Who: Namini, Prajna & Alex
When: Mid-afternoon, after school
Where: The Lab Headquarters
Weather: Fair to middlin'

A booted foot bounced jauntily over a cargo-clad knee in time with music that only the woman could hear. She had already sent a message to Namini in regards to her Raevan, and was now awaiting the school-bound youth to arrive for pick up. Alex considered this an easy day, and it was why she was sitting in the chair behind the main desk, humming along to some fast little diddy that could be heard softly around the single earbud nestled against her lobe. With pen cap between her teeth, she was orchestrating a fabulous concert with scarred fingers and the pen itself, vivid green eyes lidded, smiling face framed by curls of dark hair which she had left down today.

The song came to an end, and with a disgruntled sound, she spun back around in the chair to face the desk, booted foot coming down to rest over the ankle of her other leg, continuing to idly follow the next slower tune that came over her iPod. It was about time for Namini to show, prompting the Italian to quadruple-check her paperwork to make sure it was all ready to go. "Huh," she mused to herself for not the first time that day, one sun-kissed finger tapping over the Raevan's known information. "No gender. I'll have to tease Kyou on that one."

Namini hopped off a noisy bus so quickly, she nearly fell face first onto the sandy streets of Gambino. She glanced at a pink watch adorning her slender wrist and let out a small string of unidentifiable words before pushing herself forward into a girlish sprint. I'm late! I'm so late! her mind raced as she glanced hesitantly around at the foreign buildings. They were so colorful and there were just so many! How was she ever supposed to find the building? An address, she needed an address.

Stopping for a panicky moment, Namini immediately began to rummage through her school bag, hating herself for not having cleaned it out before. She had received a beautiful letter a few days earlier, asking her to pick up her newborn and thankfully, thankfully she had remembered to bring it. The second her delicate fingers felt the crisp edge of the envelope, the teen pulled the letter out and skimmed the front of an address. The brunette turned her eyes upward at the street sign. Right street. Now where was this building...

After a few more minutes of wandering, Namini found herself faced with a newly established building, one that seemed to fit the title of "Lab 305" but possessed no outside detailing to give this title away. She inhaled slowly and reached for the door. Hopefully she wasn't going to make a fool out of herself. -Click!-

"Hello?.." the teen mewed as she allowed half of her body to enter the elaborate building. Then all of her body. A cautious foot and then she stopped. "He..hello? Miss?" Namini found herself staring at a bored-looking woman with dark hair and gulped. The teen hoped she wasn't too late for their appointment.

The woman glanced up at the sound of a new voice, one she was quite unfamiliar with. Vivid green eyes rested pleasantly upon the young woman, a bright smile suddenly lighting her face. "Hey," she greeted the other in a friendly manner, "you must be Namini!" Alex swung her legs over and off the seat, vaulting herself to stand, rounding the desk with a hand extended in greetings. "I'm Alex, I work for Kyou both in the Lab and as a Guardian. Looks like you'll be joining the ranks of the latter," she winked playfully. It was an exciting day! She was of the opinion that Namini shouldn't look like she was called to detention rather than to pick up a new and beautiful being!

Well, it sounded better than detention to her, anyway.

The exhuberant Italian then turned, picking up the papers - now neatly affixed upon a clipboard - and handed it to the young lady. "Just need you to confirm all the goodies - right essence, right soul, right owner - and my part of this will be sealed. Do you want to fill this out now or take a looksie at your charge first?" she asked in a lackidaisical manner, although her smile was trying very hard to warm into a grin. Alex couldn't help but tease a little, and she wasn't near as bad as she had been with Josh. Really, the aid was just as excited as the prospective Guardians, oft times more so in her own scientific enthusiasm.

Nervous, Namini was only able to nod, repeatedly, at the woman's statements. Yes, she was Namini. Yes, it did seem like she was to become a guardian and further her involvement with the Lab. Yes, yes, yes---

"Excuse me?" Namini choked, receiving the clipboard and staring dumbfounded at the woman. Did she just say...she could meet her Raevan..now? Though this was exactly the reason she had come to the Lab in the first place, the words hadn't seemed to have sunk in until now. Namini was becoming a guardian. She.. was receiving a new life! The teen used the top of the clipboard to cover her beaming face, her cheeks now rosy with excitement and her lips curled as far up as possible, into her biggest smile. Then finally, a sweet giggle was produced and Namini nodded again, now enthusiastically.

