Well, there were many fascinating strangers to be found in this land, of that much Whistle was sure. Already she had met a fine pair of new friends (at least, she hoped they were friends!), and was eager to find more. After all, how else would she find her love? "I really have no choice but to go out and look." She murmured to herself as she trotted along. "I certainly can't wait around for him to find me!" She snorted. Certainly not! She was no damsel in distress! She was her mate's equal, and she could do just as much as the finding as he. "Perhaps, if we are lucky." She mused. "We shall meet somewhere in the middle." Though that certainly would be easier if she remembered more about him...

Yukina was a kind heart and curious like her parents, but she never really went outside the teepee since her sister was not arround anymore. She missed her a lot and felt lonely.
So her mother pushed her outside, saying she would meet new friends like that. Because she was a good girl and she always listenned to her mother she went outside.
Paying attention to all her ribbon she walked arround, but there was no one for the moment. She heard it was a day two-legged called easter, maybe they all went chasing eggs, which was strange for Yuki because eggs couldn't run aways by themselves.
She was lost in this though actually, trying to figure out what was this "eggs hunt" her two-legged was speaking about

Whistle frowned as she passed a low branch, for sitting in the crook of the branch was a strangely colored egg. Not unlike the baskets her foals had once come from, actually.. Must be one that Tashika had painted. Why again? Whistle shook her head. That wasn't important right now! What was important was finding her love. Resolutely she marched on, almost bumping into a lovely stranger, clan in glorious garments. How peculiar! "Oh!" She murmured, with a start. "Excuse me... I do apologize..."

As her mind was wondering who know where she felt a shock and suddenly felt on the ground. With big eyes and her mind back she realised she bumped on someone. "Oh no it's my fault, i am sorry i was not paying attention." The mare was purple with bright marks, Yukina fought it was lovely. And with a more silly idea she wondered if it light in the night.

Whistle smiled widely. "Oh but neither was I! Shall we declare it mutually our faults and put it behind us? I'm Whistle, by the way... And it is lovely to meet you..." It was lovely to meet anyone, really... She was awfully lonely, and she suspected, quite lost. Perhaps this exotically decorated stranger could help...

Yukina stood up on her hooves, put all her ribbons in place and then smile back to the mare. "I agree with that. I am Yukina, nice to meet you Whistle."
She looked arround to see if there was someone else, like if she wanted to tell a secret. "ano.... sorry to ask you that suddenly but do you know something about a egg hunt ? " she finally asked with a little blush on her checks, she felt dumb not knowing anything.

"And you, Yukina..." Whistle leaned over and smoothed one of the ribbons with a smile, stepping back. "Your finery is quite lovely... I have not yet come across anyone dressed so finely..." She glanced around as well, facing her new associate when she was through. "I know the humans are doing such a thing... It is a tradition the pale-faced ones brought with them, or so I am told... The Shaman-In-Training I have come to live near, Tashika, colors just a few eggs like the Soquili around her... An interesting custom, do you not think?"

Yuki listenned carefully, so it was a tradition. "Thank you for my clothes, i got it from my mother. She is a little special, both my parents are, they wear clothes like two-legged." Still wondering about the hunt she asked. "But how did they hunt it ? Do you know, i mean eggs don't have legs". She really felt dumb, but she didn't go out so much, so she didn't know a lot of things.

"It is a lovely idea... Do they do so to honor certain two-leggers?" She tilted her head in question. "As far as hunting... I believe they have a friend hide the eggs, and then search for them.. It is a great delight for the children of the village, from what I have seen at a distance. The adults hide the eggs, and send the children out when all of them are tucked away. Sometimes they are not eggs at all, but leather and wood made toys in the shape of eggs, or a funny sort of box that has treats inside..." She was pleased that she could help this stranger solve the mystery of the eggs. If only someone could help her solve the mystery of her memory!

Yuki seemed puzzled, she actually never asked her parents the reason they were were wearing clothes.
"I don't know, in fact, because for me it was natural to see them with clothes, I never asked, and I didn't really went outside the teepee before, except with my sister, who wear stuff like me. So I just start to see it's not really normal if i can say."
She looked at her then at her new friend, she decides she will ask when she come back at home, like this she would be able to inform her friend after.
She still listened to the story of the eggs, really interrested. "I see, it's really funny. Two-legged have nice ideas sometimes, but what are they doing with the eggs after ? Some kind of food ?"

"Oh... Well, they are very nice." She smiled. "And I'm not sure what is normal or what is not.. I'm not from here... I'm just... Traveling..." She got a faraway look in her eye for a moment, a frown crossing her muzzle. Traveling.. Did she really even have a homeland anymore? Well, the Dreamlands, perhaps... But she had left them behind for him... For Whistle, home wasn't a place, it was a person. Her mate. Who's face was blurred by her broken memory, and who's name was lost... It's to you, I'll always belong... She jumped as Yukina asked her another question, almost missing it as the distant rumble of a melodic voice rolled through her mind. It was gone the next moment, but she knew it had been his voice. "That I don't really know." She smiled apologetically.

"Thank you, it's the first time someone said it to me. Others looked at it strangely." she paused. "Traveling ? this is cool, you must have seen so many things. Can you tell me about that ?"
She used to go on discovery with her sister when they were foals but not anymore so she missed it.

Whistle smiled. "Well.. In the lands beyond the mountains, the two leggers spoke several different languages... And there was a desert that lasted forever... And a river as wide as a mountain is tall... And the two-leggers have these strange things that carry them around and make a lot of noise... And when they fight, those things spit fire and roar with thunder... I didn't like that place much, so I left as quickly as a I could.. Up in the mountains their are winged horses, but they seem quite shy to me... And birds of every color, and butterflies big enough to carry away a foal! With wings all the colors of jewels, and the sky at sunrise and sunset too... And when you leave the mountains, the great trees are right there, almost like the 'walls' the humans build around their 'cities'..." She frowned as she tried to think of what else she had seen. "Bird that talked, and beasts that walked on leashes, which the humans held in their hands.. And cats that played with dogs... And horses that were simply horses, that did not know how to talk like us at all... They are very plain colors, with no fire in their eyes or hearts.. But they were kind, in their own fashion..." She smiled a little. "Here is so different.. Here there are Soquili with horns that heal with a touch... And soquili that wear the pelts of predators and can take their shape... And there are great winged soquili like birds or bats, both beautiful and terrible to behold... And soquili of all different colors, tempers, and personalities... It is very nice here, I think..."

Tsukina could not stop making big eyes everytime she heard new things. This mare knew so much, she was really impressed. "It's impressive, I want to see all this things !" she paused "well maybe not all, some looked scary." She laughed, not that she was not courageous, but she didn't want to make her parents worry for her. "Yes there is a lot of different kind of soquili here, I have met some with wings like bird or like butterfly, with horn too, or really big wings like i never saw before. It's really interresting to see how everyone is so different."

Whistle canted her head to one side in curiousity, blinking as she considered the other mare's words. "Butterfly wings? Oh, I've not seen any of those... And the ones with the large wings sound very interesting too..." She grinned. "I am glad I had the good fortune to run into you, Yukina... It seems I am always learning something new, so I try to meet as many as I can.. In the hopes that one day, my memory will return or they will know the one I seek..." She frowned for a moment. "Though knowing someone with wings would be an added boon, for they may have seen him from the air..." She shrugged it off for the moment. "The nicer things are everywhere, as are the bad... One needs merely take a walk and find a dozen things they have not seen before, if they know where to look. This seems like a wonderful place to live..."
