My my my. This land was HOT! The area Wey was in seemed no hotter than any other she'd been in lately, and from what she could tell the temperature was the same as always...but compared to her home lands far far to the south it was blistering. She'd begun to grow used to it, but for some reason today it was really bugging her. Maybe it was because she hadn't found any water today, and was thirsty or something.
If only there was some way to cool off! Wey grumbled to herself as she made her way to a stand of trees. Shade would go a good way to cheering her up. How could anyone stand this heat, honestly? Home was shady and cool, and moist...nothing like here. At east, nothing like the places she'd seen. She'd have to find someplace better then, or just get used to it. Part of her realized that might be for the best, but still part of her wanted to cling to what she remembered of her home. Where she was from was part of who she was, after all.
"What I wouldn't give for a cool breeze right about now," She grumbled, folding her paws and resting her chin on them.

He'd been sleeping - again. Wandering was a hard job, now that he'd been doing it for long enough. Though compared to the mortals, who were firmly planted on the ground, Tarik knew he had options. If ever he was too lazy to move his paws he could easily spread his wings and get himself up and back to the haven in no time at all. Convenient for someone like him, though he didn't get lazy too often. But he was one to complain when he was traveling on alone.
The adolescent stirred and his eyes flickered open to see a lioness making her way over. Thankfully he already had his mortal guise on, so to mortals he looked like any other lion, albeit a little plain. His cover was simple - a white pelted male with pale blue eyes. As compared with his normally heavily tattooed self, he was rather fond of this cover. With a large yawn the deity closed his eyes once more, wanting sleep to take over for a few more good hours. Half of him hoped that the female was simply passing, much preferring to be alone now rather than having company.
Upon hearing her rather unpleasant grumble, though, he heaved a sigh and opened an eye. (( I rhymed! XDD )) "If it'd get rid of you," he grumbled in return, sounding equally as irked with the current situation as she was about the hot weather. "I'd be happy to oblige."
