A three story inn on the outskirts of a harbor town called Krausshen. Krausshen is reknown of its exports of a very particular type of fish found only here but their trade is small. The town has a few stores. A boat shop called Higen's. There is a weapon smith owned by a very old man named Victor who's looking to sell the place since his only son left for the capital to become a lawyer. There are other shops scattered about. There is a large warehouse where most trades go about, and not just for fish. Its basically an indoor market since it rains in Krausshen 90% of the time which would account for its lack of travelers and its mild swamp lands to the north. Ocean to the south, east and west has partial swamp/forest and the main roads.
The Sea Lion:
Upon entering, the bar sits to the right and about a dozen or so tables surround the small hearth to the left. The back room situated under the stairs is the kitchen and a backdoor leading to an alley that winds its way down to the beach. The stairs are straight ahead from the front door.
The second floor: 8 bed rooms, each with two beds. four rooms on the right and four on the left. Each room has a bathroom. A small staircase sits at the end of the second floor.
Third floor: Two bed rooms. One for the owner and the second is unknown.

Lucca sits at one of the many tables in the middle of the room. On the table before her rests a deck of playing cards, spread out as though she were playing some sort of unknown game. Her long silver hair hangs free and slightly damp down her back and a black cloak drips a little from its resting place on the seat next to her. Her strange purple top-hat with its unique symbols rests on the cloak.
Its a slow night and very few people are there. The rain outside pounds against the windows; the only real source of sound for the place other then the crackle of the fire.
Lucca taps her finger against one of the cards as her purple eyes move along a few others. Her hands are covered with black fingerless gloves but her nail are long and shimmer a little in the light from the fire. She lifts up the card she had been tapping and sets it against another card. Folding her fingers under her chin, she stares at the cards once more.

He pushes the doors open, his jean jacket pulled over his head but as he enters he drops his left hand with his jacket in tow. "Damned weather." he hisses. His voice is young but carries a thick accent. He shakes his jacket a little and heads towards the small bar. "Give me a gin and tonic." he mutters to the bartender and then lets his blue eyes roam the bar. The bartender eyes him rather reluctantly but does get him the drink. "Thanks." he tosses a few coins down and sips the drink, his eyes now landing on the white haired woman playing with her cards.

Lucca lifts her eyes from her cards and smiles at the small crowd gathered around her. "The secret to this game is not to think about it." her voice is calm, tricky even but smooth as she speaks with a smile. She shuffles the cards before her quickly and efficiently.
"The rules are simple, match the two cards placed face-up on the table." she displays the cards in her hands, revealing them to be two decks instead of one. "You pick the two cards and I'll match them." she slides the two decks to the man before her. "Would you like to try?"
The man frowns. "This is stupid. You'll never match them." he mutters.
Lucca smiles. "A bet then? She pulls out a coin purse and places a nice sum on the table. "If I get the two cards, this is mine, if I don't, you win."
The man eyes the amount and nods. "Agreed." he shuffles through his pockets pulling out a matching sum. "This aught to be the easiest amount I've ever won." he jokes.
"So the game has begun! Shuffle the cards good man and then pick two." Lucca lets the man crudely shuffle the deck of cards before all the patrons who have gathered about them.

Chris leans forward a little from his spot against the bar. "Well now...this ought to be interesting." He sets the half-full cup on the bar and moves around the crowd to get a better look. He needed to be able to see the 'trick' as it was played out just in case he ever needed to perform it for himself in the future. To Chris, this 'game' seemed like an easy way to make money and scam people.

