Frustrated, the hare continued on his way, not paying much attention to how fast he was going. So caught up in his thoughts, the hare didn't notice a familiar sea foam green colored hare in front of him.
"Oof!" Kizuka rolled to the ground, the soft grass. Her yellow eyes fluttered open as she shook her head from side to side to get rid of the confusion. "What?" She asked as she looked around only to find the light green eyes of Dubaku. "Oh, hello." She said softly as a blush came across her cheeks. "I didn't expect to see you so soon." She said as she got up and brushed the dust off of her coat.

Frustrated and jealous, Dubaku didn't notice the other hare until it was too late and she had gone tumbling into the grass beneath them. "Hey! Why don't you watch-" Even though the hare knew it was entirely hs fault, he couldn't help but shout out towards the stranger. He stopped, however, when he recognised the familiar shade of green. When the smaller female began to shake her head and caught site of the rude male whom had knocked her over a blush came to her cheeks and guilt came to Dubaku. "Eesh. I didn't mean to knock you over." He had remembered their first meeting and how he had tried to help the hungry hare find food. Leaning down he extended a paw in an offer to lift her to her feet.
She smiled lightly when he offered his paw. She gladly took it as she lifted herself to her feet again. "Thanks." She said as she shook herself, "It's not your fault," She said as she smiled back up to him, "I shouldn't have been standing out in the open." She was always one to take the blame, even if it wasn't her fault.
Dubaku was glad when the female took his paw, if not for the fact that he was able to hold it, for the fact that it made him feel like he had at least partially made it up to her. When she simply smiled and took the responsibility upon herself his ears lowered. He felt embarassed and uncomfortable. What was he supposed to say? It hadn't been her fault at all! Correcting her, Dubaku offered his two cents, "No, no. I was just in a hurry, I didn't pay attention to where I was going. I'm.. sorry." It was strange to apologise as the independent hare took on a personal philosophy to refrain from regretting anything in his life. Life was about making choices and living with the consequences. Everything molded you into who you were.
She continued to smile. It wasn't fully his fault, but she didn't want to make that their whole conversation. Saying sorry, or that it was eachother's fault over and over again. "So how have you been?" She asked as she sat down and held her paws together. She was glad to see him again. She hadn't expected to so soon, if at all. After all, they had only met for a short while, it didn't give her a chance to get to know him very often

Dubaku felt somewhat shocked at how easily Kizuka accepted his apology and shifted their conversation. Had it been him he would have probably roughed up whomever had ran into him. He guessed it was probably a girl thing to avoid confrontation. "I've been alright. I've just come back from a visit to the Pridelands. An old friend of mine lives there now." Dubaku wondered why he opened up so easily to the female, but decided it was probably just because the old lion happened to be on his mind at the time. When she took a seat, he followed her lead and seated himself across from her so that they might continue their conversation. "How about yourself? Making sure to eat so that you don't get too hungry." The hare let out a light chuckle, reminding the female of their first encounter in which she was practically starving.
She smiled lightly, "It must be nice to catch up with old friends." She said as her mind started to wander. She hadn't come across many others to consider them friends, not since she left home. But then she wouldn't know where to find her wandering family. She laughed lightly, "I've had a little trouble, but my stomach has been reminding me lately." She said as she looked away lightly.
Kizuka was a very optimistic hare, but Dubaku couldn't help but notice that her smiles seemed half hearted and the way she spoke seemed a bit unsure of herself. The male hare was careful not to stare too much, but he was curious about what it was that was actually on her mind. He didn't know for sure, but by the way she spoke he might have guessed she did not really have many friends of her own. And by her thin frame Dubaku could also guess that she wasn't the best as caring for herself. Despite his independent nature and inability to really dedicate himself to anyone for too long, the hare found himself genuinely concerned about the female. As though to lift the female's spirits, Dubaku offered a friendly smile and hopped up onto his feet in front of her. "Come now. I am sure we can find something to satisfy you. I remember how much you enjoyed those berries we found last time."
