((icly Jumanjii hasn't been seperated from his mom yet, so this is his playful 'original' self))

"Nghh...Zul! GET BACK HERE!" Small tail twisted and flicked as the young colt continued his yelling. It was all he could do in his current situation, what stuck in this hollow log like some bloated frog. The moss on the bark was too slick and Jumanjii' found the hardest time to wriggle his legs to get a good kick out. Gah, he should have known better than to chase his brother through the aged log. But still, how had he made it through and not himself? Did that truly make him the weaker of the two? Pride not willing to accept that, Jumanjii' struggled all the more. It wasn't long before his pale fur turned dark and grimy by the mud underneath him. His nostrils flared as his temper lifted, and he was just about to continue his yelling when....

~grrrrrrrw~

Ears pinned and instead the boy whimpered. He was growing hungry now, burning his energy so hastily. Huffing at his mistake, he rested his chin to the ground as he paused to think of his options. Zul had likely laughed his way back to mother by now. And they were probably eating shiny red apples without him..... ;___;

The little filly was a bit too scared to go forward. There were strange sounds emitting in the woods ahead of her, and Ecclesia was unsure if she should continue or not. Glancing over her shoulder, the little filly wondered if she should turn around and ignore the foreign grunts, muted hollers and shouts . . . All she had to do was turn tail and trot back to the comfort of her mother, father and grand mother. All she had to do was just. . . .leave. . . . and the fear would go away as soon as she was with those she loved.

But, on the other hoof, she wasn't done picking wildflowers. She wanted to surprise her mama and papa with the pretty plants and the colours she were missing were further within the woods. She had to continue onward and part of the filly didn't want to waste time to find her brother. Oh no . . . She could do this all herself, oh yes she could. Maybe. Possibly. So long as she didn't run in to anyone else.

A bit shy and easily intimidated, the little filly almost turned back. But the call of flowers as well as a sudden wonder if whatever was making those noises needed help urged her to continue onward. Even if she were scare. . . Black eyes went wide, throat dry, and flower firmly in her mouth as she pushed onward. "Hello . . .?" She questioned quietly, ears alert and body tense, ready to run at the first sign of trouble.

"Is . . . is someone there?" She didn't see anything, not at first, but then she wasn't exactly expecting the source of the noises to come from inside a log. Even at her loudest, her voice was soft and quiet. Her mother couldn't speak above a whisper, and though Ecclesia wasn't quite so cursed, she was still naturally coy and soft spoken.

All the shy filly could hope was whatever was making those noises wouldn't try to eat her. . . .
But who knew? Maybe flowers might cheer any grouchy ones up.

One last wriggle was all Manjii' could afford before he slumped tiredly to the ground. At the very least....the moss was better than laying on rocks. The colt puffed his mouth in short agitation, wondering how his brother Zul had outdone him again. Was he really the stronger of the two of them? Was he a better Troll than himself? The very notion made Manjii' grit his teeth, not willing to believe or admit such a humiliation. Determined to try again, the young Soquili paused in his efforts with perked ears? Eh, had that been mother's voice? His expression shifted from grumpy to hopeful as he glanced around. If there was anyone he didn't mind seeing him like this, it was his kind mother. And she'd be considerate enough to bring an apple for him too.

The boy held still and waited to confirm his small guess. It had been the slightest of sounds, but his mother was known for being a timid and cautious mare. Still, if she was with father there'd be no need to be so quiet. Plus he'd have heard his rambunctious siblings by now. Maybe he was getting too hopeful, and it had been nothing but a bird. Or maybe a rattlesnake..... o-o;

Nervous that such a threat may be behind him within the very log, Jumanjii' allowed himself to be the child he was and cry out for his parent's support should they hear him.

"Ma, are ye there? Ai'? ....Father?"

((Is he stuck with his head in the log or his backside in the log? Just so I know. . . x3 It was a little vague. ))

The little filly heard the cry, her black eyes going wide with concern. Though she wasn't entirely sure who or what was out there, Ecclessia fully understood what it was like to want the comfort of Mother or Father. Whenever she got scared, if her brother wasn't there, it was her parents that she'd always cry for next. So if someone was calling for their mother then. . . . did that mean they needed help? Or maybe they were afraid?

