It been a few weeks since their first official...wait was it.. yes.. their first official date but with all the mission work that they've been through it seemed even longer to Hinata, who was currently fussing with her hair over and over while slowly turning redder and redder as she waited out in front of her house for him..
"Our second date..." her lips perked up into a tiny smile, she tapped her pointer fingers together "At least I hope it is..." her smile faded at the thought of her team mate only wanting to meet up for training... or heaven forbid... another mission...

He had been rather upset with Kurenai these days because there had been no time for him to just get away from life. It was always train here, do this, do that, when was it his time he wondered. Once the okay was given for a mini vacation Kiba had sent a mail to Hinata asking her to meet him. Thus he hoped she too had gotten the okay for a little time off.
Carrying Akamaru on on his head he headed out with some treats he had placed in a basket. The dark haired Shinobi fae figured they both needed time away from the village so why not a picnic, right?
Rushing to the meeting place he saw her there and smiled in an endless happiness. She had gotten his message after all which was wonderful. Walking up toward her he smiled leaning in to kiss her cheek gently.
"Sorry I'm a little late Hina-chan, I thought I was never getting out of there. Man Kurenai has been working us like a bunch of dogs", he groaned.
Looking at her thoughtfully he grinned, "You been over worked too? I think we need to get away from here Hina-chan."

Gasping just a bit Hinata nearly jumped out of her seat "Oh Kiba-kun, Hello,no your fine I haven't been waiting to long and its a nice day..." She had more to say but her train of thought was derailed as she was kissed.
"Oh heh... Yes there have been more missions lately now that where almost a full team again" she smiled and reached up and patted puppy on his head "But its been fun right Akamaru" She blinked and looked back to Kiba "Get away? Like a vacation?" if he had actually gotten Kurenai to give them time off that would be impressive.

"Vacation?" he responded with a chuckle, "Yeah I guess it is for the both of us isn't it."
He chuckled and extended his paw with the basket. Her gentleness and delicate smile always made his heart flutter. Smiling to himself he was glad that she hadn't gone after Naruto like most of the girls wanted to these days. Kiba was definitely a lucky fae.
"Oh I packed some goodies that are sweet and tasty. Uh so where would you like to go Hinata? I figure anywhere away from the village is better.
He waited for her answer as his little companion lounged upon his head with a sleepy look upon his little face.

Taking a moment to think it over Hinata though of the prefect place to go for a picnic "I've heard the lake side is nice, we could go there maybe?" she asked just in case the idea was unappealing to Kiba
"Anywhere would be fine with me really" she flashed another cute smile and nodded. "Oh do you need help carrying that?" she pointed at the basket

Kiba listened to Hinata's advice with an open smile, for she always knew the best places. The idea of a romantic little date staring into those pretty eyes made him feel really content and happy.
"That sounds wonderful Hina-chan" he responded with a pause wondering what he should say next. She was always so pretty even since they were little faes being trained in separate areas. Always a delicate smile she made him so happy for even the chance to be with her.
Looking down at the basket then back to her he chuckled, "Now would I be a gentleman letting you carry this all by yourself? You can carry it with me if you'd like" he nodded extending part of the handle for her to wrap her delicate digits around.
"Shall we then beautiful?" he asked leaning in to kiss her cheek once more.

"Really? Oh I'm glad you think so to, it'll be nice to look at the water, especially if we stay long enough to watch the sunset" she was really hoping for that now, but also a tad afraid, that would mean a long walk back in the dark.. and there had been more sightings of the Akatsuki around in the area.. she shook her head clear of that, her and Kiba could easily handle it. Another smile flashed on her face thinking of Kiba defending her..
Shaking her head back again into reality again Hinata nodded and took his hand, before blushing brightly at being kissed again "Oh.. thank you Kiba"

