Prajna turned to look over its newly soaked shoulder and glared bitterly at the grey clouds and their "tears" before turning this dangerous stare to David, who was trying hard not to make eye contact. Of all the days it could have rained...Of all the days where David had forgotten to put the umbrella back into his car.. what a terrible start to an already difficult day. The Asian let out a defeated sigh as the Frei pushed past him and into the noisy mall, water dripping off of its hat and hair, its frown digging further into its features instantly at the overwhelming hustle and bustle of the building. David groaned. This day was beginning to suck so badly..But no, he couldn't give up now.
"Sorry about the rain Prajna, but we can still go shopping 'kay? See, it's nice and dry in here," David choked, swaying between defeat and optimism. Prajna let out a smug "hn" in response before asking coldly, "Where is the restroom?"
Of course. What an obvious question. David began waking ahead of the Frei, guiding it and hoping to avoid having to meet its eyes any more than was necessary, "This way. ...Again, I'm really sorry Prajna but cheer up. You'll still have fun." A fake laugh.
Prajna eyed the man grimly, "You better hope." And with that it entered the restroom and began its hunt for paper towels. David clenched a fist and pressed it against the wall in attempt to restrain himself. Stay cool, David, stay cool. It's just a child, just..
"David! Help not wet any more!" Prajna called.
David sighed as he walked over to the poor Frei and began drying off its little accessories.

While Varun would like to be irritated with Kinsey for getting him all wet, the redhead found something about the rain strangely pleasant. The water felt nice against his pale skin. He didn't really understand why his woman was flailing all the over place, but she was, running ahead until she realized he was taking his time floating down the walk. "Varun! Come ON," she cried, grabbing him by his wrist and hauling him inside. It wasn't until they had entered the mall did Varun realize the unpleasantness of being all wet; the mall was air conditioned.
"Kiiiinseeeey," he complained, shaking his hands and trying to push the hair out of his face. It was all stuck! The colorful Frei gave his guardian a look stuck somewhere between pitiful and cross as he tried to shake himself out again.
Kinsey chuckled. "You're all wet, Varun? That's what you get, playing out in the rain like that." She ignored the dark look the aquatic Raevan gave her and waved him over to the restrooms. "Come on. We can get paper towels and you can dry off, okay? You go in that one." Kinsey pointed to the males' room. "And I'll be in this one right next to you. If you come out before I do, wait right here, okay?" The idea of letting Varun venture off on his own put a flutter in her chest, but she very well couldn't go in to the men's room with him, and vice versa. "Just take the paper towels and leave, okay?"
"Wet," Varun said, appreciating the new word for this feeling. He glanced at his guardian and rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes. Understand. Get towel. Back outside. Wait for Kinseeeey." And with that, the Frei pushed into the men's room and looked around for towels...only to find another Raevan?
".....what?"

David had just finished patting Prajna's hat dry with paper towels when the impatient Frei found a faster way to dry: the sensory air dryer. Pulling a little string out from its crimson hair, Prajna playfully waved its hands below the nozzle of the machine before sticking its head underneath, laughing all the while. David rolled his eyes, moving on to the fiery Frei's rings. He stopped at two odd looking rings, the decorations being a darker, greyer colored than the others and he couldn't help but think, Are these new?
That's when the restroom door swung open. It would have been perfectly normal if the door swung open and there was some other Gaian there but there were no footsteps and what's what caught David's attention. Raising his eyes, he saw a familiar spiraling ribbon before lifting his gaze high enough to stop on an unrecognizable face. Bright red hair. Vibrant green eyes. For a split second, David considered the Raevan a girl but no, it wouldn't have come in here if it was a girl right? He turned to his own charge who was still giggling wildly and tossing its hair this way and that under the air dryer. Maybe it was a girl. He sighed but then took in the newcomer's expression: curious.
"Prajna," David stated calmly as the star stopped momentarily to acknowledge him, though coldly.
"What? Busy-- Hn?" Prajna's eyes turned to the soaking stranger and the restroom immediately became quiet. It lifted its head away from the nozzle and seemed to inspect every inch of the new face. He had glorious hair and such bright colors. For a moment Prajna looked down at itself and took in its darker hues before frowning in disapproval. Prajna then turned and called back out to it, "Who are you?"

