A few years back, Gaia saw the invasion of extraterrestrial beings, and along with them came another intriguing life form know only as the Water Meat.

This was in December 2006 and the fishy alien was introduced to our world. Some people have said that eating fish makes you smart, but it was not sure if these water meat could even be considered as fish. The one thing that was certain was the widespread attention these sacks of meat recieved.

"They're so cute!", "They're weird...", "They don't do anything!"

Are some of the things people have said to describe their existence.

When the Zerg left the water meat craze died down, but they didn't leave with the aliens, the were always with us. Recently they have been raised and domesticated and can now be found at the local fish store. Many have chosen to make them a loving addition to their fish tanks. Although the same comments about the newly dubbed watermeat can still be heard.

Unfortunately the consumption of watermeat is still a big no-no, even though they are 'technically' fish. Maybe it's due to the fact that they taste bad, maybe they are unhealthy to eat, poisonous perhaps? Maybe it's because they are just too cute to be eaten, or maybe it's just inhumane to cook your pets.

Either way, my dreams of having a watermeat sushi (or so-called 'Space Sushi') can be flushed down the drain.
