Thunder rumbled in the distance, as the dark clouds traveled sluggishly across the sky. It was a sign, an omen perhaps, a forewarning for all. And in the midst it all, a lone helix travelled on quick paced feet, hardly making a sound. In fact, everything about the helix was silent besides the occasional eerie clank of metal hitting metal . . . that was it.
The helix moved with predatory grace, and his blue eyes glinted for a moment, and suddenly he changed direction heading north, and loping off with great speed. His expression never changing; it was only when he made it to a clearing he stopped. His tail poised high, he maneuvered over to a rock and leapt onto it.
Pointing his muzzle sky – ward, he let a howl erupt from his chest. It was a message. A clear message that said all; come and get me.

Tyver flicked his short, wavy tail dismissively when the rumble of an oncoming storm sounded in the distance. Raising his bloodied muzzle from his recent kill, a small fawn, he sniffed the air tentatively before turning back to the dead being. He tore at the flesh and swallowed the large chunks of meat when a sudden thought flashed against his mind. Losing his appetite, he snarled at himself, snorting with distaste.
He spun round and stalked away from the prey, leaving it for the gathering crows. His mane bristled with both the anger in himself and the slight touch of electricity in the air. Suddenly, he was running, and as his white paws touched the moist earth he heard something that made his eyes gleam. A call. A challenge.
He didn't know who it was but curiousity made him turn once more and he headed towards the noise, tail raised high, fangs flashing.

The helix snapped his head down. His lips pulled back into a snarl . . . well, in all actuality, it wasn’t a snarl but more of a sadistic grin on his face. He leapt from the top of the rock and landed with a soft thud. He edged towards the helix lazily in a drunken stupor. Until his nose almost touched the other’s.
As he shifted his weight to circle around Tyver his armor clanked against each other. He spoke, his voice lazy and deep, “ Who, are you?” He poked his nose into the Helix’s side now and then, only stopping after he made to full circles around him. He was once again face – to – face.

Tyver reached the edges of the clearing and looked up to see a half snarl, half grin on the other helix's muzzle. He raised his own lips in return, scenting the cold air to discover the other was a male. Bristling his fur, he padded forwards a step, ears flickering when the helix came too close. However, besides the soft nudges in his side and the threatening clank of armor, there was nothing agressive about the other so Tyver only stood his ground, watching the stone gray helix with his head held high.
"One could ashk you the shame thing." Tyver replied, his voice deep and his s's slurred because of his long, thick fangs. He realized, though, that it was he who had gone to the other, not the other way around, and so, with a sigh, he spoke again. "Tyver." he stated simply, his eyes expectant for the other's name in return.
