The wind seemed to glide through Mauja's mane. The setting was perfect -- the sun was out, but wasn't burning his silky spine, the wind was almost nonexistant, so his predicted path wouldn't be altered.
Looking down, the crevice didn't seem too deep. There was even a bushy tree that he could grapple on to, if he decided that he might actually die in this situation. Not likely, but you never know.
At the bottom, he had caught the attention of a few creatures. They probably thought he was going to do something stupid or something. Pssh.
He inhaled deeply, letting his adrenaline rise, and with one muscle twitch, Mauja flew through the air, speeding down the side of the cliff, headed straight for the top of the tree he had finally decided to land on, so he wouldn't scuff himself too badly.

Xxami-da walked along in the shade of the crevice. It was nice, there was sand - not the scalding rock that had made his paws bleed and crack. Even so, he was still tired from his journey to no where. Where was he even going!? He didn't know anymore. The Hyena shook his mane from his eyes and gave a wide yawn, turning his maw upwards.
That's when he saw it. Some dumb large cat jumping from the cliff. "What in the name of the Gods?" He questioned out loud, still looking upwards at the deranged animal.
Xx'ami let himself scurry from the shadow, slightly darker on the ground, cast by the creature. He wasn't about to get flattened by earths natural pull to the earth. Nooooo thank you.
And then, the cheetah aimed for a tree. "I thought I saw everything..." he scoffed to himself, but shook his head. He'd never see everything, and he knew that alread.

Not to far off a young pup was exploring. Taking in the sights and just generally poking at different things. The sounds far off of startled animals were just merely sounds to her. She'd get to them when she got there. For now she found a large tree with claw marks in it. Her eyes were glued.
Umhlaba'Umntwana, or Twana, was the curious youngsters name and learning was her life. She asked a large variety questions nearly all the time whether she be asking someone or the silence. Even strangers will get asked things like 'What kind of plant is that?' and so on. She sniffed at the bark and the dirt around the tree only to be interrupted by a squirrel above her. She gazes up. "Hmm.. what are you?" She ponders out loud and begins a staring contest with the furry animal.

Hooking his claws into the limb underneath him, Mauja twirled around it, landing on the soft leaves. It seemed acrobatic, which was right up his alley. He gazed at the onlooking population, with a smug grin of accomplishment upon his face.
He started down from his perch, which was just a few meters from the ground, hopping from ledge to ledge until he reaching the cool earth. He seemed to glide on the ground, with an air of pure superiority to him. Not all of the faces seemed to be so amazed, however, especially one estranged looking hyena- now he looked crazy.

The hyena with the bleeding sky-colored paws shook his head with a sigh. So a cheetah then... They were deranged creatures anyway - at least he thought so. They were awkward and... simply strange, though most creatures looked strange hyena. Few creatures were simply right with nature. The Lion was one, and the cape hunting dog was another. Pity the poor creature who wasn't either, like himself.
Xx'ami gave another exhausted yawn and stared at the cheetah with a confused, though mostly tired, expression. "... and why did you jump from that ledge?" he questioned without a harsh or scolding tone. He was just... curious.

It didn't take long for the squirrel to win. Dogs just weren't meant for staring contests. Twana gave a mighty few blinks before getting the moisture back onto her eye's and adding that to a growing list of things never to do again. She laughed off the outcome of the 'battle' and began on her way again coming across a very peculiar bug. It's back was glimmering sort, it had tints of green, purple and it's base color black. To others it was a simple beetle to Twana it was a new things to stare at til it did something different. Which for a lot of things was running away from her.
Which it of course did. "Hey! Come back here!" She shouts at the small creature now scurrying at 'full speed'. She remained on it's 'tail'.