"Please! I'd love to meet him..or..her? first," she squealed.

Somewhere in another room though, a suspicious Frei was floating about. Cerulean eyes pinged off of random things throughout the room: walls, light switches, pencils, paper, the clock. The inverted flame beat its charcoal wings irritably. Why..was it here? What was happening?

A youthful giggle bubbled from the woman's lips, easily getting wound up in Namini's growing excitement. The partial question gave her a pause, glancing again to the clipboard. "I'm not sure of that, honestly," she replied with a wide grin, "Kyou didn't mark it. Let's go see!"

Alex was a terrible influence on enthusiasm. The woman practically skipped backwards before turning to head into the hallway behind the main desk, moving sideways to better see the teenage woman and beckon her with a curl of her fingers. Yes, she was a ham, but she was excited! Each new Raevan was like...like inheriting a new family member! Someone new to teach and - more importantly - to learn from, to coexist and build something remarkable between them. It was something even she and her charge were still doing, and she couldn't help but think fondly upon Zul, who was currently at home with her brother.

She reached the last door at the end of the hallway, gripping the handle and opening the entrance with a grand sweeping motion of her free hand. Alex had decided to let Namini see the Raevan second, and she third; it was only right that the Guardian should be the second to lay eyes on the fantastic being, with Kyou being the first. It took every ounce of restraint in her not to fling the door into the hallway and bound in, instead eagerly watching Namini's facial expression, biting her grinning bottom lip with anticipation.

Namini hesitated for a moment as Alex stated that Kyou hadn't marked her Frei's gender, but quickly pushed the question from her mind: She was meeting her charge at last!!

Following the excitable employee towards a back room, Namini was suddenly overwhelmed with goosebumps. From the cold perhaps? Or perhaps it was from some kind of ominous feeling..? They stopped at a door. Namini watched nervously as the older brunette reached for the door's intimidating, silver handle and flung it open without hesitation. The teen was unexpectedly overcome with a sense of anxiety but attempted to mimic the woman's bravery. Why was she suddenly so scared? Her charge was nothing to be scared of right? An image of an angry Rivener flashed through her mind. -Gulp!-

Taking a step into the bright room, Namini's eyes shifted around curiously. That's when their eyes met. The teen's unique but motherly-warm eyes expressed her cowardice at meeting the other's icy blues; They were simply so ..piercing. The joker-themed being smirked as Namini caught herself staring and abruptly looked away, though she didn't seem to catch her jittery mouth in time, "You're so..pretty."

There was a confused sound, an unfamiliar noise as the Frei flapped its wings.

"P-pra..prayny?" came the serious jumble of curiosity. Namini looked up and saw that the crimson haired beauty was within inches of her face. Its skin, flawless. Its smirk, charming in a wicked sense. Its..features overall though seemed..hard to define?

"Ye-yes. You're very pretty" Namini repeated, her confidence slowly returning. She looked back at Alex with a look that asked "Now what?"

Two thoughts went through Alex's head after she peeked in side. The first was, Wow, that's a lot of red! How retro! The second, more prominant one was, What is it?

Even after hearing the soft, undistinguishable voice and the vague mannerisms, Alex had no answer. She could not, for the life of her, decide what on Gaia's green pastures she was looking at. No wonder the information was left blank! At Namini's inquisitive glance, she gave an encouraging smile, entering the room enough to stand by the door, but no further. "Introduce yourself," she encouraged the teenager softly, trying not to be too demanding. She couldn't imagine what this was like for someone of the new Guardian's age! It gave her a new respect for Isi, Lil and Ty. "Teach...your Raevan your name. And then give one in return."

Androgynous, she decided after a quick check for defining features and finding none. No chest, certainly nothing lower to define; the jaw was decidedly soft but square, the face completely devoid of a distinguishing characteristic to define a gender. They would have to wait this one out, it seemed, which made her most curious about the essence and soul. She'd have to review that again...

