So, it's been a long while since the Finale, and this guild has really quieted down. Zutara is still running fairly well over on DA, but I've been wondering lately how everyone here is doing.

-Has your fandom for Avatar changed since the end?
-How about your love for Zutara? What Zutara things have you been doing, and how often do you do it anymore?
-Zutara-unrelated, but what other fandoms/movies/etc. have you gotten yourself involved with without any Avatar?

-Most importantly, how is everyone doing??

As for me, I still haven't lost the Zutara love. I still draw it, think about it, sometimes even finding myself in debates with fellow Zutarians about the finale and other such things. I still find myself listening to songs and figuring out how Zutara they are, lol.

I'm still working on my Zutara comic on DA, and I'm currently drawing prizes for Zutara-Eternity's recent contest.

I still bring things to the fangirl table that I learned in the Zutara thrill, over analyzing, speculating on future events and hook-ups, thinking through fictional romances and other relationships, particularly on my own characters...I'm not sure if Zutara STARTED my obsession with Fire and water, red/blue and yin and yang, or if it only strengthened it. Well, for Yin and Yang, I already loved it, but the Zutara thing helped me understand it more thouroughly. I still find myself saying, "that's so Zutara." Especially when I'm watching Anastasia, cause that movie just rocks epically.

My love for Avatar, or rather, my anger with Avatar has simmered down. I've since accepted the Finale for what it was, but I still have my own version of what happened, lol. Mike and Bryan...Still jerks, but oh well. I'm over them. I've not really watched Avatar for a while, but I have got the music on my playlist from the show. And I've been able to draw Aang again(only in Taang, but you know. lol.) I'm also lookign forward to the new Avatar moive.

I've been mostly busy with school, but I've gotten myself into Naruto, back into Kamiyadori, a little bit of Princess Tutu, I'm still madly in love with Oban Star Racers, and I've read some manga's that my boyfriend sent home to me...Also, got a little into Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts, and a Naruto video game, as well as a little indirectly with Mirage of Blaze and Ai no Kusabi.
Also fell MADLY in love with the movie Slumdog Millionaire, and one reason I'm looking forward to the Avatar movie is because Dev Patel, the actor who plays Jamal, is going to be starring as Zuko. I cannot wait. biggrin
Sadly enough, as well, I've gotten involved with the Anti-Twilight, which takes up too much of my internet life. XD

I've been moderately fine, though like I said, I have school which keeps me busy much of the day since I'm there all day. I'm a tad down lately because my boyfriend is currently in the Navy and hasn't been home in 6 months, the last time I saw him was only for a couple of days when I went to visit him at his Boot Camp graduation weekend. But overall, I've been fairly good. Also, my 21st birthday was yesterday, so that's happy.
biggrin

Happy (slightly belated) Birthday.

It's been a long time since the finale, that my love for Zutara has twindled down quite a bit. To the point where I'm not sure I actually ship it anymore...And have started shipping Maiko. (I still hate Kataang though sweatdrop )

I haven't really been around much, and so my contribution with fandom has been pretty minimal, currently doing a course in Tourism (because I love tourists). But so far I've gotten into Bleach, Final Fantasy, The Mighty Boosh heart and Valve games; but I've been a tad too shy to jump into the fandom.

You know what, I understand about the Maiko thing. I still don't find it as a relationship that's all that healthy...But at least Mai and Zuko make efforts to communicate, and at least it is pretty mutual. I can actually respect it now that I've had time to cool off and think about it. It may not be as fun or interesting as Zutara or other things I ship, and I still feel taht Mai's just too boring for Zuko...And I will always ship her with Ty Lee first and foremost...but I can respect the ship now.
Kataang is still another story for me as well. They(M&B) put way too little effort in developing the most important parts of that couple, especially on Katara's end. It never felt mutual until the very last five seconds of the show. Anyway, I'll step away from that soap-box before I step up onto it again. lol.

I've been pretty good. The Zutarian in me is still very much alive, though it's quieted down a slight bit. I still write fanfiction, make icons, ogle other people's fanworks, and find parallels between Zutara and just about everything else. I've also found some other characters and pairings I love within the series, including Jet/Mai and a love for Mai's potential character that was never developed and mostly brutalized by Season 3.

As for other fandoms, I've discovered 'Ben 10: Alien Force' and 'Total Drama Island/Action' and fallen completely in love with both. I ship Gwevin from the first and Duncourtney from the second, both of which kinda remind me of Zutara. Gwevin because Kevin and Gwen are completely in denial and a bit of a hate/love relationship by times with plenty of witty banter and a**-kicking, and Duncourtney because Duncan and Courtney seriously hate each other yet feel the need to make-out at random moments (also, they're both totally badass and Courtney apparently thinks danger is hot xD). I haven't done much in terms of actually involving myself in these fandoms, though - I just squee over the shows.

I'm good. Summer break is just a few months away, so I think I'll hang on. xD And I'm super proud of how much work I've gotten done on the first draft of my original story, so that's good. Overall, life has been relatively uneventful.

