked the border recently." She said, "So don't worry about it."
"Well I guess welcome back to your home territory." She said nodding, "You can see the entire territory from here. The hill over there is the other side of the territory and the five pine trees over there are another border." She pointed to each marker, the hill being the furthest away and the trees being nearby. "It'll just be quicker to take you to the grove if you wish to leave the territory. You were almost there." She said with a chuckle.
