Dude, I just had one of the worst dungeon runs of my (Warcraft) life.

I got killed at the start of the first boss room in Anub, and ended up spending like 5 minutes dead before they cleared the room and rezzed me. Then, for the boss fight, I accidentally got shut out of the platform and had to sit and watch the whole fight.

I was unhappy.

That's nothing. Yesterday, I was tanking with my Prot, and this one mob made us wipe before because he uses Fear. So, I ran to go get him and bring him back into another room to kill him, so if he did use fear we wouldnt aggro the entire room. As I'm backing up, this Dk run up and stals all the aggro, 1 second later he fears us, and we all run into the entire gang of baddies and wipe.

I said "Dude, I was trying to pull him into the next room."
Him: "Then you need to pull him back."
Me: "I was trying to."
Him: "well, you're the tank."
Me: "I cant hold aggro if you and your pet start doing massive damage." (I was trying to hit as little as possible because if you hit him too much he used the aforementioned Fear.)
Him: "CORN DOG!! LOL"

Then I left the party. The priest had Dc'd and we had already lost our lock. Absolutely no excuse. I didnt mind that we had wiped.....again. But blaming it on me, when I'm trying not to get us all killed. I hate it when other players who are not tanks, try to tank. He was following me everywhere and not staying where he was supposed to. scream

That's why I stopped tanking. I used to play pally, then warrior, but I got sick to death of idiot hunters who left their pets on auto-provoke.

Nelfs are especially bad about that for some reason, and they like to drag the mobs they grab back to where the healers are so they can pick up aggro the first time a heal spell is cast and the mobs start killing the healer.

Even had one run into the next room and bring back a whole room of mobs with him right after a tough pull, while the healer was still rezzing 2 people.

My story was not about my worst dungeon experience though, it was about my worst performance personally.

I been having a lot of connection problems so the last two days have been rough. Sethekk Halls was so bad for me, I kept lagging and getting frozen. Then I was having the same problem in Mana Tombs, where the Corn Dog Death Knight thing happened, so that's two isntances I still need the achievement for, and two instances where the gear is not designed for me.

That's another thing I have a huge problem with. There is no warrior designed gear in levels 60-70. EVERYTHING is plate drops at all has agility. Freaking Pally's have enough sets as it is, I need that freaking agility bonus detracting from Stam and Strength. confused

Lol... once you hit the 70s it changes. There all the plate has intellect bonus xp

And, other than a couple disasters in dungeons, the past few days have been very productive for me. I started the week with a 73 main, and I just hit 76.

If I didnt have 6 toons I needed to level Snoore would be much higher. Well I got a run through DM last night, so I'm 59 on Glum. One more level to go and I can get my carcass off to Outland. I'm so sick of all of the WPL and EPL quests and I've been doing PvP to kill time while trying to get a group for instances to level. Not very productive, but..... xp

I dont like going to Outland unless you are 60, you can't pick up quests and your toon just isn't ready for it, imo.

The experience and gear in Northrend is a huge step up, too.

I know what you mean about the extra toons. I've put in enough play time to have a couple 80s by now, and I'm only just now getting close to having my first :~/

AT least as a tank you'll have an easier time getting in groups, though.

I just bought my first flying mount today biggrin

Now I just need to save another 912 gold toward cold weather flying so I can use him in Northrend.

Congrats! My guild just infromed Josh and I that we need to pick a main, and start thinking about raids and instance work. Guild have 4 level 80 hunters and a lvl 80 mage. So I need to level my healers and Snorre because everyone needs a tank.

To be honest, by the time you reach 80 you'll probably have outgrown that guild, if 5 lvl 80s is all they have. Small guilds are decent for leveling, since you don't rely on them too much during that process. At 80, though, you're going to want a guild that can furnish 25 man raid groups.

Maybe that's not your situation, but I find it to be true with nearly everybody. Especially if you want to raid.

Speaking of reaching 80, I'm one step closer. Just hit 77 last night.

I can't leave, even if I wanted to (whioch I do most of the time). I've been with the guild for quite sometime, and I've become quite fond of one of the co-owners, Liale. She'd be terribly hurt if I ever left them. They've gotten much better as time was worn on. Liale, a rogue, is almost to 80. Slowly and surely we'll get there and they've been really helpful with running me and Josh through instances whenever we've needed it. Jan, our mage, spent a few hours one night running me through Stratholme. Or asking me to jump onto Glum so I can accomanpy them to DM.

Good people. I'm not going to abandon this group just because they can't fill a raid bracket.
