i read something that humans could die out in a couple of thousands of years by the DNA endocrines will weaken over time then break I'm not scared since
it won't happen anytime soon is that possible?

Then this would surely be true for all species if it is to do with DNA. I recon that we will all kill ourselves before that happens.

Even if the line doesn't die out, we won't be the same species in a few thousand years. There's a lot going on to alter our DNA -- I think I read recently that human evolution has been accelerating recently, though the changes are less obvious on the outside (things like brain function have been changing a lot).

Alot Of People Say that The Sun Is Going to... like Move into the Earth And Pretty much burn us to shreads... Im Kindof Beliving that. It doesnt make Much sense. neutral

I think that if many other species have died out over the years, humans will eventually die out as well. It's common knowledge to think that.

of course it is going to happen its not like humans are not going to be like the other 99% of all othe spieces that are dead already
i have 3 theories that could make humans extinct relatively soon
1: nuclear war
2: loss of resources
3: stupidity, just plain stupidity

I think that by then we would move out from earth don't you think?

We do have the ability to kill ourselves any time now
But we also have the ability, and the desire, to survive and not kill eachother
@Doonez: Don't worry about the sun killing us. There is no way you're going to live the few million years in order to get singed by the sun.
In a million years, if we survive, we'll be regarded as a different species probably

Humans will eventually die out considering that we are not the only species of Hominids that have existed. True, all of the other species died out a long time ago, but the sheer chance that a species would survive every sort of environmental and evolutionary change is just astronomical.
I for one think that a massive environmental change is what will do the human race in, but if we keep going like we are it's quite possible we'll just kill ourselves off.

It could be disastrous for our planet, and the effect on us as a species.

i wouldnt doubt if humans were to die off from a dna defect in the next thousand years or so but i imagine we will nuke ourselves off the face of the planet before then

We've had the ability to wipe ourselves out several dozen times over for more than forty years, now. We're in the process of doing slowly every day. After all, as Michael Crichton said in Jurassic Park, "We're not trying to save the world- it will be here long after we're gone. We're trying to keep it habitable for us."

Actually, I'm pretty sure DNA cannot last millions of years. Other materials like bone tissue is much more dense and resistant.
