(Note: This is for those who are not off fighting hollows and bounts within the story line.)
Just north of the soul society and beyond the gate is a dark forest. A odd riatsu poors out of the forest. This riatsu is coming from the shinigami and hollow trapped within the maggots nest. When ever a shinigami is caught after a murder or the breaking of the high rules of the soul society they are sent to live the rest of their days within the Maggots Nest. Inside this cave a shinigami is no longer able to control their powers and they are stripped from their zanpakuto. Many years go the spell holding back their riatsu broke and now the shinigami within have taken hold of the cave. Many guards have entered the cave to try and calm the situation but have never returned.
In order to bring the situation to an end, Captain Commander Abarai Renji has taken head of the lieutenants left in the soul society and they head to the maggots nest to distroy the hollow and save the shinigami they can.

Renji stepped out of shunpo just before the gate north of the soul soceity. He was dawned in his battle gear, his white squad one haori was tied to his right arm as his black goggles where wraped on his head. He sttod in wait for the lieutenants to join him at the gate.

Akino appeared behind her captain swiftly. "Sorry for the wait, Taichou" She said softly, fixing her posture. She glanced around the place, her hands on her waist. "What's with all the entities now a days. " She ranted, looking up the sky. The wind blew hard. Their hakamas and hair flowed with it. You can hear Akino's bell. It is attached on it's hilt, it rang gracefully with the wind.

"Not sure. Somethings hard at work pissing us off though." He looked a bit ticked off. The sound of the bell confused him a bit. His eyes swiftly shifted around looking for the root of the noise that ruined his solking. His attention turned to her zanpakuto as his eyes squinted.
"A bell?" He poked at it quickly to listen to it ring, then laughed. "Cute" He said before turning back to the gate as it slowly started to lift open. "Hope you can use it. This will be no easy task..."

Akino blinked at her captain, giving him a hint of confusion. She wondered why he poked her hilt. She shook her head then shrugged at what Renji commented. "At least it doesn't involve cleaning." she said, glancing at the gate.
"What else is there to use?" she smirked, shoving her long strawberry-blonde hair away from her right shoulder. "This will be hard, even if it means tying my hair neatly!" She said with excitement. "Are there others coming, Taichou?" she asked, trying to be innocent as possible.
The gates opened, giving the two cold breeze. She felt her spine chill by the coldness the cave brought. She narrowed her amber orbs.

"Glad you made it, Ready for a little fun?" He started to walk from the gate and seemed to disapear in the black forest as he made his way to the enterance of the maggots nest. Renji had stopped as he noticed the two quards standing at the enterance. From what he was told all the guards in the area where inside fighting off some hollow that escapd from mayuris holding. ~A trap~ He tought to himself as his eyes narrowed noticing the wounds on the cests of the shinigami. They where dead. Something had attacked them and killed them. Things where not adding up. Holllow attacks in the world of the living, bount attacks in the rukon and now the murde of the shinigami at the maggots nest. Someone had let those hollow free..
Renji drew his zanpakuto, His massive riatsu began to rush from him and filled the air. The air became heavy and thick weighing down the lieutenants.

"Weird." She said, twirling her hair while staring at the dead shinigamis. "This will be interesting." she smiled, walking side by side with Renji.
"Hey Inu-kun" She greeted her fellow lieutenant, glancing at him. "We don't know yet, but we'll figure it out." She answered, glancing around the cave as she followed her captain's steps. The breeze became colder and colder as they walked farther.

His eyes squint as he trys to figure everything out. Everything going on was like a puzzle and the picture was the persn who is behind all of this. In the end he will figure it out he thought as he reached back and gripped Inu's robes. "I am sorry in advanced for this. My lieutenant is a lady and I would never subject something like this to her.." He tosses the lieutenant to the enterance of the maggots nest. A orange kidou wall blocked the way into the cave. It was a trap. He could senc the riatsu of hollows drawing near. As he began to walk out to the caves enterance he laughed a bit as the katana layed to rest on his sholder.
"Sorry man, I had to throw something out there and if it was trap a rock wouldnt do the job. A kidou would have ruined the cave if it didnt have a barrier and well. You just so happen to be in arms reach." He gave off a cocky yet innocent smile. He looked in the direction the hollow riatsu was pooring from and ran off in that direction as he screamed " Howl! Zabimaru!" The zanpakuto was released and the links spread out as he whiped it twords the first hollow smashing it in the mask.

She gasped as she saw Renji threw Inu. Her eyes widened as she felt the wind when Inu's body passed her. She heard a the body slammed on the barrier, her eye twitched imagining the pain. She glanced at Renji. She also felt the hollow's presence, her eyes widened more as she saw her captain running ahead. "Taichou!" she exclaimed, holding her katana's hilt. The bells chimed as she drew her zanpaktou. "Taichou, let me do it!" She suggested. Akino shunpo'd to Renji. "Don't spoil your reiatsu for something lowly!" she appeared in front of renji making him stop.
She pointed her blade to the hollow's direction. "Like dancing fire falling to the sacred ground, fall…” Her voiced echoed, she closed her eyes then furrowed her eyebrows. "AKITSUKI!" she chanted loudly, as her voice echoed in the cave.
Her amber eyes gleamed as her katana's blade bursts into autumn leaves. The breeze blew to Renji's direction, it was giving a warm and calm feeling. Akino's calm and warm reiatsu fought with the cold breeze.
The autumn leaves attacked the 2nd hollow that appeared, cutting it into shreds. She was shocked when Renji attacked the first, she was expecting she'll be the one attacking it. "Nice cut, Taichou!" She grinned at renji.

"that hurt captain abarai."he lifted his open palmed hand, towards a third hollow.*" Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and claw out your own throat!" the hollow vanished in a wide swath of red light that lasted a few seconds.*" and I mean that really hurt. Im part of the kidou specialist squad. you could have just asked." he said quietly drawing the long nodachi from its sheath.*

Renji smiles as he turns and seemingly pushes up some glasses that are not really even there. He catches himself as another hollow atttacks, his Zabimaru ripping through its mask, it falls to the ground. A cocky slightly evil smile works on the face of Renji as he looks back to the third lieutenant joining the hollow hunt. "Captain of squad one Abarai Renji" He says as his eye contact meets those of the lieutenant.
