Day by day...little changed.

Her talk with a stranger who called himself Remy had helped, as he'd certainly been understanding. It was comforting to know that she was not the only one to have made such a hard choice, even if it made it sting no less. Even so, sometimes such a horrible guilt overtook her...her mother had disapproved of the union so much, had left her father...and one of the reasons why was now in shambles, broken beyond repair.

It was a bitter pill to swallow.

Drifting aimlessly through the forests outside her father's teepee, Akila paused, peering up through the trees at the sky above. Would the day come when she no longer wished she'd never seen that figure wheeling through the limitless blue?

The unicorn had finally pulled himself away from the beach, having turned his travels more inland. He was back on the path of sending a message of love and hope, and as always, sought out those in need. At any sign of trouble, the stallion didn't hesitate and made himself available. He knew he could fight the battles others couldn't, he knew he could heal himself and others and keep a party strong. There was evil in the world and Galahad would do his best to right it. . . . even when it came to the damned.

Part of the green eyed stallion wished for his mistress to return. He wondered where exactly she had disappeared to, and worried she might be in need. Though gifted with powers to stop the damned and heal herself and others to a small extent, Galahad also understood that she might dig up trouble or find herself in need. Was she all right. . .?

Of course she could take care of herself. She was an angeni, after all, and had been gifted to seek out this full of misfortune and doubt. She preached love to all creatures, not just those on the right path. It wasn't as if she were a bumbling and foolish foal. . .

But that didn't stop the stallion from worrying. So lost in thought, the pale unicorn hardly noticed that he wasn't alone. Akila was off in the distance, staring at the sky and Galahad had his head lowered and brow furrowed in thought. He was young and still a bit inexperienced. Even with Kaiya as a mentor, one couldn't forget exactly how young Galahad really was.

Even in the darkness of the forest, a creature as light as Gahalad was boun to attract attention. Glimpsing a flash of white out of the corner of her eye, Akila turned her head to better focus on the young unicorn. A traveler in this corner of the forest was unusual, and the curiosity this piqued pushed the mare's melancholy thoughts from her mind, for the moment. Drawing a cautious smile onto her face, she trotted forth, long white-stockinged legs striking the earth in a steady tempo.

One-two-one-two-one-two...

Slowing to a halt a few yards away, Akila dipped her head in a nod of greeting. "Hello..." She trailed off uncertainly, feeling awkward. It'd been so long since she'd interacted with anyone but family members that it was difficult to remember what to say.