Varun was completely baffled by the scene he had stumbled upon. What...what was he doing? Tipping his head to the side, the Frei pushed red hair out of his face as he tried to determine, what, exactly, the stranger was doing. He didn't really have enough time to figure out, because Prajna, as his man had called him so, had turned to look at him. The silence seemed to grow between the pair and suddenly Varun felt like he was on show.
Vaguely alarmed, the watery Frei flared up his headfins and tried to meet Prajna's eyes. He didn't look up for a while and the longer left in silence, the more nervous the newborn got. He fidgeted, twitching once or twice before the stranger finally addressed him. "Varun. V-uh-roon." A pale finger pointed at Prajna's chest. "Prajna." He knew. He heard.

"Varun."
Prajna tasted the name and found that it was silky, foreign-smooth. Rivener's name had been attractive, but in a rough, raw, meaty kind of way. Xiu's too, though it was simple and sweet. Varun...was simply a name to be said over and over again. A smirk crawled onto Prajna's genderless features as it shot David a glance, making the guardian incredibly uncomfortable. What was going on?
"Hey, Prajna, how bout you let him get a go at the dryer? He's wet too y'kn--" David's stormy eyes were immediately shot down by his Frei's piercing blue ones and the Asian carefully placed the last ring on top of the marble counter, now completely uncertain of what was taking place. Prajna returned its attention to Varun, now filled with enough confidence to begin floating towards it. It wouldn't be cautious like it had been with Xiu. Whenever it had been assertive, as with Rivener, things always seemed to become greatly more interesting. David watched nervously as Prajna floated closer until it was about a foot from Varun, still smirking devilishly.
"Varun, Varun, Varun, hm? Varun thinks Prajna is pretty?" the Frei purred before giving a small spin, a few water droplets being flung from its still dampened ribbon. It stopped facing the Frei, its face now blank but somehow still warm looking.
David rolled his eyes. The Frei was just looking for attention. Again.

"....uhhhh?" Taken completely off-guard, Varun raised his eyebrows and floated backwards. He wasn't quite sure he wanted the purring Frei so close to him. Half-wishing Kinsey were here to explain the situation, the rumbling Raevan moved back an inch for every inch Prajna approached. His wings opened part-war, fluttering nervously as he tried to assess the situation. Nothing. He had no idea what was going on. Rivener hadn't asked questions like this. LuLu had called him pretty and Zul. Well, Zul was Zul.
At least he knew what pretty was, Varun consented, even if he didn't like the meaning behind the silly word. But why was Prajna asking him? Finally giving Prajna a confused frown, the redhead twitched his headfins out to the side and shook his head. "What? Whatfor?" he demanded. He wasn't answering the question if it was going to get him in some kind of trouble! This other Frei had trouble written all over him.

David watched, feeling a bit helpless, as Prajna cornered a very confuse Varun; His anxiety was written all over his elegant facial features, but what was David to do? The Asian recalled the first disagreement between Prajna and himself, a dispute that ended in a week's worth of silent treatment -for both of them- from Namini and, for David, this also meant a week worth's of frozen dinners. ..Ugh. Prajna, because it was like a newborn puppy to his sister, received a light scolding and a week's banishment from the television (ooh the tantrums!). David let out a sigh. He wasn't going to let another fight occur between them, but his veterinary side pitied the poor newcomer. These Raevans really were too cute and childlike.. Maybe..he could just..ease~ Prajna away..
"Prajna, I think Varun means to ask--" but when David cautiously placed a hand on his Frei's shoulder, he felt a kind of intense cold..burning rush through his fingertips; He retracted his hand and looked warily at Prajna's face: The frown found upon the androgynous Frei's lips was one of a disapproving teacher or mentor, and the glare was definitely similar to the ones David had received from some angry clients of his. Prajna..was pissed. And instinctively, David remained stunned. This was like a first child to him. He had absolutely no clue what to do except..watch?
Prajna eyed Varun's bobbing head fins curiously, quickly noting how they reflected his mood, and deepened its frown. Varun had shook its head 'No' when asked of Prajna's beauty. "Whatfor?" he had asked it. Hmph. This was no good and Prajna felt its temper rise as it had with Rivener.
"What you mean 'Whatfor'? Prajna wants to know you about pretty Prajna!" its voice was dripping with venom. "Varun thinks pretty more than Prajna?"
A dangerous Frei indeed. Prajna waited impatiently for the Frei's answer, a hand flexed to attack its face if he admitted that yes, he did think he was prettier than Prajna itself.