Either way, the little one forgot (briefly) about her own fear. Pushing her way through the woods, the filly paused when she spotted the log. But it wasn't the log that caused her ears to flick forward. It was the sight of what appeared to be a soquili foal stuck in it. . . Or at least partially so.

Giving a little gasp in concern, Ecclesia lurched forward, her black eyes wide with concern. "Not Ma or Father but. . . but someone else," she spoke up, cautiously stepping closer to 'Manji and his log. Was he just lying in there by choice or did he not want to move. . .? "Are . . . are you okay?" The violet filly wasn't sure what to do. Not only was she unaccustomed to meeting strangers on her own, without her brother with her but . . . . she also wasn't used to meeting others whom were stuck in fallen tree logs.

((hind legs are stuck in the log)) 83

Small ears pinned bask instantly when there was an actual reply to his shouting. Light eyes glanced here and there, but his sight found nothing while his neck was cramped in such a way. So when tiny hooves stomped before him, the colt nearly had a heart attack as he gasped. Tired legs had renewed energy and he found himself jolted back from fear, making his situation all the more snug. Dx;

Manjii' bit his lip to the scare as he quirked a cautious brow to the stranger. Was it a threat? His siblings even? But to his shock and almost dismay, it was nothing more than another foal. Sighing aloud, the colt turned his eyes down. "Yeah...just another some'n." What good would a petite girl do for his situation? If it wasn't his sister, he doubted any other mares to be of useful strength.

"Ngh, do I look alright? Honestly? I'm stuck in this...this blasted wood and been left fir dead." Dx He huffed and gave no hesitant thought to his exaggerations. His body was now truly sore, and his temper sour from his embarrassment. Frowning, he glanced at the others face before faultering, tilting his head slightly. "Oye....what's wrong with ye eyes?" >_>

The filly peeked at the stranger, studying his precarious situation. He certainly had gotten himself rather tangled in that log . . . now how to get him out was the question? She was awfully small, a shame her brother wasn't around to help but . . . maybe it wasn't a completely hopeless situation?

Stepping closer, unperturbed by the little colts obvious dismay, she gave her pale tail a little swish. "Well it's obvious you're stuck, silly," she quipped with a little giggle. "I just wanted to make sure you hadn't broken any bones or scratched yourself up too bad." Beaming happily up at the blue stallion, she stepped closer as she peeked at the log.

Perhaps if she tore at some of the bark? Or kicked with her hind leg to crack it? If he'd gotten himself in to such a mess than he could obviously get himself out. Besides, he was a boy, and if she knew anything from her brother it was that they were good at getting out of sticky (or in this case tight) situations.

"You're not left for dead either. . . I'll make sure you get out all right." And that was the truth! The little violet filly did p***k her ears in concern as he questioned her eyes. . . . What was wrong with them? What on earth was he talking about~! "There's nothing wrong with 'em," she murmured, dipping her head lightly in a moments self-consciousness. "My Mama has the same coloured eyes. . . . " So that certainly made them all right, didn't it? What was wrong with ebony eyes. . . . ? Nothing, that was what. . .

Offering a small smile, the little one did her best to ignore his question and turn the subject back on his situation. ". . . can you wriggle at all in there?" Maybe if he squirmed and she pushed on him or tugged on the bark something would finally give. The log certainly couldn't handle two foals . . . . or so Ecclesia hoped.

"Obviously." Manjii' huffed to his predicament and that it was being viewed so openly. At least it wasn't his sisters, they could be so harsh at times. Yes....he'd much rather faec a stranger than those kin. With that much in mind the boy was able to choke back his blush and move on with the issue. Though he did frown to the giggling. Humf.

Watching as the filly examined the log, Manjii' tucked in his lanky legs. No need for any trips or tumbles. And he couldn't help but take in how dirty his own legs had gotten compared to the pale legs of the other. Gah, mother would certainly force a bath on him now. Maybe he should stay stuck in the log... "Ye sure about that? Look! I already be wastin away." The boy couldn't help but snort to his own dramatics, before one ear flitted up. Wh...what was wrong with her?

.....
Oh.

"Wha, hey. C'mon now don't be listenin to me!" The foal snuffed and grumbled at himself for his poor behavior. Mother would have his tail if she were to witness him upsetting another. "I nay mean to be rude, m' just curious is all." Like he had been when his siblings had jaws different from his own. Except they were used to his bluntness.