"My..name? Oh, yes! My name. My name is.." Namini turned her doe-like eyes back to her future charge and gulped hesitantly. Something..some kind of dangerous vibe was being emitted from this newborn, but for now, Namini had to look past that. First impressions are the most important! she recited to herself, a poor mantra indeed. "My name is Namini, Namini Nao and..I'll be your new guardian." A soft smile.

But the Frei seemed to want to make this first encounter as uncomfortable and testing as it was able. It beat its wings hard, once, twice, before narrowing its eyes at Namini, who in turn, silently pondered what the Frei's deal was. Had she upset it somehow?

"Oh! Your name..Um..What would suit a pretty little thing such as yourself? ...and I cannot tell if you're a boy or girl.." Namini mewed, as the Frei seemed to grow more and more agitated. The teen was quickly unsure if it was struggling to find the right words or if it was truly enraged with her behavior, somehow.

"Prajna. Prayjn..Prajna. PrajNA." was the final gasp as the fiery Frei seemed to pinken in the cheeks and deepen its frown.

Namini blinked.

"Prajna?" she repeated.

"Prajna!" came the aggressive reply, the Frei now pointing at itself. That's when it clicked. As the inverted flame shot its eyes away from her, Namini instinctively realized what it was trying to say...It really was quite the learner and so she smiled, "Prajna is a beautiful name!"

And with that, she closed the small gap between them, her arms wrapped around the other's delicate neck. The newly named Prajna let out a shrill shriek of surprise as it squirmed weakly against her weight, the teen laughing at its darkening cheeks.

Name is Prajna. Prajna is..me? the redhead thought, confused but satisfied.

The woman's excitement took a momentary backseat to her keen, scientific mind, green eyes flicking between Guardian and Raevan. Namini seemed uncertain, a little frightened, but determined. Affectionate, persistant and pleased once she dominated the previous hesitance. Good for you, hun, she thought as the teen embraced her Raevan. Alex watched the young Frei's reactions, retaining her silence. This one seemed to have the same lack of personal space as Zul, curious, stubborn and seemingly already having a sense of self and self-worth. Her eyes widened a touch as the name was formed, biting the inside of her lip.

Did the Raevan just name itself?

Fascinating! She was certain Kyou would want to hear of this! The Italian smiled, vaguely amused and its discomfort of embracing despite the closeness it seemed to prefer. This one was going to be a challenge, she felt. "Prajna it is," she agreed with a nod at Namini's excitement, making a mental note to fill in the paper when she got back to the front desk. "I'll answer any questions for you that you may have, but...I understand this time is a bit on the overwhelming side." A soft chuckle escaped her, the smile she wore one of gentle fondness. "I'll give you my card and the number to the Lab if you'd like, so you can call us should you have any questions of concerns at a later date."

She remained against the doorframe with the door itself still propped open, simply observing and making no move to encroach on that perfect, special moment. Alex felt slightly uneasy with her inability to better define what this Frei was, the quirky nature only lending to the idea of mystique. It wasn't a bad thing, but she certainly hoped the teen was ready to take on the challenges that Prajna would certainly present.

The hug...was lasting too long.

Prajna had stopped squirming for a few moments but Namini was warm. Too warm for the Frei's liking and soon, it was squirming again.

"Oh. Sorry about that," the teen chuckled, unwrapping herself from her charge. Prajna floated a few feet away from her, before turning its attention to Chrystali. Her mouth was moving so fast, like this girl's had been. Prajna's cerulean eyes remained locked on the woman's mouth as Namini nodded in understanding. The Frei's attention shifted between the talkers, an unspoken envy quickly developing.

"Are you sure I don't need to fill anything out right now? Should I take something home and mail it back here or drop it off?" Namini asked, pulling out her cellphone from her purse. That's when Prajna saw it. Something it wanted more than to be able to talk.. A cell phone charm. Without knowing what it was though, it couldn't ask for it, simply stare in awe. The beads hanging from Namini's phone were simply stunning, despite their plastic fabrication and simple design; Their reflections twinkled in Prajna's eyes... But how to get it?

"Prajna."

"Hm?"

Namini watched as Prajna's delicate hand, like a hawk, swooped in and removed the pink cell phone from her own hand and caress the cover and then the beaded charm delicately. She smiled hesitantly. This one..was going to be trouble wasn't it?
