Asami was new to the land, extremely new to this land especially. She was here, because she followed her mate to his father's pride. It wasn't the best of prides, but Asami didn't care as long as she was with her mate, Takumi. With a playful look on her face, she began to walk around. With each step, she grew further away from the pride. "I'll find my way back later." Asami told herself as she walked along. It was easy to tell where their king had been. Asami was more of a free spirit, to do whatever she pleased and always have fun with her life. Not many in the pride thought quite like she did.

Kalama knew the land well. Her white paws carried her slowly across the land. She had a mental note to keep as far away from that previous pride as she could. Last time, things didn't turn out so well. Kalama sighed as she walked along, her mainly orange tail flicked along behind her as she thought about her pride. It would be the greatest pride in the world! Everyone would envy her pride and only the leopards could join... hopefully that would be how it turned out. Kalama shook her head to rid herself of the negative thoughts. Then let her light blue eyes squint and look around the hot, dry land.

Asami noticed something in the distance and gave a playful smile as she looked around and found a thick tree. She giggled quietly as she jumped onto one of the tree branches that held her high enough that the other wouldn't see her, but low enough where she could pounce. With a playful smile, she crouched low to the branch and prepared herself to pounce as soon as the white figure came close enough to the tree. She probably would've made an excellent hunter for the pride, but was too childish to actually want to kill her food... she'd rather play with it. As the younger leopard approached the tree, Asami bit her bottom lip to keep from laughing.

Kalama noticed the tree in the distance and slowly walked over to it. It seemed to be the only protection from the cruel son at the moment. Panting softly, the young leopardess sat under the tree and dug her claws into the dirt as she tried to find a place to lay. Suddenly, she caught the scent of someone around and quickly glanced over her shoulder then in front of her. Where were they? There was no wind blowing, so they couldn't be that far away. Her orange tail stopped flicking and the leopardess tensed completely.

Once Asami noticed the other tense, she crouched completely and tensed her muscles for a second. After her target stopped moving, Asami leaped from the tree. The two rolled a little then Asami landed with Kalama pinned under her. Asami gave the other female a harsh look, though on the inside she was laughing. She growled a little, though it was more of a playful growl than anything and let her tail sway quickly behind her. Everything about the older leopardess was playful, except the look on her face.

"Oof!" Kalama fell to the ground and rolled a little to try and get away from whatever had just fallen on her. When her paws were pressed against the ground she wiggled wildly from under the other leopard. "Let me go!" Why would a leopard attack another leopard?! Fear struck Kalama as she tried to continue to wiggle away from the female leopard. Maybe she was trained by cheetahs or lions to be cruel. After a few more seconds of struggling, she was free and took a few quick steps away from the other leopard.

Asami jumped off the other then broke into laughter. Her dark green eyes filled with tears from laughing so hard. "You should've seen your face!" The leopardess slowly let her laughter die down to just a giggle as she watched the other. "I'm Asami. What's your name?" Her tail flicked behind her as she smiled at the other. She was so much like a cub at heart, it was shocking to her at times that she had a mate, especially a mate like Takumi. Her brown ears flicked towards the other female as she waited for her answer.

The laughter confused Kalama for a few seconds, until the other leopard spoke. She sighed and smiled a little at the thought of how fearful she must have looked and at the fact that this was a friendly leopard. When the other spoke of her name, Kalama listened then smiled and answered her question. "I'm Kalama." Her light blue eyes looked the other over. She had no scars and seemed extremely happy to be alive. Those were the kinds of leopards she wanted in her pride.

Asami let her dark green eyes look around. Like a cub, she often found herself not paying attention to the other she was talking to. At the sound of the female's voice, Asami flicked her ears and eyes towards her. The name was now stuck in the leopardess's head. "I'm new around here. My mate and I moved here a little bit ago. He said something about staying with his father." She shrugged her white shoulders and flicked her tail playfully as she tried to think up something to do. Maybe a game...

Kalama listened to the other female and decided to tell her a little about her own past. "Oh, well I've been here my whole life. Raised by my mother and father and my grandmother. They were all very loving and watched out for my siblings and I. I had six siblings, only one was a boy." Her ears flicked a little when she noticed Asami looking around a little. Was someone there or was the other just looking around to learn the landscape? Kalama decided on the second one and remained calm.

Asami gave the other female a playful look then crouched slightly. "Would you like to play a game? Maybe chase or something!" She had a playful look on her face and looked just like a cub, only bigger. Her tail swayed wildly behind her as she thought up different games in case the female didn't like the chase idea. "Maybe we could combine the things you usually do with a game of some sort. Make your day more fun." At that idea, Asami stood up right with her tail still wildly swaying behind her, hoping the other would say yes to a game.

Kalama watched the other with a smile across her face. Her tail flicked a little as she thought about her mother and herself when Kalama was younger. She smiled at the memories of her asking her mother to play with her and her mother joining in. "Would you like to join my soon to be pride?" She couldn't keep herself from asking any longer. This female seemed perfect for the pride, she was upbeat and would be perfect for teaching the cubs and others of the pride to learn to have fun every day of their lives.

Asami gave the other leopardess a curious look. That didn't quite answer her question about the game. "Um... I'll have to pass. My mate and I are in a pride with his father." She said with a nod and her tail now laid on the ground behind her. The tip of her tail flicked up every now and then as she tried to think. "I'm sure my mate wouldn't want to leave his father's pride." Asami nodded her head then sat down in front of Kalama.

Kalama smiled at the other and nodded her head when the other leopard spoke. Her light blue eyes glanced around and she decided that she wanted someone like this female in her pride. Someone upbeat, happy and fun to be around. "Hopefully you enjoy your mate's father's pride." She said as her tail flicked behind her.

Asami, growing bored with this conversation, decided that it would be best if she headed back towards the pride that was a little while away from where she was at the moment. Her mate was probably looking for her and she didn't want to have him worry too much, if he was even worrying. "I should probably go back to my mate soon." She said with a smile then turned back towards the way she came. "Good-bye!'