Eager to change the topic, Manjii' pawed the ground with his front hooves. "Nh, I can 'ardly get a grip." Then he blinked and glanced around. Spying another tree to the side, he chuckled and quirked a brow at the filly. "Unless ye be rolling me off the hill, ye got any other plans?"
PostPosted: Wed May 27, 2009 6:57 am

The little filly relaxed after the blue and oddly-designed foal offered his hasty reassurances. She hadn't really been hurt or offended, but she was still too young to realize that pure ebony eyes weren't part of the norm. In fact, meeting little Manjii' and his tree was the first real outing she'd had without her parents or brother near~!

Her smile quickly brightened and Ecclesia studied the foal caught in the tree. "Ooooh, but we'll get ya out! I won't let you starve, promise~!" She knew where sweet clover fields grew and the fruits of spring and summer were growing on various plants as well. No, the little violet and white hued filly would make sure her new friend (regardless of being a stranger) didn't go hungry for long.

Narrowing her gaze, she studied the ground and the log in which he resided. If he couldn't get a good grip from the front, she could only hope he might be able to wriggle out the way he had come. Then again, if a colt as big as Manjii could squeaze in to it, maybe she could help him push? Giggling a bit, Ecclesia gave a nod. "Ok . . . Lemme try something. Just uh. . . don't panic too much. Maybe I can push ya out?" Adding hastily as an afterthought, "I've another plan if this doesn't work too," she chirped, trotting around the log and towards the opening.

She herself had never crawled through many logs, but she was a rather petite and small foal, even compared to other girls. Her mother and grandmother were not big boned and, though not incredibly strong, at least she could easily slip through the log. Without thinking twice, the little filly ducked in and squirmed behind Manjii.

"Uh. . . " Her muted voice could be heard. "You try to push forward and I'll push ya from behind!" Silly boys getting stuck in logs. . . Really now, this whole scenario could have easily been avoided had he just walked around the log or hopped over it!

One ear tilted forward as the colt gave the filly an exasperated glance. Promise? He'd only heard of that word once, from his siblings. But even that held no value when it came to their pranks. So would this one, a promise form a stranger, be the same? Then again, what option did he have than to endure it?

Giving a sigh since he had no words to share, Manjii' nodded in reply. What else could he do save watch the other studying him? Trying once more, the boy wriggled his knees to see if there were any changes. Not much, except that he was cramped and the moss was beginning to itch his tummy. Eyes blinked to a chiming giggle, and he turned to look at Ecclesia. "Try...pushin' me out?" But wait...if pulling was done outside, then pushing...

"Oy hey now!" But too late, the filly had already skipped out of view. That's all they'd need is both of them getting stuck. But then again she was smaller than him. It might be an easy task for her to tunnel through a log. Manjii' couldn't help his huff and mumble of 'thanks' to his father for being such a large Soquili. u.u

"Eep!" The colt flicked his tail in surprise, hearing Ecclesia's voice in an odd echo from the log. "Ye really got in there? Ya alright?" The boy pinned his ears since there was no use glancing back at the other. He was also very cautious to not kick the other right behind him in his efforts. "Erm, okay......" Scrunching his brows, Manjii' dug his front hooves in the ground and began to drag himself forward. And with the filly's help behind him, he could feel the suction cup sensation beginning to fade from his torso.

"H..hey! It's workin'!" Just a little more....

It wasn't easy being stuck in a dark and kind of stuffy log. She could feel the grime of inside brush against her sides and backs, the stench of moss, mold and soil overwhelming. Why did boys have go in such dirty places anyway she wondered? It would have been much more practical and certainly less grimey had he just walked around or over. . . .

Boys really were funny creatures sometimes.

"Almost. . . got it. . ." Ecclesia grunted, using all her strength to try to push the little colt out of the other side of the log. She could see bits of sunlight whenever he moved, and the way she was pressing forward, could also feel him shift ever so lightly. His call to continue added hope to the little filly, and hanging on to such a feeling caused her to keep up the pushing.

So much for being shy, it occurred to her, a little giggle following. "We can . . do it!" She rooted, grunting slightly as one of her hooves slipped upon some moss. But no matter, backing up a step, the little filly bolted forward as hard she could, hoping the extra oomph might be what it took to get him free completely.

Honestly, this wasn't very easy work.

