Dah cursed at himself, laying at the watering hole he knew Ki was most likely to visit today. It had been a day since their arguement and he felt liek a royal a**. They never fought, and he'd finally started their first. He growled and rolled to his back, paw moving over his stomach as he scratched, growling slightly and shutting his eyes. He was just... so fed up lately. He wasn't sure if he could continue being just... just a brother figure to her.
He was so stupid, if only he had figured out how he truly felt about her. And to top it off he wasn't sure if a simple apology to the girl would even work!

Ki had shown up like he guessed she would, but she didn't pay him any mind. No, this time she just walked right past him and moved to the watering hole to take a drink, her ears pinning flat and backwards as she lapped up the cold water. She didn't want to act like he wasn't there, but he had really hurt her! Ki was not use to being talked to that way, by anyone. Her mother spoiled her after all. She pulled herself up from her drink and sat still, glancing at herself in the water. Ugh. This was too weird.

Dah's ears flicked back and as he breathed in he cought the scent of Ki. He hadn't actually heard her approach, so when he groaned out loud it was only due to the fact that he thought he was now imagining her being here, what she smelt like. "Dammit." He mumbled to himself, rolling to his side with his eyes still shut. He couldn't stop himself from imagining the things he did, and he was partly disgusted with himself, but he knew (or thought he did) that the things he imagined would never happen in a hundred years.
Then he caught the sound of someone lapping up water and his eyes snapped open, his gaze instantly on the gold and red goddess that had captured his heart. He nearly cursed out loud, but with effort he held in his surprise. So she had been here...
His heart was already thundering in his chest and he watched her lean, muscular body shift. He watched as she sat slowly and he shifted slightly, quietly. He finally sat himself up. "Still mad?" He said, cautiously. He knew it was an obvious 'yes', but he really had no clue how he was to fix things and this was his only thought on how to try.

She didn't say a word to him. Nope, not one word. Ki had her ways of being a b***h, and this was the only way she knew how to keep herself from exploding at him. She was still very upset at him for yelling at her like he did. She stood up and trotted past him, finding shade under a near by tree. She looked around dully and sighed, never once looking at him.

He snarled slightly as she stalked passed him, realizing she was trying to play the game of cold shoulder. He shook his head lightly and stared at where she had been sitting, moving to the spot and sitting himself. He leaned down and swatted at his reflection. If she wanted to be this way- no, he wouldn't put up with it!
He rose again and stalked toward where she'd layed down, as he aproached he frowned at her. "Dammit Ki, don't play this game with me." He growled. "You had no right to get angry with me in the first place yesterday." He really did believe that, even if he usually did tell her everything. So kill him, he'd fogotten to mention something huge to her. He'd gotten around to it though, hadn't he?

"It's like you think your mother is dead or something." She hissed and moved up, forwning at him. "My mother looked after you because Koy could not, but ******** Dah, at least try to be nice to her! She is your only family! Why would you be so cold to the lioness that gave birth to you?" Ki felt strongly about this because she knew how hard it was to be so tough. Ki, even if Vi had given her to someone else would still have adored her mother for at least caring enough to give her to someone else. She sighed. "It's like you are never happy anymore. I don't get it."

He had come to stand in front of her, looking down at her. Her words shocked him though, how could she tell he'd been being cold toward his mother just from what he'd said the other day? Ki wouldn't understand any of this, would she? "Like hell she's my only family!" He spat at her, frowning. "She took care of that right away by placing me in your mother's care. Get to play nice and be your freaking brother." He sounded disgusted but he was standing there, very still.
"I don't think you'd understand how it feels to be disregarded like that and then right when your mother comes back into your life and you think things can patch up she goes and gets herself a freaking male, gets herself a new family. Did yo ever wonder what a slap in the face that was to me? Ever stop to think about how I feel, or is it all about the damn females with you, just like your mother?" He growled softly, he was suddenly leaning down, his face very close to hers.
"You may think you know anything about me Ki, but maybe you've never thought about the sort of crap that runs through my mind every single day, all because of Koy. It's not like I'm freaking disowning her or anything... just trying to mention to you that she has a new freaking life and you stick up for her? That's crap... where's my sympathy?" So he was feeling sorry for himself, but if he couldn't have Ki for his own pleasures then he sure as hell wasn't going to have her as a half-assed best friend. She would feel sorry for him when he needed it! Didn't he do that for her?

