His music makes me feel all tingly inside.

What would you do if you met him in person?

I dunno, from an interview I heard about he has become a cynical man. He apparantly said he is never going to do a Boingo song ever again because it ruined his hearing because of the thing you put in your ear so you can hear yourself over the cheers. He also said he hated doing Corpse Bride. All of this being said, if I met him I would still want to talk to him about his composition style and how he starts his music. You see I want to be a composer myself, Danny's made a huge influence on me.

I honestly don't know what I'd do. Danny himself makes me all tingly inside, and I've never admired anyone half as much as I do him, never mind seeing them in person. I'd probably do what I usually do, which is stand back, far away, and take a picture or two.
Assuming I worked up the courage to talk to him [which I probably would, because I never would forgive myself otherwise], I'd probably end up being a band nerd and asking him if he really did play the trombone. Which I'm fairly certain he did, but, you know, it's always better to hear something from him.

Oh! And, of course, I'd have to kindly ask for him to sign something. Preferably a part of my body. whee

So, you want to be a composer. That's pretty awesome! You play instruments, then?

Whoo!! Awesome! I've been playing trombone for about five and a half years now. I'm in jazz band, and we occasionally have to write out a solo [which is silly, because it's supposed to be improv, which gives me a perfectly good reason to be horrible], and.. yeah. That's enough composing for me. talk2hand
But that's awesome! I've never really met anyone that aspired to be a composer. So, like, what kind of music do you write? Planning to go into movie composition?

Teehee, trombones are cool! I try to write all sorta music. But Classical and Romantic Piano Solos are the easiest. Scoring films would, in fact, probebly be what I would want to do, because now adays the only way a... music...person... can become well known is either by joining a band or music group of some sort or writing for movies, or writing for plays. I am getting better, but am horrible at writing songs with words. Plays would be difficult to write for because in plays music is not just a thing in the background, it is like a character of it's own, although it would be very neat to do that. So, yea, scoring films is po'l'y what I want to do. 3nodding

Ah, that's cool. Scoring for plays would be amazing. I love musicals. whee And I know what you mean about getting your name out there. The first composers I think of are Danny Elfman, John Williams, Howard Shore, etc. ...that's kind of.. weird. eek

And I am sad about the fight between Shore and Jackson, Edward Shore wont be scoring King Kong sad .