Her mention of the sunset made his tail wag thinking how it would be romantic and such a lovely view for the both of them. Oh how he wanted to pick her up and carry her to the lake but he refrained being a gentleman. Last thing he wanted was her to faint before they arrived at their destination. As her hand touched upon his he grinned stepping forward.
Thinking how she'd like him even more he made mention of the sunset as they walked, "Seeing the sunset on a mission isn't the same as being with you Hinata. Its just not as pretty or interesting."
He chuckled to himself knowing she'd spazz over such direct compliments. But there was one thing he was thinking of he knew she'd be concerned over.
"Oh yeah, "he began with a spark of confidence, "Don't worry if it gets dark Hinata. I won't let anything separate us. Not even the Akatsuki could scare me away. A ninja protects his own." he mentioned squeezing her hand within his own.
The lake wasn't too far off now with maybe 5 or 10 minutes till they arrived.

She nodded along as the other assured her "I know you would Kiba, I would do the same for you" she said as she squeezed his hand back "Maybe we should just forget about missions and the akatsuki and how 'there numbers are on the raise you must always be on guard!'" she said trying to copy they teams leader from there last briefing, she laughed softly "heh.. that was mean to Kurenai sensei I'm sorry" her free hand was now covering her mouth to keep her from laughing anymore at her own impression.

Kiba chuckled at Hinata's interpretation feeling she was really cute in her attempt. He hated hearing lectures but the ninja fae did heed those words. A life could be taken at any moment in the act of negligence and stupidity. Better to keep a level head then not to have one at all.
"Nah its okay Hina-chan. I get it too if I fail my missions. You just have to grin and bear it somedays." he nodded as his hand pointed toward the willow tree overlooking the lake.
"Really I think our sensei need to chill out and see things for what they are."
Leading her to a nice spot he laid out a blanket and placed the basket near them. The lake was so happy as the water moved back and forth to the shoreline. Kiba always loved the lakeside, for it was relaxing and full of wonder for any who viewed it's beauty.

She nodded back at him as the talked about there teacher while they walked over to a spot with a beautiful view of the lake "Oh wow we're here already?" she sat down on the blanket and took a moment to look at the lake the water, she let out a happy sigh, today was already going great..
"Its prefect here isn't it.." she gave another smile and looked up at the other fae and waited for him to join her on the blanket.

Akamaru yawned still lying atop Kiba's head lounging there in boredom. The pup wasn't too much into the "dating scene", so he gingerly used that time to rest when not initiating in battle or training with his companion.
Kiba on the other hand was happy as a lark being with the one he thought the world of. Sure there was time for training and all but romance was nice too.
"Yeah it is" he replied with a large meaningful smile, "But not as perfect as you Hina-chan".
The ninja was still smiling at her bathed in the sunlight as it reflected off the water. Even as kids he always liked that softness though he acted much like the other boys. Stepping forward he settled himself upon the blanket and started digging in the basket. Though his eyes still never left the sweet fae he always admired.

She tried to keep another blush down as she was complimented again, was Kiba trying to make her faint? She loved how sweet the other fae could be when they where alone with each other.
She was able to keep herself together and only turn slightly red "Thank you Kiba-kun.." she watched as the other started going through the basket "do you need help with that?"

Kiba grinned back at her shaking his head, he could never ask of a lady such a thing. But he stopped placing his hands upon hers and smiled softly. If the brave canine like fae did everything leaving his love to only watch, he certainly was no better then any other average cur. With Kiba he would of rather done as much as he could in sharing things with Hinata.
"Just kidding. Heh course you can help me Hina-chan. Its more fun that way."
Pulling back a little he let Hinata retrieve the sandwiches hoping she'd be proud of his food preparation skills. Especially the one that was cut in the shape of a heart. That he was most proud of but hoped his fellow ninja would never catch him creating such a masterpiece.
Some things were just not meant for those eyes that didn't understand how one felt about another.

"Ok then" she helped the other place things on the blanket and set up everything, softly laugh at all the cute little touches the other had added, it was very touching to her that the other put all this effort in for her.
"There I think thats everything" she set peeking back into the basket, nope nothing that looked like food anyway, just extra napkins she assumed, she then waited for the other before they started eating.
