Just wondering, since it seems unbalanced PvP is the biggest issue around WoW nowadays, at least on my PvP server it is. What do you guys think?
I think it's a tie between Rogues, and ret paladins. Obviously Retardins need nerfed in my opinion, but Rogues have enough with their advantage of being invisible to everyone. Shadow Priests I heard got nerfed, and warriors.
Shaman are easy to kill alone but can get dangerous if you don't use ANY form of CC, as I've seen their Lava Bursts go for 13k on a Player, and non-stoppable heals with an A cast time.
Death Knights are obviously nerf-bound, as they're nearly impossible to kill as a caster, leathers got nothing on them, and warriors are just a prairie version of death knights, without a pet.

Any class can be OP with a good, knowledgeable player behind the keyboard. =x

My DK WAY overpowers my ret Pally it's INSANE. He has so much health I hardly ever need to use potions. Although to be honest I really enjoy killing in mass xD

Nah, my bf's shaman's lava burst can and have crit for 15K, but only if the other player got no resil. Even just around 300 resil drops down that crit a lot. He says normally it hits for 8-9K only.

Nearly any class can do giant burst, if i spec shadow on my priest i can do an 8k mind blast crit followed by a 6k SWD which is obviously insane a well. But to do that i need to stack dots and s**t first, which makes it hard. The truly OP classes are the ones that can fire off their giant burst just by pressing buttons. Shamans need to put up fire shock at least, though it's not much.
Ret paladins can spam their pve rotation and cleanse when there's an opening. This is OP in my opinion. They don't have to do anything to get that damage off except standing in melee and pressing their judgement/divine storm/crusader strike. A good paladin knows when to blow CD's, nothing else.
Rogues are underpowered by themelves, annoying as they might be. You have loads of choices as to which abilities to ue in which situation, and you need a fast mind to get the right ones in. And even then, the damage isn't amazing. They become OP when they have some class with them that can take advantage of the rogue's strength in locking down opponents. Priests are popular due to mana burn.

Adding onto what Listening is saying....
While there are several classes that can definitely be called OP, none of them are invincible to any class. I feel that if one learns their class in every aspect and is able to develop a sharp and calm mind under pressure, they shouldn't have any problems overcoming any opposing class. The introduction of dual specs has made pvping a lot more accessible to those who don't pvp often because their preferred pvp spec is different than their main spec (I myself am included since my main spec is fury and I pvp as prot). Really, the only way to hone your skills is by practicing a lot. Next time you're in AV and the match has ended up dragging out because of a turtle-fest, don't leave the match but rather keep attacking the enemy and trying new things. Who knows? Maybe spell-reflecting that mage's pyroblast or mana-burning that holy-paladin might help. 3nodding

I'd agree with mustard there if I hadn't been nuked down to 2k hp by a cd spamming rogue in the duration of a garotte.
I've got nearly 700 resil and 19.3k hp. I have a rogue, and very rarely have trouble with them. Up until now...
Hell, 9 times out of 10 we've beaten the rogue to a pulp, but those odd times when we lost and it's not based on skill. I feel /sad.

And the cooldowns are there to be used, just FYI. razz

Void Dragoon Well, if you're beating rogues nine times out of ten... <_<
And the cooldowns are there to be used, just FYI. razz I beat 'em 9 times out of 10 because I know how to play against rogues. Best mate of mine is a rogue so he taught me an awful lot.
Cd's are there to be used I agree. But there's an obvious difference between players who use them wisely and know how/why to use them, and people that spam every single cd the instant they can... like... cheap shot, cold blood, Cos, mut, evic, vanish, garotte, prep, cold blood, mut, evic, vanish cheap shot.
It's when they do that, and just expect to get a kill, purely because of the rediculous burst they know they'll output from that.
Say the evic's don't crit. As long as they land those blows, that's 17k ish damage, (not including white damage). Any decent mage would've spread out their ice barriers to avoid the vast majority of that burst and might be on as low as half hp without any recognisable "skill" on the rogues part.
Of course this is all open to opinion. This being mine.

Rogues. Nuff said. Blizz doesnt have the balls to nerf them because then their dps goes "down" in pve and they will just qq.

Pft, stealth is NOT OP. Anyone can use invisibility pots, actually... druids have stealth too, and mages have invisibility... night elves have shadow meld... and not only that, but you can just be crafty and HIDE so no one can see you if you're not a rogue.
Plus, stealth makes your movement speed pretty slow. neutral Any idea what a pain that can be? And it can be broken by AoEs too.
I think it's really ignorant to claim that rogues are OP.
I mean, I can easily take on a paladin and death knight 2v1, but I've had a lot of practice, worked hard to get PvP gear, and most people (honestly) SUCK at PvP. When I pwn people like this I can almost always think of something they could have done to beat me, but they're just too dumb to do it.
Now, on the other hand, a good paladin should be nearly unbeatable. That class has everything.
