In my opinion, all topics have officially been over-discussed.

Perhaps...maybe we should open up some official duels in a guild wide competition.

Marie the Fallen Perhaps...maybe we should open up some official duels in a guild wide competition. The only thing I could suggest is that when the new yugioh championship game for the ds comes out we could try to set up duels over wifi. I know that this may be expensive for alot of ppl, but beyond that there is no other options beside apprentice. I wish that the person that ran gamezilla didn't shut down his site over a year go. It hosted online yugioh games and tournaments, even had a point system to keep track of your wins and loses. Man I miss that site sad

There are messenger systems. I doubt that anyone in this guild would be willing to cheat for a game and to promote the guild.

More people are cheaters than you realize. The simple fact is, people don't like to lose. It's human nature. Efforts to minimize cheating will be taken into account. - Decklists can and should be submitted to all officials who will be overlooking the event as judges. - All matches should be submitted in a copied and paste format, quoted, referring which messenger screen name is who. - All questions and rulings during duels are verified with an official in charge of the event, not made on the player's own terms. Essentially, following the proper steps will limit all cheating efforts to that of stacking. Repeated stacking is fairly obvious to follow, and if and when seen in the dueling logs that one is stacking, action will be taken. People cheat. I will not deny it. However, it's a shame that the captain will not trust his own guild more than I.

However, it's a shame that the captain will not trust his own guild more than I. You put far more thought into this than I would have imagined. I must admit I've only IM dueled a couple times, I quit on the assumption that my opponent's were always cheating. If IM dueling is the way we're going with this, we should try to make it a 3-way conversation so that the 'judge' is able to view the entire duel and jump into the conversation whenever a card is being misused or a rule isn't being followed.

Unfortunately, that is not always possible. It should always be taken into account that Gaia is a global website. Unless anyone wishes to release information on where they live, you could be trying to arrange a duel with someone halfway around the world wondering why they're never on.
An appointment for a judge to be present for the duel cannot always be arranged. That is why rather than have a judge there or have no duel, it is best to report the problem directly to them if and when it occurs. If an illegal ruling and/or play occurs, the best course of action would be to inflict future penalties. Those penalties in mind are those carried out in high-level tournaments: game penalty, match penalty, and disqualification.
And Captain? If I see rulings carried out improperly, I will be upset.

You can call me Skull, don't let my title as Captain bother you, it's just a title. Anyway, since you obviously know a lot, why not be a judge yourself? Or were you hoping to gauge your skills against other guild members? I'm not much of a serious tournment competitor. I play for fun, but mostly, I'm a collector. As such, I likely won't be judging this tournament. I could see myself being involved though.

A position held by others does not bother me. It's only what I chose to address you as.
I will take the offer as a judge official.