Yay another anti-twilighter! I still ship Zutara but just like I did before: in secret. No one really knows that I love the show and that I ship the characters.

Watching Avatar has really opened me up to anime. (mostly from amv searching on youtube) I've become a fan of Vampire Knight(though this has dwindled down), Ghost Hunt, and Natsume Yuujinchou.

Sometimes when I'm bored and nothing's on I 'll watch Ben 10: Alien Force as well. I ship gwevin(honestly what else is there? there's practically no shipping in that show). I haven't watched Avatar since the finale though. But then again I don't own the dvds (secret avatard remember) and it's not on anymore.

it's been sort of a progression for me... the more i got of season 3, and the longer it's been since the finale... the more i love zutara AND the more i ******** hate aang/kataang/maiko. they just make me sick to my stomach. aang as a character and the ships in terms of the worst possible ways to develop a relationship. i keep thinking about all the things that make no sense in canon: for one, zuko's SURPRISED that mai was let out of prison once the war was over, and two, mai's not pissed that it wasn't ZUKO setting her free? she had to pull strings with her FAMILY to get out when her (supposed) boyfriend is the FIRE LORD? it's like zuko forgot she existed at all. "oh! mai! that's right, you're still alive, aren't you?" and neither of them picks up on what a red flag that is. and we all know what's so wrong about the way aang and katara were slammed together with the force of a high-speed train wreck.

i've watched a lot of stuff since avatar ended, all anime... i watch about 4-5 shows a season via fansubs. but i can't say i've really picked up on a FANDOM. not like avatar. there were shows i liked, shows i made icons of and gaia themes of and discussed in my journal... but nothing i felt particularly compelled to discuss with OTHER PEOPLE. i don't know what it is about avatar that makes it so special... maybe the length. it's hard to get that attached to a show that's only 13 episodes long, or even 26 episodes... if avatar had ended with season 1, i probably wouldn't have gotten as into it as i have. on the other hand, there are anime shows like "hayate no gotoku" which have gone on for 52+ episodes, and yet i still don't feel as attached to it as i did avatar. maybe because hayate is just a regurgitation of otaku culture with plot tacked on. it's fun picking up on all the references, but that's about as into it as i get.

Been busy ready fanfics still xD
I really miss the active fandom though emo It's just not the same.
What've I been up to?
Um, activly shipping KiGo (KimxShego) Haha, and putzing around in the Hourou Musuko manga. But other then that, I haven't been active in any fandoms. Just reading a lot of manga and watching some anime, but it's not Zutara.

Well much like Zutara, I find fanon Maiko more interesting in fanon than in canon. I really love Maiko, but I'm still having trouble warming up to anything that happened prior to The Boiling Rock and prefer to read the little fanfiction that happened before it became canon.

I still love Zutara to DEATH, we all know that, but...my Zutard has quieted down a bit. Hopefully, this just means that sooner or later, it's gonna erupt, but I haven't exactly been stoking the flame, either. I...haven't read a Z/K story in months, I've been deleting my dA alerts...I haven't been a good Zutarian. But I'll try to get back on track, so hopefully I'll start posting again soon.

Yeah I miss the active fandom too. And I become an Avatard/Zutard late! I became an Avatard during AWS and shortly after a Zutard.

Did you come in between seasons 2 and 3? Cause that's when I came in too!

I actually do miss the thrill of being in an active fandom. I swear, there was nothing in the fangirl world like sitting down one evening and watching a brand new episode, knowing that countless other fans and all your friends were watching the same thing. It kinda gave me a buzz.

Though it did take up way too much of my time, I'm rather disappointed about that. >////<

By the way, I just found that my friend in Ceramics was into avatar, and while she was out of the fandom loop, thought that Katara and Zuko were going to be together, as well as didn't sense any chemistry between Aang and Katara.

Yep, still holds true, even neutrals could see it.

I miss curling up on the couch an knowing millions of other fans were squealing along with me, too. And being able to theorize and debate - it was so awesome to bounce ideas off like-minded fans and come up with crazy schemes for what could happen next. *nostalgia*

Seriously? xD That's awesome! The power of good chemistry versus bad writing never fails.

-Has your fandom for Avatar changed since the end?
Yes, dramatically, I've lost all desire to draw it, it's like all of my energy was drained out of watching that stupid finale. I hated that finale, it had so many plot holes it was like looking threw a mole hill.

-How about your love for Zutara? What Zutara things have you been doing, and how often do you do it anymore?

Meh, again, it's not as great as it used to be. Atm I'm looking forward to the Zutara finale Blutara is making, hopefully that'll lift my spirits up, but apart from that I'm not nearly as great of a supporter as i used to be. I hardly ever draw it and i've abandoned most of my projects, still i love it and i often go to fanfiction.net to get my fix.

-Zutara-unrelated, but what other fandoms/movies/etc. have you gotten yourself involved with without any Avatar?
Kingdom Hearts, the old version.

-Most importantly, how is everyone doing??

If im honest, i've had a harsh couple of months and i think im depressed. But apart from that help from my friends and family have made me cope. I hope everyone else is doing well.
