Ive had those burns before...e.e My entire family smokes except me.
* There is a cream called Silvadene, which is prescribed by a doctor. But if you dont want to go to the doctor, Bio-Oil or lavender essential oil will do the job too.
* Wash the burnt area with antibacterial soap and warm water carefully before using the cream or oil.
*Remove any excess skin that may have died around the burn (usually easy to peel off). Don't pick at the burn itself.
*Dead skin usually comes off after a week or two and a pink area will appear under it once it's removed. Pat dry and use the cream or oil to on the burn. Use just enough of the cream so that the burn is not visible.
* Once you have applied the cream/oil, take clean gauze or a band aid and cover the burn.

I use Aloe Vera gel on all of my burns, sun or otherwise. I work in a fast paced food environment, so burns are many but because of the gel I have no scars to show for it.

It's a bit late now, but for future references fresh aloe vera leaf is great on burns. Also, a freshly cut onion is good to reduce inflammation on burns or bug bites, etc.
When the new pink skin is exposed try putting cocoa butter, shea butter, or vitamin e oil on it once a day to keep it from scarring.