Varun swallowed again. He'd met many people in his short life, but he'd never met someone so. The aquatic Frei didn't even have a word to describe the way Prajna was making him feel. Bright yellow wings flared out, twitching as he held them out as large as he could get them. His headfins started to puff out as well and the seasonal Raevan tried to make himself as large as possible, hoping, perhaps, Prajna would back off. And his voice. The scales on Varun's wings began to fade to black, just the scales, hardly noticeable, and the Raevan turned back to Prajna.
"Zul says. LuLu says. Varun is pretty. Like sunset." He shifted again, puffing up as Prajna raised his hand. Green eyes narrowing, he brushed his red hair behind an ear as he curled his lips into a nasty snarl. He did not like being threatened, especially into compliments. "Whatfor? Whatfor Prajna yell? Pretty? No. Pretty not demand. Varun shifted again, locking glares with the fiery Frei. What was that word Kinsey had used, when he wanted all the umbrellas? "Pretty? Prajna? No. Prajna? Greedy. Yes. Greedy."

"Greedy."
For both guardian and charge, the word was like a slap in the face. David let out a soft "ooohh" and winced when the word crossed Varun's tensed lips before his stormy eyes hurried to read Prajna's expression: The genderless Frei was intensely shocked. The inverted flame's brow was still knitted together, confused and taken aback, as its mouth now gaped at the stranger's unexpected boldness. When Prajna had met Rivener, it had gained a new experience involving pain but this new.. torture Varun tested was indescribable; It made Prajna feel dark inside, with malicious thoughts now coursing through its mind and body. It didn't know what "greedy" meant but the way Varun had said it made the Frei snap; It reminded it of a word Namini had taught it quite recently: "selfish." And "selfish" meant that you ...were a bad person. The smoky rune flickered a bit brighter as Prajna attempted to think of a comeback. It did not take long.
"Zul, LuLu says?! Pretty huh? Varun is pretty, huh?! NO!" With that said, Prajna, ignoring Varun's feeble attempts at intimidation, beat its charcoal-colored wings hard and pushed the other Frei against the cold tile. It immediately pressed its cheek against the other's face and let out a dangerous hiss, its fingers intertwined with Varun's scarlet jacket, "Whatfor Varun? Whatfor what WHAT?! Varun is selfish, no."
Prajna released the Frei as it chuckled darkly, floating back about a foot, "No..Varun is ugly."
David felt himself choking and stared helplessly at the door, which the two Freis were blocking. How was he supposed to get help?!

Varun's lips curled into a wicked grin when his words sent Prajna into a stupor, flapping his wings once or twice. The scales were all completely black, a striking difference against the fiery orange membrane. He tossed his head and continued to bare fangs. The aquatic Frei had not, by any means, expected the assault on his person. Varun let an angered screech escape and did not have time to retaliate before Prajna had let him go. (Why had that touch felt so odd?) But he was not going to let it end. Not so soon.
Varun did not know the meaning behind ugly, other than that it was clearly and insult, but that was enough to send him over. With a ferocious roar befitting a sea monster, he launched himself at the older Raevan, wings and fins still flared to their fullest extent. "No! WhatFOR!? WHATFOR, PRAJNA." he bellowed, confusion giving way to frustration before melting into sheer aggression. He could play this game just as good as Prajna. Grabbing at his shirt, he shoved the other Raevan against the wall and twisted to hit him across the face.
Kinsey had been waiting outside for Varun for a few minutes, now. She had expected that he might get sidetracked by something interesting he saw, but it shouldn't have taken him this long, adventures or no. And that was when Kinsey heard the roars. Turning a bright red, Kinsey stared at the door of the men's room and bit her lip.
"Ah, hello? Is there....anyone.....in there?"

