This is an RP done on MSN messenger between .Tortured. .Pumpkin. (Dichali) and Kuro-kasai (Pheorin).

Dichali:
A heavy breath was taken in through light blue nostrils. Sweet scents of spring filled the air; newly bloomed flowers, fresh, delicious grass. His current worry, however, was looking for a new flower to place among his beads. The old one had wilted, but only after nearly a year of it being placed upon his neck. Surely finding another couldn't be TOO awfully hard... He hoped.
Currently, Dichali was browsing the mountains, searching for a four-petaled bright green flower.

Pheorin:
Pacing quietly, Pheorin was near daydreaming. She didn't have a thought on her mind to burden her nor did she have a place to be, but that didn't stop her from wanting such a place. Pausing, she looked about her and sighed. No one, again. Laying down and rolling to her side she watched the clouds lazily pass by.

Dichali:
At long last, Dichali found what he was looking for. On the other side of a clearing on the mountain was the green flower he'd coveted. Quickly, the stallion jumped into the air and zoomed toward the flower, his eyes fixated on it. Little did he know, he had just flown right above the mare, and nearly hit her with a hoof.

Pheorin:
"AAIE!" Pheorin yelped as she ducked, having heard something just launch above her. It didn't take long for her to jump back to her feet after he had landed. "Excuse me! You nearly took my head off with your hoof!" She snapped, her eyes narrowing slightly. Her tail flicked behind her and her ears had gone back ever so slightly.

Dichali:
Dichali's eyes widened at the yelling. "Oh goodness! Did I? I'm so, so, so, so soooo sorry!" He turned to the mare, eyes still wide. "Please forgive me," he began, "Sometimes when I've got my eyes on something, everything else just turns into a blur..." Not sure what else to do, he added, "I'm Dichali."

Pheorin:
Pheorin did her best not to snort. Taking a few moment she looked him over, by the way he was acting, he didn't mean to almost kill her... "Well you didn't mean too so I suppose it's ok.." She said, trying to collect herself and not look quite so angry. "I'm Pheorin... may I ask what had you so absorbed?"

Dichali:
Dichali thought for a moment, and looked back to the direction of the flower. "Well... I don't quite remember..." He sighed, still looking around for what was so important. "I guess it wasn't too awfully important, if I've forgotten what it was, even if I have traveled a long way to find it." This was to reassure himself, not the mare. "On a better note, it's lovely to meet you, Miss Pheorin."

Pheorin:
Flicking her tail once more she took a deep breath and let it out slowly, calming again. "Would you like help remembering what it was you have forgotten? I think my outburst may have shaken you a little..." Her voice was softer now, she couldn't help but feel a little guilty. Looking around she tried to spy something out of the ordinary but she came up empty handed.

Dichali:
"That's quite all right." He nodded. "It isn't your fault. I forget easily. I do remember that it was over th--" He stopped mid-sentance when something caught his eye. "A-ha! Pardon me for a moment, miss." The stallion quickly fluttered up to a high branch of a rotting tree, where the rare flower had been growing, and gently plucked it from its place before drifting back down to the mare. "There we are."

Pheorin:
"A flower?" She said, highly amused. "And here I thought you had lost a family heirloom..." She muttered to herself. Taking a few steps closer she eyed the rare flower, curious as to what is was. "What does such a flower signify to you?" She questioned, taking her eyes off the prized possession and letting them drift up to his own eyes.

Dichali:
"Well, it's the only thing left I've got to remind me of my parents. Well, my real parents, anyway. I can barely remember it, but just before I was placed into my basket as a foal, my mother placed this necklace beside me. She had flowers similar to this, but blue. That's all I remember of her. Remember nearly nothing of my father, other than his bright orange color." He allowed a sigh to escape.

Pheorin:
Guilty. It struck Pheorin deep and she turned her head, cleared her throat a little. "I'm... sorry." She said before looking back up to him. "I didn't realize... I shouldn't have acted so.." Mentally kicking herself she took a couple steps back. She knew her family, sure she didn't talk to them all that often but her memories weren't nearly as sweet and heart warming as his...

Dichali:
Dichali frowned slightly, not wanting the mare to become upset. "Please don't feel bad, Miss Pheorin. It's okay. I've got a beautiful family. Adoptive parents that love me, gorgeous children, and a lovely home. I'm quite well off." With this, he plucked the wilted flower from his necklace and gently set the newly bloomed one in its place.

Pheorin:
Trying to hold herself a little better, she nodded. "It's such a heart warming thought that I feel bad for ever second-guessing your intentions. You have a very big heart to accomdate such a caring family." She said with a smile, admiring the newly replaced flower. "It looks lovely."