The man picks out two cards: 2 of Clubs and the Queen of Spades. He shuffles the cards again and places the pile before Lucca.
"You only get one chance to pick the two cards." the man warns. "And do it quickly, I want my money."
Lucca spreads the deck, still face down, over the table. "The 2 of Clubs...Queen of Spades" She stares down at the cards and then looks up at the man, smiling. She pulls two cards out of the pile without looking at them and then pulls together the rest of the cards into a pile.
"Well, show us the cards..." the man stares at the two cards she picked with anticipation.
Lucca picks up the larger pile and flips them over, revealing that every card there is either a 2 of Clubs or Queen of Spades, an impossibility when the deck a moment ago was two full decks. She flips over her two cards, showing one 2 of Club and 1 Queen of Spades.
"You cheated!" the man stammers as a few of his buddies laughs at him. "I want a rematch...someone get two decks of cards! She cheated me!" Lucca flips the entire deck over in her hands, twice. The second time, she shows him the two decks to be full again.
"No cheating. It's a skill, my dear. I've won." She takes all the cards but doesn't touch the money. "Try again?"
The man's face is red as an apple and he shuffles in his pockets for more money to match what is on the table. Lucca smiles, pushing the cards, face up, towards him.

Chris is intrigued. He had been watching the entire time and saw not opening for her to have made a switch of some sort. He stepped forward. "Wait, let me try." he pushes the angry man back and stands before the girl. He shuffles into his pocket and pulls out the sum required and places it on the table. He was sure that if he caught how the act was done, he could keep his money. Though it was smarter to watch a few more times, Chris was hot-headed and arrogant enough to just jump in. He shuffles the cards easily, smoothly and pulls out two cards: The ace of spades and the ace of diamonds. He hands the cards face down back to the woman and takes extra notes now.

Lucca smiles at the young man, seeing his brash and over-confident nature.
"The Ace of Spades and the Ace of Diamonds. Looks like good fortune to me." she spreads the deck out, face down and pulls out two cards.
She does the same thing she had done to the man previous the youth. She folds the cards back together and flips them over, showing everyone of the cards to be either the ace of spades or ace of diamonds. The two cards she picked out were one of each.
"Ah, no such luck tonight." she just sits there. "Try again?" She inquires curiously.

Chris frowned. He had seen no opening and felt no magic in this act. Folding her arms across his chest, he shakes his head. "I know a good trick when I see it." he nods. "Instead of playing, I'll resign for the night." he knocks on the table twice and moves away to the bar. He still couldn't help but feel like he'd miss something and even up close he wasn't going to see what it was. Instead, at the bar he ordered another drink and then moved to a close table to the girl to drink it and watch.

Lucca nods to the young man and watches him leave before turning to the next participate.
This 'game' she plays actually goes on for a few more rounds before there are no more takers. At that point, Lucca pulls out her coin purse and shuffles almost all the coin into. She hands out a few spare coin to a few patrons still near her and pays for drinks for the entire bar.
She leans back in her chair, ordering for herself some mint tea. Stretching out her arms, she looks to the man sitting close to her and smiles.
"Can't figure it out, can you?" she asks, curiously.

He shakes his head. "Nope, wish I could say I had some idea." he stands from his table and moves to sit across from her, his drink in hand. "You wont tell me either so I suppose I should bring up another topic to discuss with you." he finishes off his glass and waves to the bartender to order another. "I'm Chris by the way."

"I'm Lucca. Pleasure to meet you." Lucca raises her hand to tip her hat but stops seeing as her hat in sitting on the chair next to her. She shrugs and smiles.
"What brings you to this little town, Chris? Business or pleasure?" She pauses. "I couldn't imagine it would be for pleasure so what business do you have here?"

"Business?" Chris hesitates. "Well I'm here to meet someone, a trade actually. I arrived early as they wont be here for a few days." His eyes move over her form and then to the hat and coat sitting on the chair before returning them to her. "And you're here for business I see. A traveling magician, perhaps?"

Lucca smiles. "Only when I need entertainment but no, I am no traveling magician." she sips her tea, grinning.
"Actually, if everyone of those patrons were to look into their pockets, not a coin would be missing; including yourself." she states as a matter of fact. "I include coin to make it interesting; to see how high someone is will to go but I don't need the coin and always return it after the game is through."

Chris just watches her in mute confusion. "Seriously?" he reaches into his pocket and sure enough there is the money. "Well I'll be..." he turns to watch Lucca and orders another drink before he's even finished with the first one. "You are an interesting character." he looks towards the door a moment. He then stands. "Ah, we shall be having company." He could hear the sound of hooves outside, drawing closer.
