For the past few days, Leru had been thinking about what she and Sekh had talked of before... and really, she was quite seriously thinking upon asking him to help her have a litter of kittens. Children of her own, coming from her body...
It would be nice. After all, she'd already gone through raising one daughter not even of her same species, so she knew that she was quite capable of being a good mother. Now... it was just a matter of finding the male and making her proposition.

Sekh was hoping that his plan would work. She seemed to be liking him in friend terms and his comments before went unscathed. All he had to do was reel in the fish. He had been out all morning, looking for something to give her that wasn't dead... since that was what he usually ate himself. He found he wasn't very good at hunting live things, since everything he wanted smelled horrid and didn't move.
Bloody well figured.
Thankfully he had found a bird that had been injured in some way, and quickly dispatched the thing with a swift bite. He was now carrying it back to the female, as a gift to say... and to sweeten her up some more.
He really wanted to get his hands on a child of his to teach his foul ways...

Eventually, Leru climbed up into a tree to look around for the other and finally spotted him trotting back toward the spot where their group was currently staying. Oh... and he had something in his mouth too!
Curious as to what that could be, Leru hopped down out of the tree and padded out to meet the male.

He hoped she liked bird meat. He wasn't partial to it, unless it was aged in the sun for a while. He spotted her, his head lifting to expose the little dangling treat. He padded over to her, his tail high and his ears forward; like he was proud of his kill. In reality it tasted horribly live to him. Yuck.
He plunked it down in front of her with relish. "Good morning Leru... care for some bird?" He asked, pointing to it with a red paw. He chuckled, spitting out a feather that had stuck to his lip. He gave a brief look around to assess if she was alone-and she was. Yay

"What..? You got this for me?" Leru asked, instantly impressed and pleased. Birds weren't all that easy to catch after all, what with the whole... having wings.
Purring, she leaned down to sniff at the bird, eyes lidding a bit... it smelled rather wonderful to her. "Thank you," she murmured, taking a little bite.

Sekh nodded, watching her enjoy her meal. He was rather happy he was doing so well with her, considering he hadn't ever done this before. He sat back on his haunches, He looked very pleased in fact. He was tickled with the fact that he had at one point talked to a jackal about females... and how hard he thought it would be to find one and yet-
Here Leru was and here he was and as far as he knew; he was getting a kitten out of her... which he was hoping for. He looked down at the bird. He thought they tasted to light and airy for him, he prefered his meat slippery and rotten. Yum... his mouth almost started to drool thinking about it. "Glad you like Bird... didin't know what you prefered!

"Oh birds are very good," Leru replied, glancing up at him with a smile. "They're just normally hard to catch ... don't know how managed to get hold of this one."
She tilted her head a little, as if inviting a story to be told... since she did rather want to know - for curiosity's sake if nothing else.

He could have almost guessed she would ask him about it. He smiled, quick to think of a tale to tell her.
"Well... I am not the fastest or quickest serval out there but I did pretty well... I saw this little bird eatting at the bottom of the tree I was in... and thought to myself... wouldn't that be a lovely snack for Leru? So I watched it concentrate on what it was eatting, and before long I was almost down to the bottom of it... on top of it I was... so before I knew it, i was balancing on these spindly branches; ready to pounce, when all of a sudden the branches began to bend under my weight... but the little thing didn't notice... well, suddenly the branches gave out and down I toppled..."
He brought his paws together in effect. "-down onto that little bird and caught it off chance!" He said, puffing out his chest.

Leru's eyes widened as the male told his tale, and at the end of it, she laughed - amused but also impressed that he'd been able to get so close without the bird noticing him. Even if he'd caught it by pure chance at the end.
"Well, I guess we're both lucky then!"

He chuckled too... keeping a light mood on his face. He was pleased... OH so pleased. He could jump up and down in glee. She was so taking a fancy to him. This was exactually like he had hoped it would be. He smiled his charming smile, cocking his head. "Yes.. I am lucky it seems... and you as well.." He said thoughtfully and slowly, looking at her with red eyes like rubies.
He brought his paw up to clean the scar on his cheek for a moment, as if in thought. "So how are you Leru?" He asked, looking to her with a grin.

Finished off that bird with a few quick bites, Leru sat back and licked at her muzzle a little before answering. "I've ... been doing some thinking," she said then slowly - tilting head a bit toward him.
"About our talk of cubs and the like..."

Sekh looked thoughtful as she continued with her meal, like he was deep in thought about something. He was just sort of thinking about how hungry he really was for some real rotten flesh. He cocked his head to her first set of words... thinking.. thinking about?
Then the last set of words made a smile cross his muzzle. He inclined his pale nose and looked curious and hopeful. Yeeesss.
"Really?" He asked, looking at her with half lidded eyes for a moment, as if he was so happy. "What have you decided?{/color]

Leru nodded. "Really ... yes... Uhm. I've been thinking of how nice it would be to have some kittens of my own..."
Quite suddenly stepping toward the male, she looking right into his eyes. "Wondered if maybe, you'd like to help me out with that..."

Now was indeed time for celebration. His red eyes widened and a smile crossed his face like he had been given a prize for being most elegant in a fashion show. He chuckled and nodded his head. "Of course I would..." He said simply, looking like he would be the proudest serval in the sea's to do such a thing "Sure thing!" He added, his tail twitching at the tip.
Success. SUCCESS. HIs mind was reeling and his heart was beating, a son.. he wanted a son. He stood up and gave a look about, trying again to see if anyone was around; anything to distract and disrupt this moment. He lifted his head nobly and gave a good smell to check as well. "I'd do anything of the sort for you Leru!" He said softly. "Just lead me the way.

Leru felt a little thrill at that, and she purred quite loudly - stepping toward the male to nuzzle at him. Then she backed away again and turned ... knowing the perfect place.
"Just follow me," she said - all shyness suddenly gone.