((Sorry for the short reply. ^^; They'll get longer the sooner she's out of the log. ))

(tis okay. ^_^ sorry mine's short...at work right now)

"Oy, watch it!" He hardly let his own siblings push him around, but this? A stranger at his rump no less. Manjii' grit his teeth, both embarrassed at the situation and himself for allowing it to happen. The only peace of mind he got from it was that his siblings weren't there to see it.

Diggin deeper into the soil before him, the colt struggled to pull forward. Though old and molded, the log's edge held firm and almost sharply to his torso. And despite his shaking legs, Manjii' could feel that they were winning against the fallen tree. The foal's whispered giggle went unheard by the boy, both absorbed in his focus and his ears too pinned to notice. But he did feel the slip up behind him, and he stilled himself to try and hear what happened. "Eccle? Ya alright back the......"

Then there was a sudden push from behind, unwarned and almost insulting. The colt gasped with a squeak and the tightening of his belly from that action prooved useful. He slid forward and out of the tunnel, at long last. Wobbling both in shock and cramped muscles, Manjii' made to stand, his little tail swishing in freedom. "It worked! Holy Thunder it worked!" His eyes were as bright as his grin as he turned to peer back in the log. "Hey now, it's your turn. Can ye make it?"
PostPosted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 11:13 am

The little filly gave a giggle in delight as her new 'friend' went tumbling out the other end. She herself lost her balance, not expecting him to be freed so easily, and bumped her head a top the log. Though it stung, for just a moment (and now she was certain she had dirt and grime in her mane!) Ecclesia was more excited for 'Manjii than she was concerned for anything else.

They had done it!

Her plan had worked and, together, they had managed to free him from his woe! Squeeling lightly, the black eyed filly didn't take long to push herself out of the log. It was a tight squeeze, even for her, but she was not only younger but also that much more petite than the colt.

Silly of him to think he could have barreled through. . . . But maybe next time he'd know better. Giving herself a little shake, removing excess grime and dirt upon her coat, Ecclesia couldn't help but prance around her friend in lue of their success. "We did it~!" She squealed, laughing at the predicament they had conquered. "You're out! And hopefully next time you won't go in," she added mischieviously, her little pale and ebony tipped tail swishing frantically.

Still, he had been there for goodness knew how long. Tilting her head, her pleasure turned to genuine concern for his well-being. "You're not. . . You're not hurt are you?" She questioned, stepping a bit closer to further investigate. She had butted against him a few times, and if the log was stuck tight on his stomach he might have gotten scratched up something good.

Food would be next on the agenda, as a colt his age was probably famished. Heck, she'd get hungry being stuck in a log so Ecclesia was more than sure that her new friend was ravenous too! And hadn't she promised him she wouldn't let him starve or waste away? Though he was free to do as she pleased, the little filly wasn't going to let him leave so quickly. . . .Not until she was sure he was all right and they had found some treats!

Brows furrowed as he could hear the wood and skull bump in meeting. There was just enough lighting to see her spot in the hollow log as he peered in and asked, "Oy...ya alright?" Then he blinked with a frown as he could actually feel the cling of earth and moss on his form, itchy and awkward against the open air.

Encouraging the other with praise as she easily made exit the log, Manjii backed away so as not to bonk their heads on accident. "Dang, ya like a pro with surviving this wilderness. Though we both be lookin pretty gritty by now." He lifted one hoof to examine it, guessing quietly how long a river cleaning it would take. But that concern was left hanging as the filly pranced around almost in sing-song. The boy grinned widely and kicked up his own front legs in stretch and joy. "We did, didn't we?" And he could only nod rapidly in agreement; he'd never go in another log again! "Just don't be tellin me mom or pop. Heh, I'll get back at my brother soon enough!"

"Oh?" He didn't even know, was he hurt? Neck turned as his eyes scanned over his body....but it really was too messy to tell. "I nay think so, just alil rib sore. How's ye forehead?" He glanced up, not able to tell if it was bruised under her mane. Humming as if his examination was serious, the colt shrugged once finished. "Well no scars...any headaches?" His tummy rumbled then and he visibly blanched at how empty his insides felt. How long had it been? "Errr, ya not hungry too, are ya? I'm sure there's 'nough clovers nearby to munch on. If you want." Or maybe she had to get home? He knew he would have to as well. But that'd be after cleaning off his pelt too, else mama would fret too much.