The inverted flame smirked satisfactorily as it watched Varun finally come to understand that it had been belittled and insulted. Prajna didn't understand 'greedy' but if it was a fight involving bad words, it was determined to win. What it could not have prepared itself for was the realization on just how far it had pushed Varun. The star did not expect the Leviathan to attack. Prajna remained unfazed when the younger Frei began to throw beast-like screams its way, its wicked grin spreader wider and wider as it noted the sheer frustration in its voice; Yes, he would come to understand this pain Prajna felt! But this feeling of accomplishment lasted for only a few seconds before Prajna felt a physical pain, releasing a yelp in the process.
"Varun! PRAJNA, stop!" David called instinctively, though he only took one step forward. His grey eyes were fixated on the spreading blackness of Varun's scales and the man bit his lower lip as he realized just how truly helpless he was; He did not know how to break them up without risking personal injury..Though maybe that was ..what a guardian should do?
Prajna ignored David's order but looked Varun dead in the eye, narrowing its sharp cerulean orbs at the beast and remaining unintimidated still. It..was surprised, yes but perhaps..it could still turn things around. It laughed rudely in the other's face.
"HAHA! WHATFOR PRAJNA, WHATFOR?!" it mocked as loudly as its voice would allow before sticking a tongue out at Varun. That's when Varun turned itself and prepared to strike the fiery Frei. It smirked once again. "Hit Prajna. Even if Varun hit Prajna, Varun still be UGLY."
It burst out into a terrible laugh as David rolled his eyes at its act and attempted to scoot closer to the door. That's when he heard it. It was a mouse-like voice but it was an outside voice nonetheless. Maybe that damned guardian of Varun's perhaps..
"OBVIOUSLY. Can you please help us?" David called, though his eyes remained glued to the scene playing out in front of him.

Varun snarled, his usual expression of boredom long since gone. Prajna was shrieking at him, saying all sorts of stupid and meaningless things. Varun had enough. With an absolutely animalistic roar, he darted forward and latched onto the junction between shoulder and neck, sinking his teeth in as hard as he could as he started to exert pressure. Stupid Prajna. He'd show him.
His wings flared well out to the side, his hands clung to the other Raevan wildly, struggling to find balance as well as cause the other Frei as much physical damage as possible. Varun was out for blood and not just literally, as it seemed. He would make Prajna stop the down words. He did not deserve to be looked down at.
Kinsey swallowed nervously and nodded to the voice behind the door. Gods help her if Varun was terrorizing innocent-
"FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODS, VARUN FINCH, YOU LET GO OF THAT RAEVAN RIGHT NOW."
Varun did no such thing.

Prajna watched as if in slow motion as Varun angled his head impulsively and then closed in on the flame's neck. The scene played itself a second time within the back of Prajna's mind, but the entire film was crammed into a realistic time span, a condensed 3-second version. The pain came next and god was it incredible. Prajna couldn't help but scream, from surprise and, obviously, from the fact that a new shade of red was now decorating its porcelain skin. Coughing up a bit of bitter blood, Prajna slowly turned its eyes to meet Varun's. The other applied more pressure and Prajna let out another blood-curdling scream.
"...Ugly," Prajna spat out weakly, its pride still going strong though the pain was unbearable now. But just when the Frei thought things couldn't get any worse, the Leviathan gripped it firmly in place with its strong hands, causing Prajna's nerves to tense and go into complete overload. So it did only what it could do: It fought back.
Another scream was used in hopes of distracting Varun before Prajna pried one arm free and raised it to Varun's own neck. Immediately on contact, Prajna felt an electric pain similar to the one it had felt with Rivener, though not simply not as stinging, before its fingertips began to give off light blue flames. Prajna noted that it really had no idea what it was doing but then a numbing sensation began to spread from its fingertips to Varun, a transfer of magic that seemed impossible to feel but it was! Prajna smirked but then coughed another spit of saliva and blood.

Varun twinged when Prajna applied a strange, electric feeling. Before the youngling had any time to digest the sensation, his rival changed the sensation and suddenly, Varun felt nothing. He felt nothing in his neck, it was spreading down, down, like a warm, freezing rain and in its wake, he felt nothing. Instantly terrified, the aquatic Frei shot backwards as fast as he could; he didn't even pry his jaws all the way off Prajna.
Gasping and touching his back frantically, Varun gave Prajna baffled look. "What? Whatfor? Prajna, Prajna.....whatfor?" His words came in short bursts, the Frei still breathless from the attack. The scales on his wings were already fading back to orange and his wings had folded halfway, simply twitching with nervous energy as Varun floated and waited for something else to react to. Nothing like this had ever happened to him before.
But no explanation came and the redhead looked for his guardian. She just stood there, expression blank, her mouth hanging open. No words. She had no words for him. Prajna's man had no words for him. An exasperated sigh. He finally turned to Prajna, eyes narrowing suspiciously. "More words! Words!