She just sat again and gazed at him, her ears pinned back. "I've always been a friend to you Dah, but right now it's hard to see what you are feeling, inside." She answered softly. "Maybe I need to spend some time away from you, maybe it'll help you, or something. I can see now that i'm a big bother to you, something i've done makes you hate me so much. I can see it and feel it when you talk to me, look at me. It's grown so much over the years. At first I didn't want to think it true..." She stopped and looked away. "I don't understand, but I know better than to take it out on my best friend."

He couldn't believe what he was hearing, it was breaking his heart in two. She really thought he hated her? He laughed coldly, almost as if he was helpless. And there was that word, the word he'd come to hate so much.
Finally he did something he should have done long ago, realizing that it shouldn't matter if she really did see him as a brother, or a best friend. He wanted her and... why couldn't he be selfish once in a while? He shifted forward, already close to her, and his head rubbed up against her neck, his body shifting and pressing into hers, they were sort of side by side now with Dah almost twisted around her.
He'd brought his face toward he right ear. "You are a bother.." He spat, his words had a cruel and angry edge to them but it was more for himself than it was to her. He suddenly nipped her ear, realizing he should probably leave. He couldn't take it much longer and he was strongly against males who forced themselves on females- but he wouldn't be able to help it soon. "But it's not what you think Ki... I want to love you..." He could have bashed his head against a rock for the way he'd just admitted his feelings to the girl of his dreams. "Be with you... have a life and a family with you... do you know how tiring it is playing the role of brother when I just want to take you for my own?" He breathed softly into her ear.

Ki could have exploded, no joke. She felt her whole face turn red, her body ache as he moved closer to her and spoke into her ear. She could hardly speak, if anything she felt like panting. What on earth was he saying to her? Was he joking? She felt... way too weird! Sure, Ki felt strongly for him, she loved him, ********, she wanted to be with him too... but, the way he spoke drove her mad. Tears seemed to swell within he blue eyes as she pulled away from him, gazing at him with a parted maw. "You don't know what you are saying to me!" She hissed and swore to herself, looking away. "You just love ******** with my head don't you? ******** you Dah, that isn't cute." She thought this was a trick, really, she didn't think this was real. She was so worked up now she dragged her claws at his face in warning and spoke out. "You think it's funny? Playing with my emotions like that? What, did one of my brothers tell you how I felt about you? Did they? Well, yeah. I do like you, ********, Dah, I love you... but this is just heartless." Her legs felt weak as she moved herself back from him and snorted, so confused... was he really doing this to mess with her?

He could feel her body tense up, could sense that she wasn't comfortable but he just didn't care anymore, she'd never be his like he wanted her to be, so he'd just have to do things this way.
As she hissed out angry words he flinched slightly away from her ear, his eyes shutting as he sighed through his nose. He knew exactly what he was saying... His eyes snapped open as she shifted away from him, speaking angry words. "Who says I'm trying to ******** with your head Ki?" he finally was shouting, he hardly shouted even when he was upset. He advanced on her again, moving his larger body back toward her. He did not come in contact with her though, his eyes flicking to her claws.
Funny, what was she- He stopped completely, looking absolutely stunned. Why would her brothers tell him anything different than he knew- they were all like siblings together. I love you. The words rung loosely in his ears and he stared at Ki, shock on his face. The lust had seemed to slide right from his body, as he backed up a step. Was she talking about loving him like a brother or- "Your brothers and I barely speak, they haven't said anything. What do you mean by that... you love me?" He was trying to be demanding, hoping she would just make it ******** clear. Like a brother or like a lover?
"And I'm not joking with you... since I can remember feeling.... sexual toward females i've felt... I've wanted you... needed you... that... THAT is why I never ******** look happy anymore Ki, why we spend less time together... why things have changed.." The words were flooding from his mouth and he wasn't sure how to stop them, but dammit couldn't she just accept it?

"I--" She stopped and looked at her, her face was still beating hot. She was just too overworked now, she felt like if she speak anymore she would just cry out, sob her stress away; she couldn't do that. Ki... did what she did best, she turned the blind eye and ran. She ran so fast that she could hardly see out of her watery eyes. She needed sometime to think, she needed to get away from him long enough to think; so she did. She wanted to tell him what he meant to her, but.... right now... it was not a good time. finished
