I doubt there's anyone in here that has not dropped a dime on some sort of Transformers related merchandise. Comics. Toys. Video games. Clothes.
But what is it that spins your gears? Maybe it's depictions of a certain characters that in the comics or on merchandise you can't resist. Maybe you're a fan of certain gimmicks.
Personally, I dig toys with combining gimmicks. Whether it's Headmasters or Gestalts or whatever, robots working together always catch my eye. I dig multi-change gimmicks too.
My biggest linked series of toy purchases was probably in Armada, the series that brought me back into collecting big-time. Because first I bought Unicron. Then I had to buy enough Minicons to fill all his hardpoints. THEN I had the gear-gimmick team, so I had to buy Cyclonus and then buy the OTHER gear-gimmick team because I had him. And then I had the combining weapon teams but nobody with fists capable of holding them, so I bought deluxe Prime. Reminds me of the magic trick with the endless handkerchiefs, only the magician was Hasbro and the handkerchiefs were cash. xd
I have four issues of Transformer comics. One issue from the old series, the one where the random schmuck on the run from the mob finds the damaged Megatron in gun mode, then gets bigger than his britches and goes on a crime spree. And then I got the first three issues of the, which was it, Dreamwave? Because I wanted the pic on the cover of issue three of Bumblebee standing on the fallen Bruticus with a BFG pointed at the combiner's ruined face. Sheer epic. But other than those two hooks, I haven't been persuaded to shell out for any other comics.

I have no wallet, I need me mum to get me things XD. But I bought a Transformers T-shirt and sweater once, the t shirt had the autobot symbol on it and the sweater had the movie form of barricade. I was soo freckin' happy with it but my mother hates it. I wanted to get a figure of Jetfire and Jetstorm from the animated series. but she is all like Your almost sixteen! XD

Don't worry, by the time you're on your own with your own income there will still be Jetfire/Jetstorm sets floating around on eBay.
I myself am trying to convince my wife to let me get a tattoo. xd It'd be a rubsign on the inside of my left forearm, maybe an inch or inch and a half, and inside the black area there'd be an Autobrand that would only be visible under UV light. So it'd be a "working" rubsign of sorts. 3nodding 3nodding

Photos when you get it. smile
To Deathly Horcrux, you can tell her that 28 year olds are buying them and displaying it on the shelf.
Grimlock cost 16.99 back in the day... he is now 325. Good buy, good buy. mrgreen I'm sure with that reason she'll let you buy them. It's an investment.
