Morgana snored, it was spring again, she hated spring hated it with every fiber of her being. This was the season for lovers, and she had none, not anymore anyway all those hopes and dreams had been dashed under sharp hooves.

She laughed suddenly, she had a deep voice for her small size "maybe it's just the fate of my family.." her parents relationship had ended badly .. so maybe it just was just the fates way of saying her family was never meant for love.

She suddenly stamped her hoof. NO! the fates wouldn't do that, like every mare she dreamed of love, but hers was not of a white knight to whisk her away, she wanted an equal ... someone whom didn't mind her boyish appearance and independent attitude. She had wallowed in her own misery and woes to long, she wasn't ready to trust another instantly yet ... but why not attempt to find Mr. Right?

With another flick of her short tail she trotted off towards what she hoped was a nearby stream suddenly parched.

She was sipping from the small stream when she heard the hoof beats coming towards her. She moved only her dark brownish red eyes up as the stallion appeared. Her eyebrows raised slightly, he had a feminine appearance while still being a very strong looking stallion.

She considered greeting him for a brief moment, but most other Soquili didn't bother talking to her anyway so she just lowered her eyes again and kept drinking as if she'd never seen or heard him.

Morgana jerked her head up and blinked slightly at him, he'd actually greeted her? How weird. After a moment she realized she was being quiet rude and snapped shifted "afternoon sir." She flicked her short tail back and forth and took the moment to eye him up better now that he was closer. She was still struck by the femininity while still very masculine too, not to mention he was easy on the eyes too.

Morgana forced a slight smile at him, the gesture felt foreign to her seeing as she rarely found herself smiling so she knew it must look funny to him too. "Pleasure to meet you Luka, oh no asking my name is fine I guess, most I meet never get this far." She laughed, almost bitterly at the thought and flicked her tail again "I'm Morgana."

She shrugged slightly "I can't blame them to much for not being interested, I'm no more than a plain jane." She flicked ehr shrt tail back and forth and looked around "I guess I'll be leaving fairly soon ... I like to travel and rarelly stay in one place for long if I can help it."

Inwardly she marvled at hersef, she was usually cynical and mean, but then again the ones she meet usually were never as kind to her as him .. bagh! She was getting soft ... but maybe that wasnt a bad thing ... maybe.

Morgana blinked slightly and her ears flicked back for a moment, could a horse blush she would have been cherry red. Nobody had ever complimented her like that before. She took half a step back away form the small stream so he could cross "if you'd really like to travel with me I won't stop you."

She realized with another silent start that it was so easy being in his presence, she didn't feel the gnawing of her insanity at the edges of her brain, the snarling of the things she'd been taught as a foal by the kalona that had raised her. His almost feminine appearance had even kept her from forming a bias against him at first sight.

She could get used to this, an easy relationship that was as simple as breathing, but she highly doubted it would last.

She shook her head "you don't need to bow to me Luka," she tossed her head slightly making her short hair flop back and forth. She stepped forward almost carelessly, she had no idea where they were going really, she just enjoyed traveling.

Had Morgana known his thoughts about her being good she would probably have laughed, she thought herself far from a good mare, but hoped this stallion never had to learn about the demons in her head and the blood staining her hooves.
