The raven masked wolfess padded silently through the underbrush, her new recruit, Caydenn, in tow. They had crossed back down towards the packlands now, and circiling around it's borders. She wanted to make one clean sweep around the territory, just to make sure that their escaped slave had not weaseled her way down into unexpected territories.
She didn't expect to find anything at all, but the female liked to have every possible chance she could to find that wretched slave and drag her back to her King. With Moghedien being the little go-getter she is, Liriel knew she would have to claw her way higher in Chernabog's favor the hard way.

Picking through the forest just behind Viola, his newest friend, Adrieal wasn't sure whether his confidence was growing of shrinking. One minute he would envision himself surrounded by other wolves who would accept him, the next a group of cold-shoulders too busy preparing for whatever "turmoil" was about to happen, as Viola had put it. Really, it seemed like he was just begging like a lowlife these days . . . And then that deep pressure on his soul was coming back again, like it had earlier while he was chatting with another green wolf. Why did he always have to feel like a victim? It was so stupid; like ruining a possibly good day before it even began.
"I-Is it far?" he asked Viola after a while, clear eyes sweeping about their surroundings as they walked. It almost seemed to get darker along the fringes, and thus 'Dri kept close to the center of the path, fur prickling with some anxiety.

Caydenn follow closely behind his pretty companion, his cowl covering most of his feature, disguising the dangerous look in his eyes. The male was steeling himself for meeting his new, and first, superiors. He had lived his entire life, from birth to this point, beholden to none.
Now, they criss-crossed borders and territories, looking for some escaped slave. Caydenn hoped he wasn't being fooled into becoming the next one. But he doubted Liriel had enough conniving in her to do that. Plus, he'd yet to run into a situation he couldn't talk himself out of.
The male pressed his nose back to the trail. "Any scent of your slave, pretty one?"

((maybe we should just put a narrative of the plot in here so we can move on to the meeting with Chernabog or something. How are you wanting it to go, O-j? ))
