I got this form a book.
O Lord, Would you stun me with your strenght? Numb me with your wisdom? Steal my breath with a brush of yours? A glimpse of your glory God, just a glimpse.

Heres another:
Why does the earth spin? For Him. Why do you have talents and abilities? For Him. Why do you have money or poverty? For Him. Strength of struggles? For Him. Everything and Everyone exists to reveal His Glory. Including Yours.

Yet another!!!!
We can be sick for just a moment. We can be lonely for just a moment. We can be persecuted for just a moment. We can stuggle for just a moment. Can't we? Can't we wait for our peace? It's not about us anyway. And its certainly not about now.

Something to ponder:
If we don't know and experience battle, how can we know of and experience victory?
My personal thought:
All of the times I thought I was using him to make it through, he was using me to get through to someone else.

Trusting God Sometimes its hard to rely upon God. We have grown into a culture where you can only rely upon yourselves. "No one can help you better than yourselves". Right? Yet the Bible tells us to put our trust in God, to have something called faith. Hebrews 11:1-3 Faith makes us sure of what we hope for and gives us proof of what we cannot see. It was their faith that made our ancestors pleasing to God. Besause of our faith, we know that the world was made at God's command. We also know that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen.
For me trusting God is something I stuggle with everyday. It feels like that game they use to make you do at church camp. Where you stood on a picnic table and fell off backwards into a group of peoples arms. I always hated that game.... Maybe its because I've been hurt so many times in the past....I just have a hard time trusting. And yet, I've had peers and friends from church come up to me and say what an amazing faith you have! And yet I look at myself and realize I always need more faith, as does everyone. Why do so many people not believe in God? Because they don't have faith. They need to see to believe. When was the last time you truely relied on God? Whether its at work, or home, with friends, or school, when was the last time you gave your burdens fully up to Him? Do you do this every day?
I challenge you, to challenge youself!

A Penny by: Author Unknown, Source Unknown Several years ago, a friend of mine and her husband were invited to spend the weekend at the husband's employer's home. My friend, Arlene, was nervous about the weekend. The boss was very wealthy, with a fine home on the waterway, and cars costing more than her house.
The first day and evening went well, and Arlene was delighted to have this rare glimpse into how the very wealthy live. The husband's employer was quite generous as a host, and took them to the finest restaurants. Arlene knew she would never have the opportunity to indulge in this kind of extravagance again, so was enjoying herself immensely.
As the three of them were about to enter an exclusive restaurant that evening, the boss was walking slightly ahead of Arlene and her husband.
He stopped suddenly, looking down on the pavement for a long, silent moment. Arlene wondered if she was supposed to pass him. There was nothing on the ground except a single darkened penny that someone had dropped, and a few cigarette butts.
Still silent, the man reached down and picked up the penny. He held it up and smiled, then put it in his pocket as if he had found a great treasure. How absurd! What need did this man have for a single penny? Why would he even take the time to stop and pick it up? Throughout dinner, the entire scene nagged at her.
Finally, she could stand it no longer. She causally mentioned that her daughter once had a coin collection, and asked if the penny he had found had been of some value.
A smile crept across the man's face as he reached into his pocket for the penny and held it out for her to see. She had seen many pennies before! What was the point of this?
"Look at it." He said. "Read what it says."
She read the words "United States of America."
"No, not that; read further."
"One cent?"
"No, keep reading."
"In God we Trust?"
"Yes!"
"And?"
"And if I trust in God, the name of God is holy, even on a coin. Whenever I find a coin I see that inscription. It is written on every single United States coin, but we never seem to notice it! God drops a message right in front of me telling me to trust Him? Who am I to pass it by? When I see a coin, I pray, I stop to see if my trust IS in God at that moment. I pick the coin up as a response to God; that I do trust in Him. For a short time, at least, I cherish it as if it were gold. I think it is God's way of starting a conversation with me. Lucky for me, God is patient and pennies are plentiful!
When I was out shopping today, I found a penny on the sidewalk. I stopped and picked it up, and realized that I had been worrying and fretting in my mind about things I cannot change. I read the words, "In God We Trust," and had to laugh. Yes, God, I get the message. It seems that I have been finding an inordinate number of pennies in the last few months, but then, pennies are plentiful!
And, God is patient...
Have a blessed day!!
The best mathematical equation I have ever seen:
1 cross + 3 nails -------- 4 given

Do You Feel There is No Hope by: Author Unknown, Source Unknown In your times of deep despair, Do you feel there is no hope? As the darkness closes in on you, Do you feel you cannot cope?
As you struggle on through every trial, Do you say "When will it end"? As you cry yourself to sleep at night, Do you wish you had a friend?
When your body's racked with aches and pains, Do you feel you are alone? When you think about the future, Do you fear the great unknown?
There is someone who really cares, And He hears your every cry. His arms are reaching out to you, And on Him you can rely.
When things close in around you, He sees your fear and doubt - He wants to hold you in His arms, And He will never cast you out.
As you stumble through the darkness, He will be your guiding light. He wants to wipe away your tears, For you are precious in His sight.
Reach out right now to Jesus, And let Him take complete control - He'll take that heavy burden, And He'll touch and make you whole.
He's reaching out His arms to you, And He wants to be your friend. Let Him take you in His loving arms, For His love will never end.

This is more of a story about me.
About a month ago my college had a Day of worship in which we had to attend a 3 hour long chapel. At first I could only think jeez, 3 hours?!? Yet by the end of the sermon I was bawling. I have always had a hard time with having but a few freinds and I always ask God why am I so alone. It seems like a legitimate question, right? Wrong! During that chapel I realized that I was never alone, God was with me the entire time! Carrying me like a father carrys his newborn child, gently wiping my tears. We watched a video that really broke all of my emotions, it was of a father who while staying in a cabin by a lake, went for a hike with his 8month son. Half way around the lake it started to rain, and soon it was pouring, thundering and lightening. We had his son in one of those backback things. He had pulled his sons hood up but it had fallen down. Pretty soon his son was screaming, terrified of the only thing that he saw, the strom. The father took his son out of the backpack and held him close to his chest. This father would hav done anything to get his son home saftely. As he hurried back home he whispered these words to his son, "Its going to be okay, I love you, we're gonna make it, I love you". To me this story is about God and me and whenever I'm sad or hurting or in trial I remember those words,"Its going to be okay, I love you, we're gonna make it, I love you". God soothes me with his whispers and can soothe you if you listen close enough for the whispers.