Mauja moved in closer, nipping the sleepy looking hyena on the nose with his teeth. "Why wouldn't I?" he was confused; why would anyone want to stay on the ground when they could be flying through the air? It was too strange. "You don't get out much, do you?" Mauja wiggled his brow at the hyena, thinking that only those with little fun in their lives wouldn't understand his reasoning.
Beginning to become overly bored with the smaller creature, Mauja rolled his eyes and began to walk in a different direction, towards the next interesting thing in his life. Maybe he'd head out to the ocean and try swimming for extended periods of time? Or a forest to see if he could jump from tree to tree? That last one sounded like more fun, as he didn't feel like getting wet for the time being.

Xx'ami-da jerked back violently, away from the delusioned cheetah. He wiggled his nose a bit. "You are very strange," Xx'ami-da said. "I'm more of a... ground and water hyena..." he answered the question with a low, almost growling voice. He didn't really like this Cheetah. He was... invasive.
Alarm shook his fram when the cheetah started to walk away. Without thinking he followed, unthinking - but hi9s body curious.

The beetle had gotten away from her. Leaves and other brush that covered the ground had saved him from the lumbering wild dog. "Humph." She murmured to herself and began scouring the area for another source of amusement when a bee invades her space. She glares at it in confusion and chomps. The first try was a hit and miss, second was the same but, third times the charm! The creature now buzzed angrily in her jaws and she stood tall and proud to have caught the pest. Ready to chomp she feels it, the sharp pain. A stabbing pain.
She opens her mouth releasing the cause and closes it whimpering softly to herself, her rump hits the ground and she half lays down and begins pawing at her jaws trying to make the irritating and painful sensation to go away. She sighs softly once it disappears and relaxes on the ground, head on her paws and ears rotating a bit, keeping her attention to her surroundings.

Headed towards a foresty area, Mauja just thought of all the possibilities. He was trying to keep his mind preoccupied with that instead of the strange blue hyena following him. Maybe he really liked him and was going to stalk him from now on? Who knew, and honestly, who cared? If he followed the mass of sexy chocolate, his life wouldn't be so boring, now would it? So Mauja had become the hero in this saga, and the straggler had become the lowly creature, wanting sympathy and help.
These thoughts brought great joy to Mauja, and he giggled a bit to himself. He had begun to do his signature twirl-while-walking move which signaled his happiness.

Xx`ami's blue nose twitched with a strange sense of forboding. He could smell it, but he didn't know what was coming. He continued to collow the strange brown cheetah with curiousity and worry. This... thing, was a danger to himself and others.
So he just walked behind the other creature, though he kept a slight distance, as he didn't know the mentality of the senile beast.

Giving her mouth sometime to relax after having been brutally stung from the inside she stands. Being young laying down didn't seem an option and so the adrenaline pumped stronger and soon she was up again bounding to the edge of the forest scampering along without a single care in her world.

Mauja was continuously flicking his eyes back, becoming more and more concerned with the stalker he had picked up. "You still following me?" he moved his eyebrow up, in a quizzical look.
Stopping short very quickly, Mauja ran up to the hyena, getting right up in his face. "If you're like that, we could try to have some fun, but you've just gotta speak up!" his breathing was heavy, to try and provoke a reaction out of the hyena. And hey, if he really did like Mauja, he could try something new, right? New experiences were always good.

"Fun, what sort of... fun?" Xx`ami asked, trying to ignore the intense pain in his paws. They were probably bleeding again, but he couldn't tell. Walking for so long was not a good thing, he now learned.
He rather hoped this crazy cheetah's idea of fun was not suicidal. He didn't like heights - he wasn't built to climb with his shortened back legs and longer front legs. It just didn't work. His sheer strength was more his forte.
He gave the cheetah a strange look - a strange look for a strange creature.

Twana had blinked twice before realizing where her path was headed. There not even 40 feet away was a strange looking pair. "What are they!?" She asks out loud. Her eye's widening in sheer excitement. She was over the top excited by this presence. She may have been excited but, she was intelligent. She'd wait until they were a bit closer to tell of their intentions. Were they nice? Were they monsters? That thought startled her into a small fit of laughter and she rolls to her side and pops from her hiding place, a bush. Oh no. Was she caught? She scampers to her paws and bolts into a larger bush.
