Risa yawned, it had been a couple days since Miles' cabbage had opened, and she still wasn't used to having a toddler around. It was tiring. She sat up against the couch, and stretched. "Miles, want to go to the park?" She asked, looking down at the child she was holding.

Miles simply nodded. He'd never been to the park before, it would be a new experience. "Maybe you'll meet someone your age." Risa said with a nod. She knew it had been hard for the toddler to get along with his older cousins at first--simply because they had been so much bigger than he was.

Risa stood up, and looked outside. "Did we really sleep that long?" The sun was setting. "Oh well. There is that meteor shower." She carried the toddler outside, and to the nearby park. It was probably too late for anyone Miles' age to be out playing, but they'd have fun all the same.

Ugh. What a waste of a perfectly good evening. Of all the things she could be doing, 'Zuba was stuck here, babysitting. The brats wanted to see a meteor shower, and since the spawn could watch them better thanks to natural night vision, she was stuck with taking them. She sat on the bench, scowling. Sure, she'd been wanting to see it too, but not with them. Ugh.

The twins, luckily, were unable to see the mean looks shot their way. Ginger was much to busy with her current task; chasing moths. "I get you!" she called out in warning, her little legs propelling her across the grass as she chased after the small fluttering wisp of a creature, a grin threatening to split her face as she went.

Zemel stayed in the sandbox, watching his sister as he worked on building a rather nice mound of sand. It didn't mold right due to lack of moisture, but it was fun to try and see how high one could stack it. So far, that wasn't very high at all. Ah well. Maybe if he took his bucket and went to the water fountain....? Nah, he couldn't reach.

Risa set Miles into the sandbox. There was a familar looking toddler there, and she smiled at him. "Zemel, right? One of Josh's friends?" She asked. "This is Miles." She said with a smile. She was too distracted by her new son to wonder if Matth would be showing up. Anyway.. She found she really didn't care if he did or not. The fae sat down on a bench, next to a frowning girl. "Hi, I'm Risa." She said, "I think I saw you at the bonfire, but we were never introduced."

Miles looked Zemel up and down. When he decided that he was safe, he smiled. "Hi!" He said. "I 'iles. Who you?"

Zemel nodded, confirming his identity. That was the lady that had brought Josh to their bonfire. He then looked to the other child, smiling. "Hi Iles. I Zemel. Nice to meet." he said softly. "Play?" he asked, motioning to the sand.

'Zuba looked at Risa. "'Lo. I'm 'Zuba. Nice to meet." she said, looking warily at the lady. Wasn't this the woman who was eyeballing her uncle at the bonfire? Why was she sitting next to her? It made her feel a bit paranoid...

Miles smiled and nodded at the other boy, now known as Zemel. "Hi Zemel. Sure. We play." He paused, and looked at the mound the boy had made. "Sand Castle? Or mountawn?" He asked, with a tilt of his head. It didn't look like much of anything. But he supposed that was because there was no water.

Risa smiled. "It's nice to meet you too, 'Zuba." She said, before her mind wandered again. She wondered if she'd see Matth anytime soon, and if she really wanted to see him at all. "Have you seen seen Matthias since the bonfire?" She asked.

Zemel paused a moment, looking at the pile. "'S a cake." he stated, nodding once. "For the sand wurms..." He grinned at the other child, offering his shovel. "Here! Can use."

'Zuba looked at Risa. "Yes...." she said slowly, her tone calm despite how she felt. Why was she asking about her uncle? And what did it matter if she'd seen Matthias since the stupid fire?

"Cake?" Miles repeated, smiling. He'd never heard of sandworms, but they must have liked cake. "Fank you!" He said, delighted. He started to dig a small hole near the 'cake'. "Here, some more sand." He offered. "We make biggest cake in the world!" He decided. "Best cake ever, too."

Risa smiled. "How is he?" She asked, curious. Maybe she shouldn't have been--she knew better than to think that Matth would ask about her, anyway.

Zemel smiled, nodding. "You welcome." he said, patting the offered sand onto their cake. "Yeah! We make it huge. This big!" He spread his arms out, showing just how big their cake would be when they finished it. "Of course it best; not from store."

'Zuba shrugged. "Fine, guess...." she said, feeling a bit uncomfortable. "Tired, too. Aife got sick; won't stop crying." She felt sorry for her little cousin; poor thing was suffering through her first cold.

Miles stacked more and more sand onto the cake. "What be the frosting?" He asked. He picked up some twigs and showed them to his new friend. "This work?" He asked, with a slight tilt of his head. They wouldn't need frosting for a long, long time, but they would have it when needed.

Risa frowned in concern. "Oh, the poor thing!" She exclaimed. "I hope Aife feels better soon." Was that why Matth had opted to stay home? In that case, she could forgive him. She knew if Miles had been ill, she would have stayed home too.
