I have a very good sense of prediction. Like I predict something, and it ends up happening. Sometimes my prediction doesnt happen right away, sometimes it take a few hours, or a few days, but it eventually happens. So what I'm asking is if my sense of prediction is a gift, or just merly coincidental?

It's very possible that this is the gift of foresight. You could easily test it out by making a record of the predictions you make and them see if they do happen. When I say record i mean record everything, for example if you're out with friends and suddenly have something pop into your head like so-and-so is going to be sick don't tell them but make a note of it. Then see if it happens.
If I remember rightly, if you score more that half right then it could meant you have a gift.

Hopefully, it does turn out to be a gift, that would be awesome

Xx_InSaNiTy aNd MaYhEm_xX I have a very good sense of prediction. Like I predict something, and it ends up happening. So what I'm asking is if my sense of prediction is a gift, or just merly coincidental? You and me, babeh. It's strange. I can't control my foresight when awake. But when sleeping, after a dream (and I've learnt to tell dream from prediction) I see what will happen. No matter what the changes are or how I try to alter it, it'll always happen just like I saw it. Which tends to be a little frightening as well. sweatdrop

Piece of advice, try not to look too deep into it; otherwise, imagination will take over and fill your thoughts with awful and incorrect predictions of the your nearby future making you uncomfortably paranoid >.o

Isn't it normal? I have same thing all the time like when I have this feeling something's going to happen, it happens, sometimes it happens right away and sometimes it happens later but it happens and seems like many other people do... what is the boundary of gift and normal I wonder... rolleyes

I have incidents simular to that. I'd get a dense, dark feeling deep inside, different than any other feeling- it's quite distinct. It happens every now and then, but when I do feel it, I learn to listen to it.
When I did listen to it, it saves me from trouble, everything from getting my phone taking up to not being pulled over.
When I didn't listen to it, I got into a car wreck, I got caught skipping school, and got caught past cerfew by the cops.
I learned to listen, and I was rewarded generously. =D

I've never actually predicted what exactly is going to happen. I just know something is going to happen. I'll get these sinking feelings and I can't stop thinking about someone.
for example i have had that happen with my mom. I'll just have a horrible feeling and I'll call her. When she answers she is usually crying.

Normal. You may be a little more attuned to it than your average person, but everyone has it. Woman's intuition, a hunch, a gut feeling... all of these are used to described predictions.
I've been having precognitive dreams and thoughts since I was a little girl. First one I can remember I was about four or five. And trust me, if I have it... it's common.

I would say it's a gift, but an extremely common one. So in a sense, it's both normal AND a gift! I agree that some people are more in tune with it than others, as many people here seem to be, thus leading them to think it more of a gift. But if it's something common, there's nothing wrong with trying to be more in tune to it than your average Joe.

ah... she has a gift like my mom does. My mom has tarot cards, and she reads them alot. She knew that me and my sister were to be before we were even born.sadly though she isn't the brightest of people.I foresee things in my dreams.so does my grandmother. I take back after my grandmothers side of the family. There are somethings I can do that scare the crap out of people, and this i don' know if it i a gift or not, but i know when people I know is about to die or not, and I can feel death if I touch a person.a connection to the dead like tht isn't normal.I remeber when I first knew some one was about to die... i could feel it, I would hear children singing at my feey, and see a bright light in the door way. my grandmother said her mom could do that...I will just forget about it for now.well anyway... good luck with your gift.

I agree that there are elements of common and gift involved. I think what we do with it is really what makes it special.