Dichali:
Smiling, he replied, "Don't even worry about it. It's no big deal. Honest." Nodding, he added, "I wouldn't really call them caring. Needy, resentful, and confusing, maybe." He couldn't help but chuckle. His past wasn't that great. "But no need to dwell on that. Is it crooked or anything? Does it need adjusting?"

Pheorin:
Raising a brow she eyed him curiously. "I must say you are quite odd, delightful to be around though." Smiling she shook her head, "It looks great. How often do you change it? Doesn't it begin to fade after plucking it?"

Dichali:
He grinned. "Why thank you, Miss Pheorin. You're plesant to be around as well." Dichali thought about her question. "Honestly, I'll be a year old in less than a two-legger's 'month'. This is the first time I've had to change it. I'm unsure what makes them last so long. I'm not even sure if this one will last nearly as long as the last."

Pheorin:
"If you have to come to the mountains... do you travel far to get here?" She questioned lightly as she took this chance to walk around him and come up to stand beside him. Realizing she was asking a lot she lowered her head. "Sorry... I don't meet others often..."

Dichali:
"I'd say it's rather far. You see, I didn't know where to find this flower, but seeing as how my basket was found in the mountains, I figured it was my best bet." He chuckled and looked at her. "Never be sorry for asking questions. More is learned when questions are asked. So feel free to ask away."

Pheorin:
Nodding she looked about. "So you're family... what are they like?" So what if she was a nosey-body, in truth, he was only the third or fourth person she'd met, the first to have an in depth conversation with her. "I'm sure they must be just as plesant as you are?"

Dichali:
Dichali sighed. "Well, you see, my daughter hates me. We don't speak anymore. She's my only daughter. My son by the same mother as her is overall plesant, nice, mostly like me. I don't really know my grandchildren by him, but his mate seems nice enough. My son by another mare, Chowilawu, is very similar to me. He's nice, talkative, doesn't judge. I don't know my other son by that mare. Met him once or twice. But didn't really learn anything. My adoptive mother is smart, but rather full of herself, but she loves me and my children very much. My adoptive father is... Less than smart, but very friendly and nice. Rather childish, though. What about your family?"

Pheorin:
"My, what a family..." Thinking about his extensive family, questions continued to pop up in her mind until she was stopped by the brick wall of his question. "Well... to be honest... I really don't know much. I left my family at such a young age I can't recall any of their tempers. I have heard word that one of my relatives became a skinwalker... As for siblings... I think I have some... No children, that I do know." She said with a soft smile. "I'd like to find my relatives someday... It will just take time." Her gaze was faraway, in a dreamlike state as she thought of her family. "You say you have children... so are you still with the most recent mare?"

Dichali:
"I see. Well I hope your quest to find your family goes well, Miss Pheorin." His ears drooped slightly at her question. "I'm afraid not... You see, the first mare... I loved her very much. But we got upset with each other, and in order to make one another jealous, we ran off with others. She found love and children, I only found children. I wouldn't call it an accident, but an unplanned event. I'm not complaining, though. Not in the slightest bit. Cho is the best child I could ever hope for."

Pheorin:
Pheorin smiled. "I don't believe in mistakes. I believe in a change of fate. Obviously you weren't ment to be with her, nor the the mare you had Cho with. But look at the outcome, you have indeed found the flower amongst the thorns." She wasn't a philosopher of any sorts, but she wasn't afraid to tell him what she thought, "And I think it is very sweet you havn't let such a change in fate change your character." She said with a simple nod.

Dichali:
Dichali chuckled. "I wouldn't let such a thing sway me. Sure, I'm a little less trusting, but eh. It happens to the best of us, right? You know what they say. It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Besides, if I'm a bitter old stallion, I'll never have a second chance."

Pheorin:
A giggle escaped her as she nodded. "At least you've had said experience. I've not found one to let my heart be tied too, but maybe it will happen. I guess if I never get my own chance I will continue to do whatever I end up doing..." She thought for a moment, "You know... I have no idea what I'm going to do either. I'm content with wandering for now." She said with a laugh.

Dichali:
He smiled warmly at her. "I'm sure you'll find something or someone soon enough. And there's nothing wrong with wandering. I've gotten everywhere I am today by wandering." Nodding, Dichali thought for a few moments, bantering to himself inside his head about what to add.

Pheorin:
"I will keep you in mind Dichali." She said softly, a smile shining on her face. "At last it is time for me to move again, I cannot stay settled in one place for long. Perhaps another day we will meet again? Just next time, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't jump over me and scare me half to death." She said with a giggle. Turning she began to head down the small slope, leading to the forest at the base of the mountains.

Dichali:
He smiled and nodded. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Pheorin. I do hope we meet again." He, as well, turned and parted ways, both finishing his quest to find a new flower and making a new friend.
