So I'm heading off to college next year, and I think I would like to march. Only problem? The school I'm going to doesn't march my main instrument, flute/piccolo. It's a brass band w/ saxes. (Losers.) I play some trumpet, I've been last trumpet in my school's jazz band for two years, but I'm REALLY scared of the audition. I don't know what to play. I've also been trying an alto sax a bit, but I think it'd be a better bet to stick with trumpet, although I'm not very good. I'm not even sure I'll have time for marching band.

-Did you march in college?
-How were the auditions?
-Know any not-too-difficult trumpet solos that would still give me a chance? Think showing off technically rather than range, I can go low but not very high. But technical work is (slightly) easier for me.
